Avoid Polimoda – A Disappointing, Deceptive Experience!

Polimoda claims to be a diverse and international fashion school, but that’s all a lie. The reality is that it’s all about the “Italian way” – all the teachers are Italian, and there’s no real diversity in the faculty. I thought I’d be learning from professionals worldwide, but instead, it was just the narrow Italian perspective.

There’s also a shocking lack of diversity among students, with barely any students of color. Scholarships are typically reserved for European students, and if you're an international student (Latino, Indian, Asian, or American), forget about it – you’ll be overlooked. The employment department is a joke. Foreign students barely get interviews (4 at most), while European students have 10-15 with major companies. When we ask about this disparity, they gaslight us and act clueless. They don’t do the bare minimum to help.

My program was a total disaster – disorganized and lacking substance. I spent 30k euros for practically no new knowledge or skills. Polimoda likes to call itself one of the best fashion schools in the world, but honestly, both of my colleges in Brazil were far better and way cheaper. This school reeks of European colonialism, trying to convince us they hold the knowledge when, in reality, they’re stuck in the past. Don’t waste your money here!
