Distressing experience
It was close enough to Gatwick, a five minute drive away however, as there was no hotel shuttle it cost £26 for a taxi from the airport. The day before my arrival they informed me that their was no restaurant available then to top of a horrible experience, the room had no air conditioning and it was 30 degrees outside!!! Having travelled for over 15 hours I simply wanted one night to rest before continuing my journey only to be subjected to a distressing experience.

Book a treat for my son in Belfast and Derry using my credit card. Apparently thats not possible - it would be useful if the booking website said so!! Phoned up and was told to email Derry with my confirmation then they could use my card details. WRONG. That failed again!
Come on people sort yourselves out - provide accurate information!
Great Allergy Experience
Recently stayed in the Premier inn solihull hockley heath m42 and the staff were brilliant with my allergy. Made my food separate and separate cutlery every morning and night and made me feel very safe and content when dining. There isn’t many places you would get this kind of service.
Bedroom was also very clean

I stay at premier inn on a regular basis for work, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Also stay there in my leisure time amd have just had 4 nights in 2 premier inn hotels in London, great hotels, staff amd facilities

My husband stayed in Hull city premier inn and encountered problems with noise and a faulty shower. However it is the inability of premier inn to respond after contacting them on WhatsApp , phone and email that shows poor customer service
Premier Inn, Uxbridge Road, Slough.... Can't give them ZERO stars
Just got back from our stay at this hotel........Nightmare from start to finish! Wish it could have been ZERO stars!
We arrived at LHR on late flight and wanted somewhere to stay, close to the M4, where we did not have to pay LHR prices but could expect a reasonable room/stay, rather than drive home to arrive in the early hours whilst tired from almost 16 hours travelling.
How mistaken we were! Arrived around 10:35pm and, of course, we only found a parking space about as far away from reception as you could get, at that time (expected!) so two pensioners had to drag their suitcases across a car park that could best be described as, "a gravel surface, with potholes, pretending to be a road". We got to the reception and were given our room at about 10:45. We asked if we could get something to drink, a soft drink, or water, but were told that the bar(restaurant) was closed. I asked what we could do to get something to drink and as an afterthought was told "we have a vending machine", but was not shown it. We had to go hunting it later. Got to the room and looked around, it seemed OK. but in the bathroom, some of the bath panels were warped and the finish behind the toilet/cistern looked like it had been repaired and left! Very poor. The A/C sounded like an 'express train' coming on every 10-15 minutes through the night! Great for sleeping...not!
The following morning at 7:30, we got up and tried to use toilet facilities.............NO WATER! I left my wife trying to clean her teeth with the trickle of water coming from the tap and went to reception to ask why we had no water. There were several other people enquiring the same thing. The staff appeared mystified and said they would investigate. No sorry, no apology, no alternatives! I went back to our room and we got packed ready to leave and went to get our 'pre-paid' breakfast at 08:50 (more people were around reception asking about the water supply on the first and second floor!). After breakfast, at around 9:05, we went back to our room, picked our bags to leave, but then noticed that miraculously the water pressure had returned. Too late for us, as we were leaving, and we had to be home for other appointments later in the day, and despite this, we still had not been informed that it had been restored! We left with no apology, no sorry.......Never to return!
Addendum:
Guest relations contacted us and basically told us that the water pressure had been restored within 10 minutes, What a load of rubbish.......07:30 to 08:50 = 1hr 20 minutes minmum!
Worst UK Hotels ever
I use Premier Inn alot for work, as travel all over the UK. The new Next Evolution Style refurbished rooms, as Premier Inn calls them are an absolute disgrace. It is like staying in a cheap budget European hostel. These are no good for business users. There is no room to set up a laptop or other office equipment as they have taken away the desks, you are just given a small round table. If you are staying for a few days there are no draws to store you underwear or socks. So these have to sit in your suitcase. The coat hangers are awful as you have to slide them off the rail, so taken you half an hour just to get your clothes ready for the day. Huge lack of AC in their rooms as well. A B&B would be better and that's what I'll rather use then their low budget nasty hotels. They stated that they got the idea for these new refurb rooms from lockdown. No you are holding back budgets and don't want to pay out for decent furnished rooms. I think Premier Inns, Whitehead have sunk lower than Travellodges now. SORT IT OUT Whitbread........ !!!!!
We stayed at the Premier Inn Brighton…
We stayed at the Premier Inn Brighton City North Street.
The staff couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were very clean and the beds as always were comfortable so we had a great nights sleep.
A disgrace
How does Premier Inn expect anyone to sleep in a room where the temperature 31,5 degrees is. This was the case recently at Basingstoke West. Apart from not sleeping, the area outside where people can enjoy there meal was not only filthy but infested with rats as well. This could not be reported as there was no one at the reception desk. Worse of all, the complaints service doesn't take any complaints seriously. Absolute a disgrace. Never again.
Great if you love sleeping in your own sweat…
Great if you love sleeping in your own sweat. The hottests beds I've ever tried to sleep in. Even with the temperature all the way down, it's impossible to sleep in the heat. Its cooler outside in the afternoon than it is under the covers with the cooling all the way down. I hardly sweat in the heat but my shirt was soaked after like an hour. Only reason it's not 1 star is the nice enough restaurant attached and the lovely staff
