Disappointed....again.
This the second pair of Peter Storm walking boots that I've had over the years that have broken within a few months. Very poor quality and very disappointing. I'm not sure how a company can produce such poor products and have such bad reviews online, and yet do absolutely nothing about improving their products. Sort it out Peter Storm!!
I have bought two pairs of Peter Storm…
I have bought two pairs of Peter Storm wellies from Go Outdoors and each pair have split at the seem within months.
Shoddy quality and extremely over priced for something that won’t last longer than a few months.
I bought a Peter Storm Parka from “ Go…
I bought a Peter Storm Parka from “ Go outdoors’ within less than a year the zip has broken and has fallen off .
I now have to use the Velcro to fasten the coat .
I really wish I knew about this site before buying . I won’t buy another of their products
Shabbily made not fit for purpose
I bought a pair of convertible trousers and I’ve worn them a few times and washed them a couple of times. The zip is already stiffening and feels like it’s going to break and the convertibles are so shabbily made the joining is already coming away. They were not cheap and I would not recommend them
Peter Storm Mens winter Jacket fauty Zip
Bought a Peter Storm Mens winter jacket. Not worn it over the summer but now find that the ZIP is weak and faulty. Not able to wear in winter! Unfortunately I can’t find receipt but the Jacket looks like new and unworn.
Beware of poor quality ZIPS
Bought a pair of Peter storm walking…
Bought a pair of Peter storm walking shoes about 6 months ago but I’ve used them for a week when I was in Italy and a couple of other days at home now that my other boots are worn out.
Soles have split on both boots and it appears the sole was attached by a thin edge of glue where they meet the leather, they were never comfortable anyway hence them not being worn much, they are heavy for a shoe. I knew they were poor quality when I bought them but it was just for the holiday.
Was going to say poorly designed but I guess they are made with an eye on maximum profit without any thought for the end user, I suspect you could buy similar quality boots in china for £2 which is probably what they did.
My Peter Storm walking boots failed…
My Peter Storm walking boots failed after 7 months.
Hiking boots only suitable for hiking indoors
I bought some Peter Storm hiking boots from Go Outdoors in January 2024. I'm not sure of the model as box and receipt are long gone. I wore them a few times in dry conditions and everything was fine but cut to October and after wearing them in long, wet grass I have discovered they are not at all waterproof. I had to wring out my socks. I'm probably going to have a battle getting a refund as I don't have the receipt anymore. These boots are total cack.
Waterproof YrousersPurchased a pair of waterproof trousers…
Purchased a pair of waterproof trousers in September. First time needed to use was practically impossible even with side seams opened. Boots kept snagging on interior mesh. Had to sit down on wet ground to manoeuvre them on. Second time thought would be easier as wearing shoes, not so. Same performance!
Does anyone test your products???
Wish now I’d read your reviews page before I purchased anything. I wouldn’t have bothered. Money wasted as I’ll now have to buy again from another brand. Lesson learnt!
My Grandad was the founder of Peter…
My Grandad was the founder of Peter storm and sadly since his death the product are not made in the UK. The company was sold off to bigger chains and the quality of the products isn't as high as they were. You shouldn't ever wash the water proof Jackets, care instructions should be followed so if you put it in the washing machine it will fall apart, they aren't made to deal with washing powder. If you look after your Peter storm gear it will last for years. My dad had a customer who had a jumper that lasted 40 years and ask my dad if he could buy the same one, sadly it was discontinued, but as it was a present for his dad my dad sent him a couple for the price of 1. I am sad to see so many 1 star reviews, perhaps if products were still made in the UK this wouldn't be the case.
Waterproof Jacket, fell apart after washing.
I bought a waterproof Jacket with fleece detachable liner, I thought it was quite good until I washed it, the waterproof coating (it looks like latex) just came away from the waterproof outer and clumped together along the bottom seam, along with lots of lengths of tape that I assume were to give the stitched seams strength/waterproofing. The label said 'Made for the British weather' that must be the rare sunny weather.
The jacket was made in China, probably to the lowest quality possible. Do they not check the materials before giving the production go-ahead?
Peter Storm “waterproof” coat…
Bought a Peter Storm “Tornado waterproof” coat from Millets.
First time wearing in light/medium rain for just a few minutes and I was immediately soaked.
Absolutely zero waterproofing… very disappointed & subsequently spent a day soaking wet at work because of it!
Peter Storm Rivelin Walking Boot
Bought boots from GO Outdoors on the 21st June 2024.
In August of 2024 I noticed my left boot disintegrating, brown surface peeling away from main body of boot.
Boots are no longer waterproof!
These boots are worn everyday for dog walking, approx 2/3 hours a day.
Not at all impressed with very poor quality boots. Only glad they were bought at discounted price of £50.00 and did not pay the full price of £100.00.
Have bought the Hi-Tech version of these boots in the past and they were proper leather and lasted for at least a year.
Avoid these Peter Storm boots are they are absolute rubbish.
I will be contacting Trading Standards
Very poor quality
Low quality shoes, wore out in a few months of light use.
No refund received after 3 weeks of waiting - Peter Storm cancelled my order
Got charged for a purchase which was then cancelled without my knowledge. Still waiting to be refunded 3 weeks later. Unable to reply to automatic response emails from their so called Customer Services and nobody answering the telephone. It seems Peter Storm are happy to charge for products which are not in stock - so you can pay for them in advance and then they do not refund your money.
What a load of crap quality
What a load of crap quality, bought off Facebook, only worn once. Very nice when I picked them up. 2 wears later. Sole fell off!
Faulty walking boots
Unfortunately my son’s walking boots fell apart yesterday after two uses. I took them back to Go Outdoors, where I purchased them. They said the glue deteriorates in contact with mud and water and they can’t refund or fix them. Very disappointed, I have never thought of walking boots as disposable as I’ve had mine for 30 years and treat them regularly with wax.
Bought Buxton walking boots from…
Bought Buxton walking boots from Millets on 5 July 2023. I wanted a light weight boot for walking country lanes where I live in Cornwall. Today, 13th March 2024, the sole and heel on the left boot have detached from the upper. They have never been waterproof, even with fabric waterproofing. I’ve been to their website but they do not have a facility to point this out to them. Also, my Granddaughter threw hers away because she couldn’t waterproof them. My brother had the same problem with his. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. Utter rubbish. I shall be taking them back to Millets, with the receipt.

Just awful...Peter Storm Snowden 2 walking boots.
Stitching to rear of both boots failed after just 4 short hikes, causing ny teenage son ankle issues.
Bought feom Go outdoors store who were particularly unhelpful and would not refund only store credit. Go outdoors customer care phone line equally useless and said return to store.
Will not be buying Peter Storm or Go outdoors products again.
