We purchaseExtremely Frustrating Experience — Not Recommendedd this software with the…

We purchased this software with the hope of improving our workflow, but instead it has caused major delays and stress. After activating it, we couldn’t even use it without waiting hours for support to fix access issues. When it finally worked for a short time, our access was blocked again — right in the middle of our production schedule.
We repeatedly had to contact support just to receive a token so we could continue working. This back-and-forth has caused huge gaps in our production timeline and completely removed the reliability we expected when we paid for this product. Instead of helping our studio, it disrupted our work.
A product is only as good as its accessibility — and if you can’t use it when you need it, what’s the point? Very disappointing experience so far.

I purchased PortraitPro about 8 years ago. Unfortunately, with every OS update, I have to contact the company to reactivate the software. In the past few instances (emails and responses are available), instead of solving the problem, they have arrogantly suggested that I buy a new version.

Most recently, in what they likely thought was a “kind gesture,” they offered me a mere 15% discount. How can a company be so uncommitted to its customers that, instead of resolving an issue, it only focuses on reselling?

I even received an email phrased as if it were generous: “We cannot give you the software for free, but we can offer you a 15% discount. You have had it for 8 years, so you’ve certainly used it a lot.”

Why should customer service treat paying, loyal users this way? This is unacceptable and disappointing.

It's a great product...if you can use it!

I've used this product for years and it's been very good. Recently they "upgraded" the app and now sometimes when you load it, it asks you to reactivate, which requires you to go find your activation key and enter it in again. Sometimes it works and sometimes it tells you that that key has already been activated and I can't use the app. This has happened to me at least 10 times since October of last year.

If it happens on a Friday, good luck because their support (based in the UK I believe) is not working on the weekends so you can't use the product until Monday morning, that is if they respond.

According to their support team, the only solutions are to 1) email them and wait for them to send you a new activation key OR or 2) they recommend buying an upgrade to the app which fixes the problem!! I buy application upgrades for the new functionality they provide. I don't buy upgrades to fix THEIR bugs!!

This is unbelievably bad support!

**Review of Portrait Pro Max 24

**Review of Portrait Pro Max 24: Total disappointment!**

I purchased Portrait Pro Max 24 with high expectations, as it was advertised as a professional photo editing software. Unfortunately, the reality has been completely different. After paying an exorbitant price for the license, I’m left dealing with ridiculous and unjustifiable issues.

The biggest problem? Every time I update my Mac or make any changes to my system, the software **requires me to reactivate the license**. And it’s not a simple process: I have to go through countless steps and contact support (which is slow and responds with generic answers), as if I hadn’t already paid! It’s unacceptable for such an expensive product to have such an intrusive and poorly designed licensing system.

I feel treated like a potential thief, not a paying customer who invested in a premium product. This gives the impression of a company more interested in squeezing money from customers than delivering a functional product.

I strongly advise against purchasing this software. If you’re looking for reliable tools, look elsewhere—this is a nightmare disguised as professional software.

Bought an upgrade from 17 to 22, but the site prevents me from downloading.
So I've paid money for nothing.

Great software

Great software! Really good intelligent editing software if you are a professional photographer looking to speed up workflow. Customer support are helpful and there are even tutorials to help you get setup if you are stuck.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME....

I have used Portrait pro for years and purchased the 19 version around 2 years ago. Hadn't used it for sometime as a result of the pandemic, however now back to editing and the program is more trouble than its worth. Female faces register as males and vice-vera.
It has also started to crash unexpectedly! All since the new version has been released??? Now call me a sceptic, but I do find this a little coincidental! Customer service have not helped me at all and told me to simply change face recognition back to female or male if this happens. This is fine, except this adds a good 5 seconds onto each process and I edit hundreds of photos!

Thumbs Up…

I did have a bad experience with the product and I was initially rather annoyed with the difficulty contacting support but this soon changed and the company bent over backwards to solve the problem.
I use PortraitPro Studio 19 and PortraitPro Body 3.
Both products are excellent and save me hours of editing time. Like all software, it pays to learn how to use it properly but once you have the rewards are considerable.

Disastrous support

Disastrous support, i had to pay twice for a upgrade that didn't work, then they activated the software and didn't refund me my second payment because they don't seem to understand i paid twice.

I was left with no choice but to open a PayPal case for the transaction they didn't refund so they then proceeded to deactivate my software.

I am not sure about the legality of that action, but I will be perusing it further.

The software is useful but as a company they are terrible and i can only recommend you stay away

Useful software but awful user experience, sketchy company!

Useful software, but they charge for EVERY update. I bought PortraitPro v.15 last year and they are already offering PortraitPro v18 with very minor upgrades and flaws that persist from early versions!!!

I guess they're in for the money! Also, their Facebook page has rating disabled and I suspect them to erase bad comments.
