900 Series Staywell® Cat door
Got the PetSafe series 900 magnetic cat door.
After completion of the installation we noticed that extension tunnels did not come with the product.
Their website offers series 900 extension tunnels, but the description states:"Not compatible with the 900 Series Staywell® Classic Magnetic 4-Way Locking Cat Flap."
No other fitting extension tunnels are available.
We now have an uncovered hole in our door with a risk for water damage cause nothing fitting is available.
What a dissapointment
What a dissapointment . Our rescue cat is very anxious about going outside so the microchip cat flap seemed a good idea so that she can get backnin easily. With new batteries she was locked out within 4 weeks. We contacted oetsafe who basically shrugged there shoulders suggesting we take the whole flap back out of the door to test it. New batteries and 5 weeks later she was stuck outside again. Rubbish product
Auto-Cleaning Litter Box
I don’t write reviews often, but I can’t say enough about Petsafe! We bought a Petsafe self-cleaning litter box which required a disposable tray. We had issues with it from the start because the feces was just collecting on the rake that scoops the poop. I had an entertaining conversation about cat poop with one of the Petsafe reps and was able to get right in without hold time. The rep offered to send me out a new tray of litter free of charge and suggested the litter that came with the unit might have been old and less effective. After trying the new tray, we still had the same issues and I tried calling again. I spoke with another rep who was just as pleasant. I told her that the first guy had suggested as a next resort that I try an upgraded or higher model and I could pay the difference. I told her that I was interested in this offer if it was still available. Not only was it still available, but they sent me the new unit immediately. The new unit has worked great and was what we needed to fit our needs without having those same issues. This company has been one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in quite some time and is a level of customer service you don’t see anymore these days. I highly recommend these guys!

No tracking just message saying delivered but it was not delivered. Emailed them. No reply. Emailed again couple of days later still no reply. AVOID these....

I emailed Petsafe as my old cat flap had broken and I wasn’t sure which replacement to buy that would fit. They replied very quickly, identified the model and advised me which updated version would fit.
They use my money not making refund
I ordered car booster seat November 21, didn’t get it, UPS answered that it has been lost. I asked for refund on December 5. Still no refund.

Absolutely a waste of time on their product assistance. GPS collar is trash. Had warranty replacement and continued to fail. Tech help only knows how to send new products out not actually help! Avoid this company and their products.
My PetSafe cat flat stopped recognising the chip
My PetSafe cat flat stopped recognising my cats chip and allowed a local cat in, which upset my two. I contacted customer care and spoke to Franz initially who advised steps to take to try and sort the problem. Unfortunately this didn't work so the next day I contacted them again and spoke to Sylvester, who after reading Franz's notes was perfectly aware of the problem. He arranged for a new one to be sent out immediately. Such fantastic service and care from these guys. When it's your kids or pets it's traumatic and they saved the day.
Don't but petsafe products
I bought a dog door for my sliding doors about a year ago and the springs which adjust the upper part of the door broke after 3 months. It was outside the warranty so I figured a way to repair it. I bought another one 2 months ago, I know stupid, and the springs broke again. This time I called to get a replacement since there is an obvious design flaw and was told I could get 20% off a replacement. So they expect me to throw the one I have away and then give them more money for a replacement that will likely break. Absolute terrible customer service. Don't buy from petsafe.
Absolute Waste of money, need refund!
Purchased the Petsafe ultrasonic bark collar, it absolutely does not work in the slightest.
It is the most ineffective piece of equipment I have wasted money on.
Do not bother trying it.
I bought the Smart Feed Automatic Dog…
I purchased a Smart Feed Automatic Dog and Cat Feeder, motor failed just after warranty period.
Update: while I remain concerned about the lifespan of the motor in this device, the product support team have exceeded my expectations in dealing with my problem.
Otherwise, I am happy with the product and hope to use it for many years to come.
I love ScoopFree Litter Box
I love the PetSafe ScoopFree Litter Trays because I have no awful "cat smells" in my home, no sore back from constantly cleaning up after puss, and a pleased cat with a permanently clean Litter Tray. What more could a pampered puss want? Trays only need to be replaced every 3-4 weeks for one cat and the cost is quite acceptable.
Terrible product and customer service
Terrible. Bought a cat flap, realised that the screw holes are 2mm from the flap hole. How would that work? I asked them and they said ‘didn’t you measure it?’. Awful product and customer service. Don’t bother buying from them, just pay slightly more for a better brand.
Ssscat deterrent - avoid
We have purchased around 7 or 8 of the Ssscat deterrents and the old models consistently failed over a short period of time… bearing in mind they are around £60 each this is a huge outlay… Petsafe have in all fairness replaced where we complained but have recently updated and replaced our old models with the new model to what I can only describe as hugely inferior to the original… They do not work half of the time and when they do the spray so much liquid it saturates whatever it comes into contact with…

Petsafe doesn’t stand behind their products
We have had a Petsafe in ground fence for 10yrs, 2yrs ago we had lightening hit our dog fence and ruin it, so we purchased another one and we were talked into a surge protector because “it would keep it from happening again, and it was guaranteed” well last week we had another lightning strike and blew the surge protector out of the wall! We called Petsafe and got a “bummer” type response and that we needed to spend another $120 because it wasn’t covered.
All round awful experience
Awful service and customer care. Amazingly in July 2024 these people are still blaming BREXIT for their poor service and lack of communication(come on, the laws changed 4 years ago!)
My experience: ordered on what looked like a UK website, in English and in £. On 17/6/24 Advised 7 - 10 days for delivery. A week later on 24/6/24 got another email saying will be delivered in 10 - 14 days. At no point before ordering is it stated that this item is coming from Holland and will have such uncertain delivery.
Cust services advised me on phone to buy from local shop and return original. Today I tried to return and because they want it back in Holland, the total postage costs will pretty much equal the cost if the item (£25).
Deceptive in that they do not clarify this is from out of UK and comes with strings attached to returns, and has a prohibitively high cost of return.
I won't buy Petsafe again - terrible service.

Great customer service experience
Had a really great experience with PetSafe customer support. Part of my ScoopFree litterbox broke, and when I couldn't find the replacement part online, I called the support line. The rep (Miles) was extremely kind and helpful, and he even took the time to ask me about my pets. They ended up helping me identify the correct part and shipped me a replacement free of charge! Excellent experience and I would recommend calling if you have any issues with their products.
Why can't they sell replacement ceramic fountain parts?
Got the ceramic cat fountain. Despite taking care while washing it, within two years the bowl developed a crack. I emailed them to ask if I could order a replacement, got told "unfortunately any components made of ceramic are not available as spare parts." So the fountain is going to end up in landfill because they don't think ceramic parts might get damaged and need replacing. They offered me a discount to buy a replacement, but the prices on their website are so high compared to other retailers that I'd have saved £2, and why would I want another of the same fountain now I know I can't get replacement parts.
