Its encouraging to shop here. God bless the Staff and their Families, and thank you ALL for braving this freezing snowy, icy weather. Be Safe and Warm!!

Thanksgiving pies

This morning I went to market 32 on Balltown Rd in Niskayuna. I had ordered pies for Thanksgiving because I’m a terrible baker, and when I arrived at the bakery counter, discovered that Bob G had been up since the wee hours of the morning baking and had my pies all ready to go! He was both pleasant and professional, and makes the best pies ever!

We purchased 2 boxes of pasta from…

We purchased 2 boxes of pasta from price chopper Cicero When we poured one box in a pan of hot water we saw bugs on the pasta. I opened the second box poured it in a dish and that box also had bugs. We called them up to inform them and brought the pasta in a bag to show them. The manager told my wife that we must have dirty pans. That manager should be FIRED. We are done with price chopper.

This is how ignorant some people are

This is how ignorant some people are! I was shopping at the Amsterdam Price Chopper, store #139 today, wearing my Trump for President t-shirt.
As I was checking out, the young cashier #0029, sees my shirt & asks me “is that Trump”? I tell her, yes it is. She says “I laughed when Trump got shot”! This is TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE & UNACCEPTABLE!,, She didn’t EVEN deserve a reaction/response from me, so I finished checking out & left the store!
SO THIS IS THE TYPE OF PEOPLE PRICE CHOPPER EMPLOYES? GOD HELP US ALL!

A continuing problem at this store is…

A continuing problem at this store is the lack of cashiers (many times there is only one) and half the self checkout lines are closed and the open ones backed up with shoppers, many with full carts due to lack of cashiers. Those of us with just a few items wait and wait. Intolerable. Complaints to management, when you can find them, is useless.

Store on Glenwood Ave

Store on Glenwood Ave. DID NOT have a cashier at 9 am on a weekday. I do not work there and will not take a cart full of groceries through self checkout. Employees watching self checkout and blocking isles stocking shelves but no cashier lines open. Will drive to different store from now on.

The Price Chopper SUCKS !

The Price Chopper on Barry road in Gladstone Missouri: this is one of the worst supermarkets I've ever seen.
They redid it - you can't see anything in there with their LED lighting, they have the checkers on the same side you are which is insulting and the parking lot - they were supposed to redo it (they didn't) has cars so close to the next car almost, probably illegal car spacing width, that everyone gets door dings and I've seen several wrecks in the parking lot waiting for my Mom.
I would never ever shop at that supermarket and pay somebody else (Hy-Vee) more just to avoid the place.
And like Macy's and Kohl's, they jack the prices up and then tell you, you're saving a bunch on the receipt, which is just a bunch of BS.
Good luck with that store if you want to waste money and get your car tore up.

I did my grocery shopping by Instacart…

I did my grocery shopping by Instacart yesterday at the Price Chopper in Hopkinton, MA. I received my confirmation by e-mail. So, my husband and I went to pick it up today. They do not enforce the parking area
that is designated for pick up only. There was not one spot available because of all the cars parked in the special spots were all taken. Funny there was not one person in their car waiting for their order. They were all in the store shopping.

I called to tell them we were here. Got a recording 3 times that said, "I'm sorry no voice mail was set up for this number". So, I called the store. (So far we were there 25 minutes). Finally a young man came out and asked our name because obviously there was no order ready. I showed the young man my confirmation so he went back in. 5 minutes later he came out and said there was no order for us.

So, I went into the store to find a manager. He was called but never came. His name is John G. I was then told he might be unloading a truck. So, because they already charged my cc I had to keep waiting. So now I've been there 50 minutes. Well, the manager John G. finally came. I explained the situation to him and I showed him my confirmation on my phone. He was useless and I mean useless! He didn't care one bit that I have waited an hour now. He told me to call Instacart to get my money back. Again, he acted like he didn't even care about what they were putting me through. He is the worst and most useless manager Price Chopper in Hopkinton, MA has.

I have shopped through Instacart through other stores in the area and waited 3-4 minutes and my order was brought out and I was on my way home. Shaw's, Hannaford's and the Big Y are excellent for Instacart.

I wouldn't recommend this store managed by John G. to anyone! Take my advise and Shop elsewhere. This store is a joke!

