A bad job, a dud guarantee
Ten months ago I called Pimlico in to fix a leaking toilet. Exactly the same problem has recurred, so … it was a botch job. They say another leakage (in exactly the same place) was not covered by the 12 month guarantee!?!
I’ve now had to pay as much again to get the fix done properly, namely replace the macerater, which Pimlico had said they were doing in the first place.
Rating: unreliable and overpriced.

Joe attended promptly, assessed the issue with the cistern, and was able to locate the relevant part locally. He remained friendly and patient despite me being very anxious about faulty WC. I would highly recommend Joe and Pimlico’s.

The workmen were excellent, nice, professional, knew what they were doing (at least that is what we think as laypeople). However the job was booked in and cancelled twice on us last minute. Craig arrived on time having kept me updated on his eta. He quickly identified both the source and cause of the leak from my sink. He rectified this quickly and efficiently, and kept me fully informed throughout. Everything was replaced in the cupboard and the kitchen left immaculate. A thoroughly professional job.

Broken toilet - Karl was excellent
Karl was incredibly patient and explained everything in laymans terms when my toilet was broken/not flushing. He could tell i was panicked after just moving into a new property about a potentially significant cost to do this repair (given intricate tiling in the bathroom), but he fixed everything super quickly and was professional throughout!

Especially good comms - Emergency Plumber in London
They are one of the major "brand names" in home services, so of course you pay a premium for that. But I was very happy with their emergency plumber service. Dave L came out about an hour after I called late on a Saturday night to resolve a leak from an invented cylinder, with excellent comms before, during and after the job.

Excellent communication from the engineer
The engineer was very clear and helpful at every interaction: when explaining what was needed and why, before his arrival and was prompt, and what further information was needed to fulfil the larger project. As someone who really doesn't understand much about radiators and boilers, this was very much appreciated.
