The online Trainer course is a dud

The online Trainer course is a dud, I don’t recommend. It’s pretty much impossible to get as many volunteers as they require to pretend to be students to complete the homework. I gave up. Waste of money.

TAE40122 Exactly what it promises — no fluff, no surprises

I completed Pinnacle Safety and Training’s fast-track Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and had an excellent experience.

Before the course even started, Pinnacle did something many providers don’t: they prepared me properly. They checked my tech skills, my availability, my motivation, and—crucially—my understanding of what I was signing up for. They were very clear that this is a full one-year Cert IV condensed into an intense two-week delivery. No sugar-coating, no surprises.

I come from an academic and professional background and was deliberately looking for a way to bridge into VET delivery. I also spoke to a competitor about their “fast track” option, which in reality was going to take a minimum of four months. Pinnacle’s model—two weeks of immersive delivery followed by completion of the remaining assessment work—was exactly what I needed. In my case, that meant two intense weeks plus about another month to complete additional tasks (including a Christmas break), which was completely transparent from the outset.

I approached the course by clearing my schedule, putting everything non-essential on hold, and fully committing to the two weeks. Because Pinnacle had set expectations properly, the workload and pace were exactly what I expected. This is not a casual or low-effort course—it’s designed for motivated, organised adults who are prepared to work hard to fast-track a nationally recognised qualification.

I noticed some negative reviews before enrolling, and in hindsight many of them seem to come from people who weren’t suited to this style of delivery. If you need slow, highly scaffolded training, this probably isn’t for you. But if you’re a professional, academic, or career-changer who wants to move quickly into VET, Pinnacle’s model is outstanding.

Writing this review on Trust Pilot is actually me quietly closing a loop that started months ago when I was nervously scrolling reviews wondering who to believe. I've written this review specifically for others like me who need to get to the place of, “Oh… this makes sense.”

The trainer in Perth, Fiona Noble, was excellent, and the overall support—from pre-course preparation through to delivery—was strong and professional.

I’ve already recommended Pinnacle’s Cert IV to numerous academic colleagues who are looking to understand and work within the VET system, which is increasingly where the Australian workforce is headed—even for people with degrees.

Five stars from me. I’d do this course again in a heartbeat.
