Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service, citing issues with maintenance, repairs, and a general lack of responsiveness. The quality of products also raised concerns, with some experiencing problems with new vehicles and components. Reviewers frequently highlighted poor customer service, describing staff as unhelpful and difficult to engage with, leading to a frustrating overall experience. However, some people were satisfied with specific interactions, such as quick scratch repairs or lightbulb changes that were resolved efficiently and without charge. These instances suggest that while the majority faced considerable challenges, positive experiences with individual staff members or minor services occasionally occurred.

Porsche Safety Campaign

Two weeks ago, I contacted the Porsche main dealer to confirm whether the warning lights displayed on the dashboard of my Porsche Taycan were related to a computer issue or a sensor malfunction. The Porsche main dealer advised me to book a checkup and informed me that I needed to bring the car in because Porsche had initiated a campaign to inspect the high-voltage system and replace Cell B in the car—a matter of concern for Porsche. I was also told that Porsche would need to keep the car for a full day to complete these checks.

To my surprise, despite this being a safety recall, Porsche did not provide a courtesy vehicle for the duration of the inspection. My car is still under the Porsche guarantee, yet the main dealer's only offer was to call me a taxi. As a result, I ended up spending over £200 on taxi fares due to Porsche’s campaign. Additionally, I specifically requested that after completing the recall work, the dealership recharge the car, as I am a member of the Porsche Charging Service and needed the car fully charged to drive back home. However, I noticed that my request was completely ignored.

I find it unacceptable that a brand like Porsche treats its customers in this way. When my old BMW 520D had a recall outside the guaranty, BMW provided a courtesy car for the entire day. After this experience, I feel deeply dissatisfied with Porsche and now want to avoid dealing with this type of treatment in the future.

I bought a new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS…

I bought a new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS in November last year 2023. I've covered 1700 mile in the car since collection. On the 4th of November 2024 I was sent a letter instructing me not to drive the car as it was unsafe to do so. The problem is that the centre wheel nut can fail leading to the wheel falling off. After a visit from a Porsche technician to my house I learn that these wheel nuts (being only one of them securing each wheel on) have a failure point and always have had. I think this is pretty obvious if you think about it. If the nut is under tightened it could fall off and if over tightened could be over stretched and it could fall off. Porsche are actually blaming a manufacturing fault on the nut itself but I now have my doubts and don't feel at all safe ever driving this car again. In general the only time a wheel would be removed from your car would be in a tyre change or service situation, meaning the responsibility for ensuring your life is not lost from the detachment of your wheel on the road is essentially that of a stranger's without your supervision. Who would take responsibility for it or found responsible for it falling off? Bottom line is, Porsche or a tyre replacement centre wouldn't because of how they could hide behind doubt that someone else could have tampered with it.

It has seriously rattled me and now I don't think I could ever be confident of driving such a high performance car with one centre wheel nut holding the wheels on safely. I will now need to sell the car but sadly at a time I was not expecting to, thus costing me a huge amount of money because of it being quite possibly the most expensive time in a cars lifetime to do so. No one at Silverstone Porsche wants to know or compensate me because they are just a car garage running a business and they couldn't give a monkeys because money is money and business is business, typical motor trade. They have offered to buy it from me at an extortionately low price ( well what do you expect). Porsche GB are wanting to sweep the whole incident under the carpet as quickly as possible and are relying on a brand loyalty customer base not to complain (that seems to be working). The replacement parts for the faulty wheels nuts they don't have a date for the supply of yet. This in itself leaves me with a car that I can't sell because its not safe and a car I'm paying for that I cant drive. Its pretty disgusting don't you think. Just because you spend £170,000 does not entitle you to high levels customer loyalty from Porsche to encourage repeat business like it used to. You need the really big boys for that like Rolls Royce or Aston Martin.
Porsche, you really do need to look after your customers properly and much better than you currently do, as one day your loyal customer base may not be there to save you.

Wow!

Wow. 2 HV battery failures in 2 months. Heater recall, brake hose recall, major software update recall, regular 12v battery errors and a PCM that crashes every other day. I love the Taycan for its looks and driving experience, but just don’t trust the tech. V disappointed…..

After sale service is not what one…

After sale service is not what one would expect after spending £130k on a car. Porsche sent a letter about break issue recall and asking to book appointment. So I booked appointment for 23rd Oct on the app but couldn't make it so rebooked for 31st. Got a text to ring Porsche and when spoke with the representative she said can only do 23rd October or the next appointment will be in Feb 2025!! Then she said you can try another Porsche location, which I'm sure they wouldn't have suggested when I was placing the order with them.
While booking on the app it asks if you would like a courtesy car, which I checked but upon call just to confirm, was informed that they don't have any courtesy cars!! Porsche has manufactured a car with fault, which they have got a recall on and can't provide a courtesy car in my view is appalling!!
Definitely will neither recommend Porsche to anyone nor the Porsche Nottingham centre.

The Taycan is a rattlebox

The Taycan is a rattlebox. I've had it a month and 2 door panels have already had to be removed & fixed by the dealer due to creaks & rattles. Now I have to wait 2 months for Porsche to fix the third door that creaks. Car still under warranty

Absolutely atrocious customer service

Absolutely atrocious customer service.
Sales are very responsive, but most of what we were told before buying our car was false, and everything thereafter is awful.
We bought a £105k car and they just don't respond to ongoing issues.
I've been informed that the person I'm speaking to does not have an escalation point.
I can't outline all of the issues in this review but they're by far the worst company I've ever dealt with, riding on the coat tails of a historically prestigious brand.
I will never buy another Porsche and I'd recommend anyone to avoid them at all costs.
It's complete unsurprising that they have such bad customer reviews on Trust Pilot.
I would not be surprised if there was a class action before too long.

