Check Your Receipt
I bought some canned beans and corn, all at different prices. At checkout, the barcode on the cheapest can wasn’t scanning, so the cashier just scanned the more expensive one instead. When I checked my receipt and noticed the mistake, I asked for a refund, but he refused, saying the price had gone up.
I stood my ground and asked him to check the prices. When he came back, he admitted I was right—but then said he still couldn’t refund me because he needed another team member, and there were only two of them working. It felt like he just didn’t want to deal with it.
Eventually, I did get my refund, but the whole experience was frustrating. A cashier should know the prices, take the time to scan items properly, and handle refunds without making the customer jump through hoops.
