Written by the company

Colchester based 3D printing and CAD design business. When we first started we specialised in reproducing and inventing/designing components for classis cars and motorbikes. That's still a large part of our business, but today we produce pretty much everything from replacement shower door hinges, to induction scoops for race cars. We also utilise in-house CO2 laser cutting/engraving alongside 3D printing, and can offer advice on an array of manufacturing processes. Many of our clients use us for rapid prototyping of products prior to moving into mass production.

Brilliant communication, affordability, kindness, and professionalism.

5/5. Kind, informative, responsive, affordable, and professional.

I needed a part which would fit into a cupholder that would fix a problem I was having. And so, I found a 3d model on the internet that would fix my problem.

I then I had to decide on where I would try to get this part printed. And I originally thought I had limited options. Since i didnt know about any printing companies in colchester. So I searched online, found a few, but most of them wanted £30+ worth for this pretty small bit of plastic. Plus I would need to pay delivery. And that was almost all the sites I came across.

Until, I searched on google for local ones in Colchester. And after skipping through many sponsored companies (that I already looked through) I found PrintSolid, and anothet local company. I contacted the other company first, and then emailed this one a little later.
What I didnt expect, was PrintSolid replying first (despite me contacting them a couple of hours later), with a very friendly and informative response to me after attatching the 3d model to my email that I sent to them. I had a little back and fourth conversation about pricing (£15 compared to £30 by the way), and times they could get it printed; and they responded kindly and informatively every time. And all of this was on a monday as well.
But, because I wanted to hear from the other company, I waited one more day until 1pm on the tuesday. And still no response.

This then led me to just automatically go with this company. Because their ease and consistency of communication, their kindness, and their informativeness was so much better than all of the other companies I had visited and contacted, that It was a no brainer to go with them.
I also had a query with another problem I was having with the same cupholder, and he offered a solution that would cost neither me nor him anything, and so he added it for free!

Then on the wednesday, I got a reply from the other company. And, even though their price was cheaper by about £5. I had no regrets. Because I would have chosen PrintSolid over them anyway. Just because of their pure professionalism.

So, If you are a local resident of colchester, definitely go here for any 3d printing needs you have. Large or small.
And (if they do delivery) I would rely on them for that as well. Since they seem to be extremely reliable!
