Hate to be the first to review…

Hate to be the first to review Pollards, but after several visits and problems each time they do need my report.
On 5/25/2026 I made my umptenth visit to Pollards on Tidewater drive. In Norfolk, Va.
I have several comments to make based on several visits,, and the cumulative effect is why i decided to comment..
Ok so on Sunday 25 May.. inittially i ordered a BBQ dinner with mashed potatoes and Corn pudding. i was immediately told they were out of pudding.. ok no probelem so i changed the 2nd vegetable to cole slaw and then after waiting for them to cook it. I of course as i always do inspected the contents.. as historically they routinely leave stuff out and when i get home i am pissed.. So sure enough there was no puff.. and instead of waitress comment to the cook.. "Hey you left off the puff" she went to the puter and looked it up to see and sure enough then ordered the cook to make me a puff... maybe she is new and has no idea what should be include.. Now I find out they have to cook the puff so another 10 min.. and no one offered to place the meal under a hot light to keep it hot so it sat there getting cold while i patiently waited. Also not a soul said "Sorry" and again this is relatively minor but not when this stuff happens a lot it becomes a problem..
Which brings up another major problem as they can see that each time i separate the hot from cold so that the hot does not make thecold hot and the hot cold.. Once i made a formal suggestion that they as policy auto place cold stuff like cole slaw into a paper bag to separate the hot from the cold.. And i was told that had been sent to mgmt and they suggested they were not interested in taking on the extra cost of a separate paper bag to separate the hot and cold.. And the next time i came in.. my hot and cold was separated but i noticed that it was only me and no one else.. So i inquired did mgmt approve the bag for hot and cold.. And the waitress informed me that she was here when i made the compaint last time so she did it for me..I thanked her.. Now on the 25th of May no baggie so i once again moved the cold from the hot and placed it outside the hot box.. and that worked..
There have been other cases that have gone wrong over the years and from now on i plan to go to one of the other Pollard branches just to see if its this one are they all incompetent...
I see so many folks pick up tons of food and never check anything so I feel sorry for them but won't happen to me i have learned a hard cold lesson.. Check every box and you can be sure they won't check it and i am sure the new cooks really mess it up..
From this day on i will ask that the puff be included by name with 0 charge just so new cooks will know its supposed to be in the box...And the reason is the puff has been left out 3-4 times in last 6 months.. Enought is enough.
