All in the party had a good time

Good weather, was a bonus for our yearly family weekend break. Now 13 in total, all in our party had a superb time. The children who range in age from 17-5 had plenty to do at all times and we all enjoyed the vey good food and all inclusive drinks. Already booked for next year.

Potters Five Lakes

We visit Potters Five Lakes at least twice in a year, every aspect is first class. We have stayed both in the central hotel and one of the garden rooms in the village, both extremely comfortable and well appointed to include a safe, TV, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Whenever I am recommending to friends I describe the food as restaurant quality, the entertainment as West End quality and the staff are all fantastic, nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile. As for the all inclusive drinks system, it's brilliant, no struggling at a bar to get served, you take your turn to give your table number and drinks order to a member of staff with a tablet, within a very short time your drinks, coffee or tea is brought to your table. There is always something to do if you wish to take part or you can just relax and read if you wish.
My only gripe is that the three night weekend always ends too quickly 😊

Had a great 4 day break

Had a great 4 day break. Could not fault the food, drinks and activities but the shows were fantastic. Village room was okay apart from the toilet being wedged in the corner between two walls and heating rad also step from patio too high (design faults) not sure if legal ?

We had a fabulous three night weekend…

We had a fabulous three night weekend break at Five Lakes Resort. This was our second visit to this resort and we will go back. The rooms in The Village are lovely and spacious and ours had a gorgeous view overlooking the golf course. All the activities are great, the only slight downside was that the archery and rifles had to be booked and there weren’t enough times available and long queues trying to book them. That said there were lots of other sports and activities to do. The evening entertainment was absolutely first class West End quality. We will definitely be returning.

This was our second time to Potter at…

This was our second time to Potter at Five Lakes. The first was in August and we enjoyed the whole experience so much that we booked to come New Year the following year. After a couple of months we decided to book for May and celebrate a birthday.
I tried the golf course as I'm trying to talk some others to come along and I wasn't disappointed. I joined a member and he is most impressed with what the Potter family is doing. They are investing in the course and NOT doing golf breaks, which is good news as that can bring in the wrong crowd.
The resort itself was clean, well maintained and the staff polite and friendly. We stayed in the 'village' where our room was spacious, clean and views over the fields. We had one issue, the toilet decided to stop flushing, I went to the reception, even though this was at 5 in the afternoon, by the time we came back to our room after the evening show the toilet was working again.
The food is at set times but due to the 3 restaurants you are not crowded or rushed. the food itself is what I would call good and homely. The breakfasts have lots of choices, the lunch has hot meals but the salad bar is excellent, the evening meals always have a roast or Asian style self service then there are the options that are brought to you. If you can decide have a dish that's served you then nip up and grab a roast spud or a bit of curry, you'll be surprised how well some combinations work.
The entertainment and activities seem to be never ending, you have to plan what you want but we managed to do most things, everything we planned and a few more. The evening entertainment is fantastic, the work the team do is amazing and you leave the theatre buzzing. The last night of your stay is the hardest as you know good things must come to an end.
There are aspects of Potters that some people won't like, everyone has different tastes, but if you want a break where you can do as much or as little as you like, enjoy meals that won't leave you starved, have drinks throughout the day where you don't have to dig your wallet out, meet new friends and I include the staff, you will get to know each other and have a laugh during your stay, give Potters a go.
We are going back for New Year and that is something we are really looking forward to and we are taking my parents who go to Potters opposition so I'm looking to their thoughts.

Potters …. A happy haven and brilliant resort

We’ve been going to Potters for over 40 years. Seen many changes in that time, all positive.
All of the staff are an absolute asset and should be used as an exemplary example of customer service.
Now an all inclusive resort. The value is amazing (compared to other well known holiday resorts).
There’s so many activities to choose from for all ages.
The shows are first class, the talent amazing.
The food is always fresh with so many choices.
The varied accommodation is always clean and comfortable.
It’s now a safe haven for my grandchildren and we will continue many happy years at Potters.

Called today, felt the sing song voice not necessary.
Your online booking is limited so you have to speak to a patronising person!!
Never had any issues but potters maybe not giving the training to the standard they have in the past!!

Family 40th birthday weekend

All the staff to numerous to mention were happy in their work and happy to help with anything needed.
The various activities we participated in were well organised.
The 9 hole pitch and put was greatly improved a few greens still need slight attention.
The evening entertainment was good as always and it was good to be allowed to dance in the main theatre after the show.
One slight negative was the decrease in available table tennis tables perhaps a few could be placed outside under a shelter ?