Unbearingly hot
Premier Inn Ashby de la Zouch. I booked by phone and the operator simply did not understand the place name Ashby de la Zouch. I told him it was in Leicestershire. I only found out later the call centre is in Egypt. The room was 31 degrees. Far too hot. Window tampered with so could only open a fraction. Lady at reception basically told me it was my fault because I hadn't checked on the website whether it had air conditioning! Fans (2) did not alter temperature. It made me feel sick being in the room at all. Room 217. .. Have since seen a review which stated this room was too hot in September. Good night guarantee is not being honoured, and you DO NOT know what you are getting (the catch phrase of the Lenny Henry adverts)
I stay a premier inns all over the…
I stay a premier inns all over the country for work, they are generally, clean and with helpful staff. I am knocking off one star because room quality and size does vary quite a bit, for example some hotels offer A/C, others don't and the size of rooms can vary quite a lot, but generally you know what you are getting.
Leicester Premier Inn - Great location, great service
I stayed at the Leicester Premier Inn. The location is great, it's a few minutes from the train station. My room was spacious, the air conditioning was a life saver. I ate at the hotel for dinner and the food was great - the desserts were delicious and the mains were good, classic dishes.
The staff were friendly and really helpful, and were able to answer slightly unusual questions like "where can I get a hot water bottle around here". They took all the stress out of my stay and I cannot thank them enough for all their hard work.
There are two tiny things that stopped this being a 5-star review. The first was that on Saturday night, there seemed to only be one staff member on duty. They had to both work at the front desk and the restaurant, so I had to go to the front desk to ask to pay the food bill. I'm sure this isn't the staff member's fault, but during the week we had a dedicated staff member in the restaurant in the evening. Surely Saturday will be busier than the week, so it seemed a bit illogical.
The second is the lifts. There are two lifts but for fire safety reasons, they act completely separately. So if you press the button to call one lift, only that lift will respond. If that lift is going up and you want to go down, be prepared to wait. I was close enough to the ground floor that taking the stairs was probably very healthy, but if I'm tired, I shouldn't have to wait forever for a lift. I understand this is probably unavoidable for safety reasons, but maybe a third lift could ease the strain.
All in all, those two minor issues were slightly annoying, but didn't get in the way of a great stay.
Happy with Victoria Premier Inn
I am happy with the Victoria Premier Inn, the one nearest to Victoria Station in London. Staff were welcoming.
⚠️Significant Safety and Hygiene…
⚠️Significant Safety and Hygiene Concerns – Do Not Recommend
RE:Brighton City Centre
My recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing &, more importantly, fell far below acceptable safety and hygiene standards. I am documenting these issues here publicly as the hotel management declined to provide any resolution.
Safety Hazards: There was a portable heater in a public corridor with the casing missing, leaving live electrical components completely exposed and accessible to guests. Inside my room, there was a broken, sharp window ledge that posed a physical danger.
The room was not properly cleaned prior to my arrival, evidenced by deep-set, permanent stains on the headboard & a damp, used towel left in the wardrobe. Layer of dust on work area & on kettle, we cleaned with wipes, turned on the heating system & it blew out more dust causing the work area to be dusty again
Communal areas, specifically the stairs & windows showed a heavy accumulation of dirt.
My room was fitted with a commercial-style,single sheet paper dispenser instead of standard toilet rolls, who does this!
Food: pizza that tasted of plastic, literally.
The place is shockingly filthy, not something that happened overnight, this is an accumulation of months.
Despite providing photographic evidence of these systemic failures to management, they refused any redress, citing a policy that issues must be reported at the time. I did not feel comfortable or confident that these deep-rooted maintenance and safety issues could be resolved by staff during my short stay.
Unable to upload pictures on this site but I have photographic evidence of these conditions alongside this review for clarity.
Potential guests should be aware of these serious maintenance and safety oversights before booking.
Enjoyed an easy two days at Premier Inn…
Enjoyed an easy two days at Premier Inn Worthing. Any quest or queries were amicably resolved by Keith, the assistant manager. Also, many thanks to Chris for the very tasty breakfasts and for her very pleasant attitude.
Visited Cardiff South Premier Inn
Visited Cardiff South Premier Inn, 20 degrees outside, 37 in the room. No attempt to cool it down, no ventilation. Feedback to premier in got a email back to say hotel as advertised so tough luck.
Avoid using call centre- awful!
Hotels were great but the off-shore call centre lets this brand down . Whilst our stays in Frome and Marlborough were great- the whole booking process and trying to get help from the call centre was awful! It’s based in Egypt it seems- I had booked a twin but the email stated double. 4 attempts to try and get through. They couldn’t not understand me, told me to hang up(?!) and promised they’d changed the booking to a twin (and charged me more for it) but on arrival it was a double. It was painful and has really put me off. How embarrassing for the hotels who actually did a great job!
We bought this mattress two months ago
We bought this mattress two months ago, and ever since then we have been suffering from pain all over our bodies every morning. We contacted the company and asked to return the mattress, but our request was ignored.
This has been a very disappointing experience. We do not recommend buying these mattresses. Don’t waste your money.
