thiefs , scamers

I hired Pro movers online to move from California to Massachusetts. the estimated cost was $2300 they told me on the phone plus minus $200. The move was scheduled for 08/01/2022. Ob the date of the scheduled move somebody else show up 5 hours latter then was scheduled after disrespecting me he left without doing his job, and when I called the supervisor he told me he will send somebody else next day .The next August 2 /2022 the company sends another mover named pro smart movers , simulate situation, movers refused to take half of my stuff and the price went up more than half , the movers refused to take most of my stuff and I was forced to give it to the movers for free and the rest was left out in the condo. Because this happened my ex landlord charged me $800 for removing my stuff , I lost my stuff and have to pay for that too. Movers told me they will pack my stuff because they are responsible for the damages , they pack my furniture’s, tv, and other stuff ,I was told told my stuff will be delivered in 10 days to 15 days but that didn't happen. More than a month later they delivered our stuff unannounced. they asked me to pay before unloading my stuff I paid the remaining balance in full which was $700 and signed the document. The movers unpack part of my stuff, we realize that part of my furniture is missing, and a lot of stuff is broken, they dropped cabinet destroying it, every piece of furniture was bitten up all the corners smashed and damaged, not covered or protected from damages, there were chemical spills everywhere, my boxes was opened and half empty, glasses plates broken, when movers were unpacking they destroyed my wood floors dragging the furniture and boxes, hit the walls making damages in the walls and stuff they were unpacking. I ask them to be careful they told me they are not movers they got hired today from craigslist to help, I ask the man in charge to control the unpacking since there is too much damage in the house, also show him the damaged boxes and furniture, he said the damage was done in the wear house and ask me to call his boss. there was still furniture and boxes on the driveway when the movers said they going to pick up their tools and will be back in 10 minutes to finish unpacking and setting up back the furniture, but they never come back or responded their phone, I called the office , the manager told me he will send someone finish the job the next day but it didn't happen, it start raining and got dark, people from street started look into my stuff and try take it , I did try bring some of the furniture with my kids and end up in the hospital the same day.
movers destroy my stuff and lost parts and ask for additional money if I want my missing stuff back 5 boxes, large luggage, 2-night stands and parts of the bedroom, they ignored the phone calls I have videos proving they left stuff outside ,also throwing boxes damaging my plates and glass wear , tv is not working and have scratches, every single furniture is beat up or broken, movers ignoring the situation, asking for money even they overcharged me anyway. the list that the movers have don't match the list I signed the contract for, some of my stuff movers got for themself instead move it to Ma. My moving load was rubbered ,boxes opened and stuff stolen from the boxes. there were mice poop and pee all over my clothes and furniture. I was working with the movers for months, they promised to pay for all the damages and for leaving my stuff on the driveway. but all they did is promise until today I didn't get back any money for damages, they also still holding my stuff hostage. they stopped respond phone calls and emails, 2 months ago,my hope is in the court's hands now.

SCAMMERS -DO NOT USE THEM!