Friendly staff and value for money

Firstly the staff can’t do enough for you and are very helpful. Also they are very hardworking and always cleaning.
We are actually new to Potters having previously frequented another adult only holiday venue. We’ve both decided that Potters is far superior. We’ve even joint the Friends Club and the offers are value for money but the cancellation offers are even better.
I’m pleased to say “Potters you’re stuck with us now”.

Potters has to be the very best holiday…

Potters has to be the very best holiday resort in the UK. The locations are great but the staff are the jewels in the crown. The staff are magnificent and I mean every member we had contact with. Reception staff are the most helpful and friendly lot I have very interacted with. Have we ever had an issue to resolve and the answer is yes. However on the twice I had reason to ask for a solution it was provided instantly. Never have I encountered instant positive solutions than at Potters. The restaurant staff are simply more than you could ask for. They are amazing. Friendly, chatty, helpful and willing to ensure your experience is positive. Bar staff also friendly and helpful. Some of the younger members could use some experience but all in all they will develop over time. Now the entertainment is way above anything you are likely to have experienced anywhere in UK or overseas and the only way to prove that is to experience it for yourself. The evening shows are worthy of any London or New York experience they are simply the best you can find. Daytime activities are great and if you like quizzes and singing you will be in Potters heaven. Nearly forgot the food which is superb as is the selection. Do I have any advice and my answer is yes, bring some elastic waist clothing. Have fun.

our favourite holiday destination

Even though we live quite close to Potters Five lakes we love going there, because its all inclusive you only need money if you play bingo, there are so many activities during the day too, the theatre shows are west End standard, its just like being on cruise

Our 4 th time at Potters

Our 4 th time at Potters . Hopton-on-Sea.
What an amazing place .
We always visit on the family breaks ,although no children with us ,it’s wonderful watching the youngsters helping with the entertainment.
Nighttime entertainment in the theatre is definitely
West end standard.
The fact that it is all inclusive makes the stay even
better .
Such a wide variety of tasty food on the menu ,all
beautifully cooked and presented .
We had a superb ,efficient and fun waitress called Mel.
We all had great banter with her ,she was so good considering there was 10 of us .
We stayed in a premium room in the hotel .
The room was spotless ,spacious and the bed very comfortable .
It would be impossible to be bored at
Potters as there is so much going on in the main entertainment area and in the grounds .
Roll on next year when we will all meet up again ,and visit this amazing place .

Fabulous stay at Hopton with just a couple of small negatives

We were at Hopton over the easter holidays, just my husband and me (he’s retired, but I work in a school). I know we could have gone to FL, but we both prefer Hopton. First time there since 2022 and had a great week all round.

The food was exceptional. David was our waiter all week and he was great, so helpful and friendly. We stayed in a hotel deluxe room which was fabulous and I had the best night sleep in those beds.

On the second day we were in the steam room at the Palms. Bearing in mind that you could hardly see each other in there, we were chatting away to a couple of blokes, talking generally about Potters and what was on offer there. Making an assumption, I said “so you two are just in here escaping the kids for a while”. “No” they said “we work here – part of the entertainment team”. I’m then peering through the steam and it’s only Jack and James, (I recognised Jack, but not James). Anyway, lovely guys, thanks for letting me put my foot in it!

The evening entertainment was spectacular, apart from the visiting artists “Duchess”. We didn’t like them, “screeching” was how I described it (and I heard that comment from someone else as well). Lots of people walked out unfortunately (us included). However, if we hadn’t done that we would not then have met the wonderful Kath in the Garden Bar. She has been coming to Hopton for 60 years, since she was 10 years old. It was so interesting to chat with her, she was full of interesting information and anecdotes.

The weather was great all week which helped a lot, especially with all of the outdoor activities. We did loads, and I channelled my inner child, going on the inflatable assault course and also doing the bungee trampoline. We did some great walks in the sunshine along the sea front, discovered our competitive side in the air rifles and found out that shuffleboard is strangely addictive.

A great week all round, all of the staff there are so friendly and helpful – they really make your holiday.

The only tiny negative is that Potters really need to get rid of the shower curtains in the bathroom! - they are horrible and you spend the whole time trying to avoid them!
