No CC accepted, lost most of my money.
Bought a Present for My brother that lives in Madrid. I live outside the EU.
order 260423179.
90e cost.
Since they don't accept credit cards. I had to pay 25e fees for international bank transfer. They were charged, another 24e on their end. I was Asked to cover those as well.
I cancelled the entire order, lost most of the money due to bank fees on return.
Supplementary response after shop reply:
I will try to explain why this situation is ridiculous, to my view at least.
I stumbled upon this shop, and found something I was interested in. Bought it for the stipulated price + S&H. When prompted to pay, I discovered there is no credit card or any other normalized and up to date payment method other than a bank transfer.
Given my commitment to purchase, I sent a bank wire.
Of course I did take responsibly of the fees on my side, amounting to 27% surcharge above my initial purchase, something a simple up to date clearing system would avoid altogether. This is the only payment method chosen by the store, apart from instore payment, So I assumed my extra charges.
I find it unprofessional for the store to claim from me their bank fees as well, fees due to their choosing of this payment method. In the end summing over 50% surcharge over the original price only because of their decision.
When you as a business chose a payment method, you calculate the cost of payment into your pricing. The same way I do not roll over my CC clearing company fees to my clients upon completing a deal.
If you are not willing to cover operational fees from your end on situations like international bank wire, then block the option to access the web from outside your country or the EU.
This shop negligence left me no product and with only a small fraction of my payment. So yes, I am angry. I wish I bough the product from a normal dealer like Am****.
Therefore, I do not recommend this shop.
As for the owner. Always remember the excellent PR decision made, all that you saved to get this raving review was 24 euros (even lees considering it a deductible expense). You didn’t sell anything in the end, and managed to piss of a new potential client that will never buy from you. I hope it was worth it.