We had so many issues with this AWFUL SCAMMING moving company!! First off, we were quoted 9k for our move and it ended up being over 17k to move from CA to TX!! This was absolutely insane and everytime we turned around, we were getting upcharged. It seemed like they were taking advantage of us because my grandma was the one who hired them and my mother dealt with them as well, but as soon as my uncle showed up, the owner of the company was more than happy to give him his business card and tell him if we needed anything, to reach out. I HAVE LEFT HIM VOICEMAILS AND TEXTED HIM AND HE HAS NEVER CALLED ME BACK EVEN THOUGH HE SAID HE WOULD A WEEK AGO. It seems like the owner John only had respect for my uncle. The way they packed our things was clearly for their monetary benefit - they didn't pack the drawers or empty spaces with belongings like anyone in their right mind would (except for one mover who said he would save us money by packing things in ONE of the shelves) because Erica said they wouldn't and she seemed to be super money hungry, they made us put every single thing in boxes (even things that made no sense to box up) and in the next breath told us that we needed to pay for these boxes, told us that we "added things" from one day to the next - the main mover Marcus walked around the first day and said he could fit everything in a trailer even though we told them beforehand that we needed a truck but they only brought a trailer. Then, we asked to receive our things on 6/29 but we didn't get them until 7/9. When we received our belongings, multiple items were damaged beyond repair, and they lost my mom and grandma's bed parts so we had to drive 2 hours to IKEA to get the parts so they could sleep in their beds multiple days later. It seemed like the movers just didn't want to put them together. They told us it would take 12 hours to unload our things, but only took 4 with multiple breaks they took included. They left multiple items unwrapped, and left the pizza that they forced me to buy them (and never paid me back for) on our front lawn, water bottles in our street, and the furniture wrapping trash on our front lawn as well. The main mover was really rude and told me he wouldn't move my bed if it didn't fit a certain way, saying "I only move one time" while putting his finger in my face. He was also being rude to my grandma when they found that one of her items was broken - he was handing a broken piece of it to her telling her she needed to put it together, instead of trying to fix it himself. When he was leaving, my mother called to him and asked if they were going to clean up the trash and he just shook his head and got in his truck and left. He had us fill out paperwork of the things that were damaged so far and said we would have to file a claim for anything else we found, insinuating that he would submit the original issues for refund and get it within a couple days for the beds, and a week for everything else. Of course, this was never done and we were just sent the claim form a couple days ago because I texted the owner and complained about how I had never heard back from him. My uncle had to disconnect the washer and dryer because they said they couldn't, they said they couldn't bring our fridge in and were going to give up until my grandma said they could take the handles off (our fridge got super scratched up too). We were told everything would be treated with the utmost of care and put together completely when they arrived, and they couldn't have been more untruthful about that. My mother had signed something with a certain price on it, and they came back later saying that they miscalculated and it was $900 more. We explained that this wasn't our fault and they conceded to taking off $300 but later said only $200 would be taken off (after giving this company over $17k they really tried to fight us over $100! We gave in and shouldn't have) All in all it was a disastrous, MISERABLE experience for the insane amount of money we were charged. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. They seem like they're scammers - especially the fact that we've never heard anything back from the owner besides lying about how he would call me in a few days!
Response since I can't reply:
I did call you, leave voicemails, and send texts to that exact number and you only replied when I said I would post reviews. You said you would call and never did. This was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. We're not made of money so this $17k we paid for bad service really took a blow. We can't even look back and think well at least it was worth it - we think back on the experience with stress and misery. You guys should be ashamed of charging people almost double what you originally said. And apparently you're not even licensed in CA so I don't know how you're getting away with all of this.

Good afternoon Christi, this is the owner of the company John Ismagulov . I do apologize for the bad experience you had in my company! I wasn’t aware personally about this bad experience you had and unfortunately I didn’t received any messages or phone calls to my number (+1703-409-3598) . On the move date I stop by your house in California to make sure everything goes well and I gave my business card to your uncle. The reason I send the trailer to pick up your stuff it’s because it’s bigger then moving box truck and holds more space. However the estimate that the Broker was giving you didn’t had all the stuff listed in the house , and the team went ask you guys on estimate if you would like to move the entire house or just stuff that was listed and approved on inventory contract. Sorry but we go based on the item we pick and ship. About the packing service , it’s done by professional crew and especially lady (Erika ) that she only usually pack and being as a woman she is very good on that. However in moving out of state, sometimes thing can’t be avoided with out small dent or damages , and I know this in fact cause I’m a mover and + CDL A driver , I did many delivers and when I see the issue and always try to fix it.Agan I do apologize Dear Christi that this went out of my hands and I wasn’t able to satisfy with my relocation service. I’m glad that I was able to receive your review and I’ll take immediate action to resolve this case. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at anytime 703-409-3598

Dishonest - Poor Quality/Service

Sales team made promises that could not / would not be honored. Gave a discount to get the same and made a promise for a dedicated full sized truck at certain cost with a 3-day pack and load. They showed up with 2 box trucks and we had to kick them out of the house at 9:30pm as they were trying to get it done in one day. The packing crew did not protect carpeting even during a rain storm and tornado warning, just walked over carpet with wet/dirty shoes. They often taped directly over our baskets and some of our goods (not boxed or wrapped), damaged walls, scratched wood floors, and took a chunk out of wood door trim with a power cord from refrigerator….can’t wait to unload and plug that fridge into power. My motorcycle was just covered with a blanket and put on the truck on the kickstand, not strapped down. And then after all of my goods were packed up and on the way to the warehouse, they told me it would cost $5000 extra due to more goods and larger truck required. Why tell us AFTER our goods are packed so we have no recourse?? When I called to argue, dispatch continued to laugh under his breath during the call, calls/texts to sales continue to go unanswered, and emails to Booking/Quality go unresponded to after 2 weeks. Dishonest, poor quality, and unprofessional.

This was the WORST experience EVER

This was the WORST experience EVER! They were late and then added on charges to wrap my tv better etc. Then they went overtime and wanted to charge me extra, adding and extra charge for using a credit card and then wanting to take a picture of my ID upon payment. When I refused it was a hassle and when I said I would call the police they backed off. All shady and I will never use this company or recommend it to anyone...not even my dog. One star is generous.

