Supplied length shorter than I expected and 6 month warranty implied?
I received a sample of the flooring after some considerable delay and it showed cracks on the underside. When I received my actual orders, it was unfortunately 2 inch short of 2m length... meaning there is an unfortunate gap at the end. I had expected it to be fairly easy to measure with 2 inch over a 2m length. If inaccuracies are expected in measurements, then maybe add a few inch (50mm!) for "good luck" and then it would have been sufficient for my needs.
In addition to the purchased length being short of my expectations, it was wound tightly causing it lays far from flat at the end.
Update December 2025: I have since advised that their products are supplied with a tolerance of ±5%. While I understand the reasoning, my original point remains — in this case, the negative tolerance impacted usability. A positive margin (+5%) would have been far more practical for my situation.
Also "...warrants that, at the time of delivery and for a period of six months thereafter, its products shall be of satisfactory quality in accordance with applicable legislation governing the sale of goods..." and these two points are given as the reason of being "unable to offer a refund or replacement materials"... I would expect that that is *addition* to statutory obligations for a consumer purchase... not a replacement.
Anyway, I guess that means I won't get any more assistance as my request was rejected with the 5% tolerance and the 6 month limit being given as reasons, as the burden of proof would be on me to prove I didn't damage it myself or cut off a length myself - but that can be difficult in practice to prove.
This review reflects my experience and is shared in good faith

Reply from Polymax
A real shambles to deal with!
Polymax have a good range of orings but they are certainly to be avoided if you can. Our latest order with them resulted in multiple transactions coming in and out of our account. They haven't been able to explain this to us, nor provide paperwork to match the transactions.
Excellent ServiceI could not have received a more…
I could not have received a more qualified and instructional service from your operative named Kieran. I am in my 86th year so not very technically minded. Kieran was so patient and helpful he guided me through the selection and ordering procedure so carefully to complete my small purchase. Kieran is a credit to your organisation. Thank you John Chipchase. My restoration of my Classic Jaguar XJ-S can now proceed.
Avoid at all costs
So I pitched up to have a set of AlloyGators fitted, a Chameleon front screen tint, and front side window tinting.
The Chameleon tint was so badly fitted even the owner was to embarrassed to ask for any money for it.
One day later, this morning it looks like a child has fitted bubblewrap to my windscreen with Custard.
On my journey home one of my wheels lost all air pressure, I was lucky the AA man knew the issue was the poorly fitted Gator and managed to fit it properly and the tyre is fine now.
The side window tinting will require me to get a new prescription at the opticians as it has blurred the windows so much it will need to come off.
No doubt the cocky reply is forthcoming, best thing they can do is refund my money in total, but that won't happen.
The place is like a poorly run car wash and I doubt the people who fit the items have had the training required.
Penny-pinching attitude
I ordered 100 tiny O-rings from this company. When the package arrived, it looked a bit short. So I counted them - 89. I got my wife to count them too - 89.
This seemed a bit mean. Why not err on the side of caution and give you a few extra, rather than a few less?
So I called them. Told them the order was 11 short. So they posted me another packet, containing - exactly 11 !! What a penny-pinching attitude!
Not recommended
Not recommended. Edges look like they were cut with a blunt knife leaving gaps in between, mats were different thicknesses leaving a trip hazard. I wish I had bought a better quality product. My points were moderated from their website and so mainly positive reviews are shown. Poor customer service as they didn’t resolve anything.
A company you must try.
Great company that supplied o-rings for a motorcycle fuel tank. The o-rings from the dealer was £13.67 each.
I got them from Polymax for just over £1, so I ordered several and some other stuff. I've never used this company before, but they will be the 1st place I will contact for any other o-rings etc that I might need.
I was expecting a lengthy delivery time as it is free once you spend £10, but delivery was quick also.
Not Start-up Friendly - Poor Communication
Polymax isn't start-up friendly. I can only assume that the customer service might have been better if I were ordering a larger qty. Poor communication on their end, meant that I was constantly having to call them for basic updates on my order and internal communication in regards to my order was poor between sales & accounts. I wouldn't recommend them if you require additional support or if it's your first time ordering these products, it'll start to feel like you're a bother. As a first time customer, I simply expected that anything discussed via email or phone would be carried out as agreed. Unfortunately this isn't the case, so I would be very reluctant to trust them with any future orders. When I brought this to the attention of an employee their default response was to deny, deflect and defer. No real attempt to deliver good customer service was made, even when presented with the evidence.

We almost didnt use this company as there was only one review on Trust Pilot! I am glad we did use Polymax. The service was outstanding - delivery arrived next day despite selecting 2 to 4 day delivery. Great product and service. Highly recommend
