Payment options. I like a paper statement even though I pay be automatic draft.
The system is seamless for me. I enjoy both the app and website. Both make it easy for me to review my account, documents and to pay my bill.
Very easy to call and make my monthly payment none of the phone garbage a lot of companies put on there phone before you can do what you called for. Keep up the good work
Good website and excellent customer care and licensed personnel.
My mortgage got sold to this group and I had nothing but challenges one after another. For example, PMI which was something that explicitly was discussed of which the prior mortgage company stated it will not be included.. Well, gets sold to Onity and the PMI starts.. Then I paid close to 40k in 9/2026 to get the the mortgage to be under 80% cap which they stated would then remove the PMI.. Next month, nope and now they asked me to go through BPO and waited another month. They are constantly milking me out of paying my principal for other fees and charges.. Respond is slow and I have to overcome the misinformation or communication to still be paying the PMI.. The whole point of me paying over 20% of the original mortgage (and yes, principal and not total) is to remove but they make it challenging to remove it. I do not need a BPO when the mortgage is less than 2 months old. I never had this issue with other mortgage companies. Nothing but poor experience, no delivery of result, and just giving wrong information.
[Update to the reply] Onity .. I have done that already 3 times and we are still in this impasse... So calling did not solve the problem. I asked you to remove the PMI as my mortgage with down payment plus loan payments with principals had passed the 20% threshold.. I did not want Onity as my mortgage company but I am forced into this relationship with different terms and conditions.. I am looking to just sell my stocks to pay this mortgage off and get rid of your organization.. For a customer in less than 2 months, having to deal with multiple issues where I do my due diligence to be placed into predicaments that your guidance failed to address.. Well, makes it more asinine... This is POST trying to be amicable to address the issue already.

Their customer service is terrible. Only get a call center when you call to take care of a problem. You have to ask for a supervisor before they will do anything to actually help.

Unity has been very helpful when we got behind in payments. Very polite and knowledgeable.

There should be a -star scale. If I could turn back time, we would have gone to another mortgage company when it was still PHH. Onity is a very condescending, disrespectful, and apathetic company. I applied for mortgage assistance due to financial hardship. When we purchased this house in 2010, I was an IT Tech and hubby was a full time building manager. We were making more than enough to pay the mortgage and have paid it since. Then in 2022, I became disabled and didn't receive disability until 2024. Hubby was let go of his job as a full time Director of Security in February 2026. When they approved our request for payment assistance I was happy until I saw the repayment plan. We were only behind 2 months, then we paid 1. Our payment was $930, and we needed short term assistance or lower the monthly payment around $750. Their solution was for us to start paying $1392 per month!!! Going from 90-110k yearly to under 55k is a huge hit! PLEASE, SOMEONE, MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE! I told these disgusting people, if we needed help with $930, HOW THE HECK IS $1392 going to HELP us!?!?! They kept trying to tell me how much money we have when they never asked us what bills we have. They tried to tell ME how much money we have for bills!!! I have never been more disgusted and irate with any big company as I am with Onity. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY HAVE ZERO INTEGRITY!!! RUN FAST AWAY FROM THEM!

Mortgage company lacks communication. It is not very technologically advanced. Can’t even take split payments and my credit score will be forever ruined because of them.

Never finance through this company. I keep having recurring billing problems with Onity where they claim that I have not made payments, yet my bank records show that I have clearly made every monthly payment. Now they claim that I am 3 months past due whereas my bank records show clearly that I am not. They sent me letters saying that they were returning my payments, yet that payment is not credited back to my banking account. They are threatening me with foreclosure. This is criminal and amounts to highway robbery. I am contesting all these actions which I had to do before. I want to get as far away from Onity bandits as I can, and plan to refi my house with a reputable lender. Steer clear from Onity.

Alan Pires is our loan officer. The guy was absolutely amazing at getting all the paperwork we needed submitted so that we could win our home in a close bidding situation. The Best! Bruce and Gail Fox

Onity (formerly PHH Mortgage) consistently offers the worst customer service I've ever seen. I would prefer to wait in the DMV for a full 8 hours then ever have to interact with this company. They have failed to pay my homeowner's policy and then demanded I buy their insurance which is much higher. Even upon submitting proof of insurance and proof of payment, they have then sent payment to an already paid policy. This creates more work for me, and more work for the insurance company. Onity has clankers operate most of their processes and then hires humans who are unable to help solve any problems with the system and really can only say "I apologize" or "I understand why this is frustrating." I hope Onity mortgage sells my mortgage ASAP and then goes under.

When you need to actually speak to someone it is very difficult to find a live person.
I also see that they may be charging late fees in a way that seem a little suspect. As long as your payment is made by 12 am on the due date and any allowable grace period, i.e. due on the 1st but late on the 17th. Payments made on the 16th before 12 am are randomly assessed late fees. Even if you make that payment at 10:30 PM on the 16th, you still made the payment deadline. However, they use their posting date as the official payment date. These are not standard practices in the mortgage world.