I recently used Pro Smart Movers based on the Broker I used. I found the experience very professional. I have moved a few times before, this is not my first Rodeo. I have experienced some good and some very bad. Pro Smart was certainly one of the good ones. Marco, Rafael and a third gentleman worked very efficiently and monitored my Cubit feet as we went. Because of my various experiences, at times people on Facebook will ask for suggestions and things to look out for. I advise them and at times suggest various companies or services in their area. I will certainly recommend Pro Smart Movers. Good job guys.

Horrible experience with this company

Horrible experience with this company. We originally hired another company to do the move and they brokered it out to ProSmart. The whole entire process was a complete and utter nightmare. Upon arrival to pick up the items in my son's one bedroom apartment, they added money to the amount quoted. They wanted to add costs for including a laundry basket! The whole thing seemed shady from day one but the items were loaded and our hands were tired. They provided us with a number to call for updates on delivery. We were told 3-6 days (move from Chicago to Pittsburgh). The phone number they left us with was for another company as was the letterhead/bill of lading! To make a long story short, my son's items belongings were delivered 6 weeks later. We believe they only delivered them because we threatened them with a potential lawsuit. I think we talked to 5 different people in 3 different states with never an answer. When the items were delivered, the driver did not have any tools to assemble the table that they had taken apart. He had hired a helper off of Craigslist (this guy was actually good). As they were settling up payment, I could hear arguing so I am pretty certain that the helper wasn't paid his fair share. Finally, one item was delivered that did not belong to my son. I have tried many times to contact Pro Smart about this and no one has ever responded. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you hire US Interstate for the initial move, inquire about who they broker it out to

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! I contracted with them to move my things from California to South Carolina with a promise of a 21 business day turnaround. They picked my things up on April the 3rd, and as of today, May the 12th, my things are still in a warehouse in California with no ETA for arrival in South Carolina. They have been dodging my calls and refusing to give me a legitimate delivery date. Everyone I have spoken with in their company has a Russian accent. Ironically, any positive reviews about then are all from people with Russian names....

Worst moving company ever

Worst moving company we've ever experienced. They did a cross-country move. Although conducted a FaceTime quote to see entire apartment, and we selected this company based on that quote, they arrived 6pm (!) on the night before move-out and demanded a 150% increase on price based on information that should have already been known (number of rooms/items) -- what choice do you have under that sort of duress? Furthermore, charged over $1500 in packing supplies and some new extra distance fee, all things that were already known at the time of quote -- just bonkers. Workers bothered entire apartment complex being loud and mask-less until 3am. Workers were in terrible condition, none brought water or food and seemed to have not slept for days. Other end, same story - zero professionalism (dozens of stories not enough time to share them all), nobody brought even a utility knife to unbox or unwrap and had to borrow from us (and we had to ask where it was before they left, it was about to be stolen), they left mounds of plastic strewn around and didn't even finish unpacking before leaving. Many items scratched and dinged. Extremely expensive, not worth it at all, better off just putting up an ad on Craigslist. SCAM in every sense. We did not even directly contract with this company and were passed off to them by Safebound Moving & Storage unbeknownst to us. Extremely unethical companies, both of them. Only hope is even just one person that can read and benefit from this and avoid any business to a terrible organization.

DO NOT USE PRO SMART MOVERS

DO NOT USE PRO SMART MOVERS. I moved from IL to TN and Pro Smart Movers has been a nightmare from start to finish.
Two week after my boxes had been picked up on September 24, I was still awaiting a delivery update. After days of my calls going unanswered it was apparent my number was being screened. I was able to speak to a manager only once my friend helped me call using an unrecognizable phone number.
Delivery took place on the last possible day before it would be considered overdue, October 18. I had paid with a credit card previously and understood the remaining balance was due upon delivery, but the company failed to mention credit cards were not accepted on Sundays. After unpacking, I was so disappointed to realize I was not yet rid of Pro Smart Movers because I was missing a box. I find it suspicious that the box missing contained items of priceless jewelry, expensive hair styling products, and pricey skincare products.
Again, trying to contact this company for an update (regarding literally anything) is like trying to get a hold of a prisoner in a third world country; basically impossible. I called the day after my delivery to ask about their “missing boxes procedure” and was told that everyone in claims department was gone for the day – this was Monday at 3p.m. I finally received my claim form in early November. And it wasn't until I threatened legal action, that I got my refund back. I received a whopping total of $37 for my missing box that was well worth over $600...How did I receive payment? Zelle. And this is the same company that said I couldn't use a credit card on a Sunday. In conclusion, I completely regret using Pro Smart Movers. DO NOT USE PRO SMART MOVERS.