Porsche Ferndown (Dorset) awful!

Porsche Ferndown. Avoid! 5 calls to them with promised call backs. I haven’t had one call back because presumably, replacement of a lost locking wheel nut is low on there priority list and they frankly can’t be bothered to call me back. If I was buying a £200k car I am sure they would have called back by now. I’ve lost all faith in Porche, I will never purchase another Porsche again and I will go to another Porsche dealer for any servicing until I sell my current car.

Porsche UK

Porsche UK - numerous sites and dealers. My experience of buying my first Porsche in the UK has been horrendous. From my original manufacturing slot being given to someone else 1 month before my car was due to be delivered to my brand new Taycan Turbo being delivered with a damaged front splitter, scratched paintwork and a cracked roof to having to wait 4 months for an appointment to have two safety recalls fixed I am totally fed up and done with Porsche. As soon as my car is due for changing I will be moving away Fromm Porsche and never buying one again.

Porsche Solihull Main Dealer

On 19/9/24 Porsche, in Shirley, took my 911 turbo 991, to find a fault on the spoiler system. The spoilers worked whilst stationary, but failed at speed. After 7 days, I received a notice from one of my tracking systems, showing my car being driven 30 miles away from the dealership. It was still heading south when I called them, and suggested a 60 mile round trip is not a test drive, and to return it back to base. Faith now lost, I wanted my car back. Once home, I noticed the spoilers were no longer working, even when stationary. I also noticed, the tracker system inside the car had been unplugged, (why?) The manger assured me, if I returned the car, they would put it back to it's original fault state. So Today,I returned it to them and waited. They assured me it was back as before, I drove home to find the front spoiler now does not work at all. To be clear, Front of house staff were perfect, the tech staff are letting them down badly. So now, after their techs working for one week, it has an extra 60 miles on the clock, not counting the two wasted, return journeys, and a bigger fault than when it got there. You have been warned!!

After reading many comments

After reading many comments, I realized that it is common for Porsche Centre Sydney South dealer to order the wrong car. When I was notified to pick up the car (with the order number and vin) after waiting for six months, I was told: Sorry, your car has never been manufactured. I thought it was an isolated case, but after I found that it is the normal. This team can repeatedly make mistakes after you ordering. Hahaha, I didn't expect that this car dealership has a function to test your luck. If you can pick up the right order, you are lucky. If you can't, It's your bad luck and nothing to do with them. No wonder the sales manager Anthony Jones handled these matter so confidently and easily. How strong must he be to lead a team with so many mistakes and omissions in orders。His attitude told me that they had ordered the wrong car because that it was just your bad luck and not their fault.

Porsche San Francisco Service center overcharging arbitrarily inflated prices

Overpriced, cringe service center at Porsche San Francisco

The cost estimates are consistently inflated, compared to quotes from other local Porsche Service Centers, and overcharging double the price of independent service centers in the area for the exact same work.

It feels like they are more interested in making a quick buck than providing honest service.

Porsche West London

The worst Porsche service centre. Non responsive and arrogant staff. I had my appointment booked in advance (2 months - booked in May due in July) it was cancelled the day before. Was told I would be contacted to have it rescheduled and never heard back. We are now in September. Manage to speak to the receptionist today and was told I would get a call back to sort out my issue and no call back! oh and my Taycan has a recall on the battery. POOR service from Porsche!

Accessory Backpack

Ordered an accessory backpack, recieved a order confirmation 3 days later advising me my order is not binding along with a link to track my order. Still awaiting my order and it states 3-6 days for shipping, not had a shipping notification nothing, emailed twice asking for an update and zero reply. Really appauling: would expect better from such a large reputable brand.

Porsche and their dealers I believe…

Porsche and their dealers I believe will get some Karma coming their way in the form of reduced demand. That is the only way for them to get their heads out of there A and be a good company. I am a repeat customer and have wanted to purchase a 911 Targa 4S and am on two dealers waitlist with a $2,500 deposit on one and a $5K deposit on the other since 2022. In 2024 I had to redo my configuration, and the same car went up in price by more than $7K with no added value. After thinking about it and almost getting off the list I chose to stay on it and continue to wait. For 2025 I have learned Porsche decided to just not make a Targa 4S and have given no additional information. While I thought I was getting close and in fact I was 2nd on one list, I am in fact delayed at least another year until they decide to make a 4S Targa or for that matter any S's. Everybody on lists across the world for years are just stuck with the middle finger up from Porsche to their most loyal of customers. My recommendation for anybody that has yet to purchase a Porsche is do not put yourself in this strange world were a dealer and a car manufacturer will make you feel unappreciated when you want to buy a $195K car from them because you haven't purchased all of these other cars. It's not across all but the Porsche salespeople are the worst they act as if they own the $195K cars and that you're lucky to be on their list. Great cars but terrible customer service.

Shambolic

In the last couple of months I’ve had both of my 911s serviced/ assessed at Porsche Exeter and on both occasions I was overcharged, the brief was not followed despite them having received emailed instructions prior to receipt of the cars. On one they’ve had the key fob for two months and it still returned in a non working condition. An inability/ reluctance to return calls or communicate, lack of technical knowledge and , surprisingly, a non comprehension of the difference in an annual/ intermediate service, “winging it” seems to be a repeated response. The manager’s response which ignores the issues and attempts to traduce the customer is beyond reprehensible. I’ll get my cars serviced in alternative locations now. Btw, last time I didn’t receive an invoice for approval, just a phone call, pay up because we’re ready to return your car. Pay with credit card to preserve your section 75 rights
