I ordered online two separate appliances and only rec'd one, yet was charged for both
Nov.2008 I ordered online and paid for with a credit card, two separate electronic air cleaner/purifiers. Not long after I rec'd one of the units shipped UPS, but not the second one. I have tried on an average of at least once a month since then to get this resolved but to no avail. I've called their toll free number dozens of times, trying to speak with a person and was omly able to talk to one girl a few weeks after I received the first package and when she looked it up she said it was not on hand in inventory and was back ordered. Since then I've only rec'd a few e-mail responses from them, but they only provide me with the ability to track the order and the UPS shipment, which I've done online many times. No one writing or even calling to say that they will resolve this and since Jan.1st, 2009 a pre-recorded message answers the phone and whatever number you pick, the call goes to one single mailbox, and it is always full.
I've called directory assistance to see where they were located and if there was a local number I could dial from where I live out of state. They are supposed to be located in Edison, NJ at 351 Mill rd, in the greater Trenton NJ area. No sucess in getting a local phone number, the operator says they don't exist, and of course you cannot get through to them on the toll free number.
I'm filing this complaint with the BBB in Trenton, NJ. I'm also filing a complaint with the attorney generals office, and next I'll head for a TV Network that will air my story. Not to defame the business but this is my attempt to get someone else to help me either get my money back for the un-shipped unit and/or have shipped exactly what I ordered. According to the UPS Cust. Service agent the problem may stem from the fact that the same UPS Tracking number was assigned to both units. This not an un-common practice in retail or even wholesale shipping ground or air or whatever. It provides them with a document record that the item(s) were shipped and rec'd on such and such date and that's that.
