Car delivery - 100pct flex - different locations
Car was brand new, really special edition - amg 6.3 with all options

Exciting Cars

Excellent rent a car experience in Nice

I travelled to Nice, they delivered the car directly to the airport with a driver at 10 PM, and also when we flew back they took the car from the airport back. Excellent car, excellent service, good price, professional. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent - highly recommended

Gaetano and his colleagues are fantastic. The service level is great: they were very flexible when we needed to extend our rental due to a flight cancellation let alone the convenience of having the car delivered and picked up where most convenient. Speaking about: the car we rented was immaculate and almost spanking new, let alone well spec’ed.

The pick-up experience was horrible

The pick-up experience was horrible. You pay a lot of money for these rentals, and they claim to be a 'prime' rental experience. Not in our experience.

We got married in Italy and rented a luxury car for 4 days. After our wedding we drove the car to our hotel in Rome for the start of our honeymoon. Months in advance we communicated the pick-up point for the car to be the location of our Rome hotel. We should have been contacted by the driver that would pick up our car within 24 hours in advance of the pick-up. We didn't hear anything.. So half an hour before we would reach our pick-up point we decided to stop the car to contact the general number and ask if everything was still good, if they were still gonna be at the discussed pick-up point at the time we agreed. After a bit on the phone they gave us the number of the driver that would pick up the car. So we messaged him if everything was still good, and he said he hoped he could make it on time as he just heard that he would be picking up the car... we were a bit early at the pick-up point, and we couldn't really park the car as it was a hotel in the centr of Rome. One stayed at the car in the road while the other one already brought our luggage to the hotel, where they told us, wait you are with the car?? You cannot drive here, it's a restricted zone, you will be fined...

We had never driven in Italy before so we had no idea there where all these restricted zones in Rome. Prime Rent, didn't give us ANY information about this and when we contacted them to say that we felt they should have informed us, as they knew the pick-up location, they told us they couldn't possibly be required to keep up with all the pick-up locations of the custommers... No, but a simple warning or disclaimer when we agreed the pick-up point, like "Beware, some zones in Rome are restricted, check if your location is in one of them", would have sufficed! Our location was only 600 meter away from a good location outside the zone, we could have just agreed to do that!

The driver who picked up the car told us he has seen the same problem before and he had told Prime Rent of it, and that normally he would give the warning when he contacted the custommer 24h in advance, but he just got the notice half an hour ago (when we called..).

So yea, a lot of stress and a fine that they refuse to take responsibilty for to start our honeymoon, great job Prime Rent... Don't go with them please.

14 day rental with Primerentcar

We have just returned from Italy on a 14-day self driving trip (7 of us). Primerentcar.com was absolutely fantastic. We rented an automatic Mercedes V-Class. A Primerentcar staff met us at the airport arrival terminal and we got our car at kerbside. We arranged to meet another Primerentcar staff at a time of our choosing at the departure terminal and dropped off the car at kerbside again. Everything else was done via email and via WhatsApp with Katia. Couldn't ask for better luxury car rental. I was so pleased I am looking around to post positive reviews for them.

Pathetic company

Pathetic company, rude to their clients. Have been a client of theirs for a few years now having had a number of rentals, I'm giving a genuine feedback. They are very slow to rectify any issues or questions that you may have. During my first long term rental a service light popped it took weeks for them to arrange anything with my local dealership I ended up booking myself in and taking care of it personally (2 occasions on the same car). Depending on what time of year you book your car you might get summer tires or winter if you rental takes place across different season tough luck they tell you to change the tires yourself then bring them back to their garage at the end of the rental, paying for a premium service at the end you end up doing their work for them. The second rental involved a total disaster when it came to the payments from their back office. I collected a car on the 5th November which means the monthly payments would come out on the 5th of every month. It did for the first coupe of months then they simply forgot to charge me for 2 months resulting in threats for the car to be taken away and being rushed to make a payment like some criminal, something that was not my fault in anyway if the payment was taken as agreed every 5th automatically there would of not been any issue the bank would of accepted the charge. If you extend your rental they never send you any email with confirmation or a new contract and if you get stopped by the police you just need to tell how incompetent the company is and yet again waste time due to they appalling service! Furthermore, to get in touch with them and get a proper reply you need to constantly email or WhatsApp them and they never replied. Last time took me 4 weeks to get a decent reply when I payed thousands of euro!!!! All in all AVOID this people you'd be better off with other companies, prices are compete rip off. Get yourself an luxurious car from Sixt in Germany or any other know company and you'll pay half the price for a premium car that comes from experience. Appealing service, not worth the money.
