Thanks for an amazing day with plenty of interesting cars on show. The awards ceremony was a bit lack lustre and could have been better. A high percentage of winners of awards had already left the e... See more

Loads and loads of Minis
It was great to take our mini back to its birthplace. As well as the museum there were lots and lots of Minis, from a stretch mini to one with following doors!
Food and breakfast was available too, I had the breakfast bum which was lovely although the queue for the coffee was slow.
A great experience all told and great organisation on the day too from the events team.
A great collection of show cars

Mixed views
Mixed views. The process and people I dealt with were pleasant and helpful. The fees imo are rather high considering photos are paid separately. Great listing and platform with plenty of exposure but stupid comments by other bidders in the last 30 mins harmed the sale price (although that was out of the control of pistonheads tbf)
Small confusion over actual sale price (whether it included buyer fees or no) and a few days delay in passing the buyers details to me which prevented a timely collection.

Selling my Boxster through the Pistonheads auction was very efficient and hassle free.
Pre-purchase inspection request triggers Attitude!
Rang regarding a seemingly lovely vehicle on face value, after all, this is the internet. Seller was offended when I asked to send a local pre purchase inspection company to check out the vehicle as I'm over 3 hours away from sellers location. Received attitude from then on. Take from this what you will.
Easy contact and good advice
Easy contact and good advice. Photographer was great and I was very pleased with the images. Couldn’t reply to questions myself but managed to do it through the agent. And I sold the car for what I was expecting.

I bought a Mercedes from this garage with a one month warranty which doesn't exist. The next day I had to go to my mechanic because the car had an engine problem, I do not recommend this garage to anyone.

The process of submitting the car and…
The process of submitting the car and getting photos and videos with the comprehensive description was very easy. The auction attracted lots of interest and was easy to follow until the final sale.
My only quibble is that Pistonheads state the fee is paid by the buyer but if it is deducted from the auction final price reached so it is the seller who is out of pocket.

Absolutely terrible experience
Absolutely terrible experience. I made the effort to visit this dealership and it was a complete waste of time.
The location is extremely remote and hard to access. When I arrived, the staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly had no interest in helping customers. There was zero professionalism or basic courtesy.
Even worse, the vehicles were in a very poor condition — dirty and not prepared at all for viewing, which is unacceptable for any dealership.
This place seriously lacks basic customer service standards. I would strongly advise others to avoid it and not waste their time.

Excellent service and bespoke advice throughout the auction process to help me sell my Lotus Elise. The professional photographer came out to my property to record the car. Very friendly and efficient.
Simple questionnaire to complete about the car and then Piston Heads team create the advert and enter the car in the auction. The car sold straight away for a good price and the buyer came out to collect it soon after. The whole process was very smooth and took only 3weeks to complete. In my opinion selling via auction is vastly preferable and less dis to having to deal with lots of speculative potential buyers.
I would heartily recommend Puston Heads to anyone looking to sell a sports car. Best option all round.
Thanks!