Their e-coupons seldom work.

I've made 4 calls at least to Price Chopper to let them know their e-coupons seldom work. Each time I was assured the issue was fixed. I get to the store and the e-coupons still don't work. It's bad enough Price Chopper has weekly ad coupons and I Saver coupons as well as e-coupons. It they can't manage to make all 3 work then it's time they did away with some of them. Not a happy Chopper customer.

The Price Chopper in Chatham

The Price Chopper in Chatham, N.Y. turns out some excellent special order cakes. This last time around, the person in the bakery did not want to take a cake order, 3 days in advance of the pickup date. I got into his nonsense and crying, and he relented. What a guy.... doing his job. When I picked it up, it was barely decorated. Just a border, and a Happy Birthday... No flowers at all. When I complained. I was told the "decorator" was on vacation. Wonder how all the other cakes on display got decorated. Hmmm.... I smell bullish*t. Well, I got ahold of the manager on duty who gave me half off on the cake, but that's not really what I wanted. The cake was delicious, but I was really not happy withe the whole thing.
Price Chopper has the highest prices around, and you can wait forever to check out there. I have never seen more than 3 registers open at any given time, with lines streaming down the aisles. 2 out of 4 self-service or generally closed. Which is why I do next to no shopping there.

Overland Park Price Chopper Pies go moldy in just 3 days

Recently I had to pick up some items for a luncheon gathering on Sunday May 31st. The meal plan called for baked lasagna and Caesar salad with others of us bringing various side dishes and culinary accoutrements.

We each volunteered to bring various items from a prepared list for our luncheon. I chose dessert and offered to bring several kinds. I selected baked goods because I have a bit of experience in selecting tasty examples of the pie variety.

It was Thursday May 28th and I was out running errands anyway so I thought it would be a good time to pick up my choices since I was in the vicinity anyway.

I stopped by Price Choppers at 8686 Antioch Rd, Overland Park, KS 66212 to pick up several pies for the occasion, one cherry and one apple.

Arriving at the bakery department there was quite a selection of baked goods but after a bit I selected what I thought were outstanding examples of both pastries. After paying for the items i checked out and went home. I didn't refrigerate the two items because they were left in their respective sealed packages.

Besides I remember my grandmother baking pies and putting them in a pie safe sometimes for well over a month in the summer. Fruit pies and canned jellies are not subject to bacteria spoilage as in the case of raw fruit. As long as they are stored in a dust free environment, they are fine. Dust causes poisonous growths in uncovered jams and jellies.

The pies were loaded into my automobile and I left early Sunday morning (May 31st) for the luncheon arriving at my destination in about two hours. I brought them into our gathering and all seemed well. Somewhere after one we finally got to dessert. I asked to have a piece of the cherry pie I brought. One of the young ladies sliced the pie and I removed a piece. One of the ladies next to me started to get a piece when she asked what was this dark object next to the piece I had just gotten. Examining it a bit closer, it looked to be mold.

We quickly checked the apple pie and it too was showing small spots of green mold. I was both surprised and embarrassed because I had never seen pie that was sealed grow mold.

It occurred to me that Price Chopper's bakery was not handling their product very carefully because mold doesn't grow overnight so these pies were contaminated before they were ever packaged.

When I returned to the Overland Park location where I purchased them and told the bakery what I found, they made no effort to even apologize. The woman behind the counter just blabbed some meaningless nonsense and made no offer to refund my purchase price.

The Cherry Pie (large dark spot adjacent to the 'cherry sticker')

The Apple Pie (showing green mold spots in center)

I informed them that I would not purchase any further baked goods at this store in the future.

I'm really disappointed with Price…

I'm really disappointed with Price Chopper in Watertown, NY. I shop there and I have my prescriptions sent there. Today I needed an important prescription but I was too sick to drive to get it. I checked online and found that they would deliver for $5. So, I called the pharmacy. They told me that Watertown Price Chopper doesn't do this and that I could have it mailed out but that would not happen until next Tuesday, 4 days from now. I finally called a cab and had it delivered. Now I will not only start using a pharmacy that will deliver but I will be checking everything when I shop at Price Chopper. I don't trust them anymore.
