Felicity was really helpful at getting me to gather all the final certificates documents needed.
The surveyor wrote really in depth reports and was also really helpful.
You do have to jump through alot of hoops and fo a quality build to get you 10 year structural warranty from Protek. It was expensive but I think all in all worth it as it will increase the final value of my newbuild as well as satisfying mortgage lenders if it was to be sold. I think a Protek warranty is a stamp of quality so if your buying a newbuild with one it probably has been well built.
I also bought site insurance through the build that wasn't a bad price.

We were looking for a warrranty and site insurance for our self build project. Protek provided the best rates and were very helpful on the phone and by email. A very straight forward process which is such a relief when there is so much to organise with a build.

Felicity did a great job of helping to resolve an outstanding RFI as part of our structural warranty inspections. She was able to offer sound advice on how best to approach closing the RFI with a very calm and practical approach. It was also a very timely response!

Very quick at actioning my stage release certificate and promptly responded to all requests asked of them. Felicity Kindly helped save us some money also by combining stage releases certificates. Used them for structural warranty and site insurance.

Hi, after completion of a self build, we found that we needed a warranty, unfortunately, I hadn’t placed one at the beginning as it would of been much cheaper, but Patric Lee at protek, was fantastic, very knowledgeable and I could always contact him, all in place and very happy.

they are using 3rd party surveyors who are a shambles. Between them, the surveyor gives you a call, don't discuss any detail as to what they want to see and to get the timings right. The more astute of you will figure out that it is a money making scheme. They will try and make a case for repeated visits and then this ends up exceeding the minimum number of visits you initially paid with Protek...SO MAY IN FACT COST YOU MORE THAN ANOTHER PROVIDER. avoid this company

I am new to the 'self-build' world. My Architect suggested that the extra protection a Warranty would offer was a wise choice. Holly was very helpful and patient with my lack of knowledge and explained how the process worked. Excellent service for a newcomer.

Felicity and Jack, on the customer service team, were extremely helpful, especially as our build was a challenging, non standard construction. There were a few problems along the way but Felicity in particular was very prompt with answers and solutions for us.
It took a while to get sorted and we were not always on the same page as the surveyor on site, but we got there in the end. Warranty is now in hand - a little bit of peace of mind!

There were a number of issues in obtaining the warranty caused in the main by a third party Building Control provider that had been dragging on for months but within a week of Felicity taking personal control everything was sorted.

I have always found Protek a good company to work with. From quotation and the start of a new project to managing the paperwork during the build. It is always a stressful time getting everything ready to sign off a new build however Protek has never failed in getting the paperwork to me to match my deadlines.
