I’m so disgusted with Publix prices

I’m so disgusted with Publix prices! On top of that they quit carrying so many of the items that I use. a lot of the Vigo products and so much more. They’re making so much money that one of their purchaser is buying handbags that cost more than $10,000. In addition to all that terrible stuff they give me a receipt yesterday, the cashier takes the time to circle where I can take a survey to get $1000 in groceries. Of course the survey even from their website takes you to another website that demands your phone number in order to do the survey. Who wants to give out your phone number these days as we’re all getting so many scams and most have been hacked. I’m just disgusted! boo on you Publix. #YouWereMyStoreNowYouSuck
PS my cashier Elizabeth W. in the St. Petersburg store treated the customer in front of me extremely poorly! Which is what prompted this review. Store number 0640 and your store is part of the problem.

Retaliation game

Publix store Dania Florida. Training me to work in their liquor store. 8 training days spread over a month...how can you retain what you learned? Took my concerns to corporate... store mgrs. retaliated by accusing me of slandering another mgr.... Asst. mgr. said 'several people heard you.' When I asked their names he refused to tell me. Cut my shifts to one a week. Heard from corporate...told them my story. They said they'd talk to manager Dave and he would call me. Never got a courtesy call from him...bruised his ego I guess. Started a FT job elsewhere...good riddance Publix!

Poorly Prepared food from the deli.

Once again, I got garbage food from the deli. I shopped at 4:30 or so and purchased a rotisserie chicken with a 6:30 best use time. I got it home and it was completely dried out. They regularly label things with a best use time that is beyond what it should be, or possibly change the best use by time when the product doesn't sell by that time.

I get that they are a monopoly, but sooner or later a smart operator will come into the markwt, challenge their dominance, and Publix will get their clock cleaned, Couldn't happen soon enough.

Usually shopping here isn't an issue…

Usually shopping here isn't an issue but the fun times of meeting the most disgusting condescending manager Arthur, the meat manger at store 1017. Not only did his staff member Thomas, argue with me about a product I know they have, I had to involve another manager named Chris just to get Thomas to at least ask someone else named Richard who also has no clue and decided to join in with his nasty attitude, then comes Arthur, the meat manger of the department. It all makes sense now why these teams members had such poor service. Arthur walks in with his condescending and antagonist attitude escalating the situation more, tries to then project his disgusting attitude on me. I fully understand why he has been passed over for promotion. Arthur, if this is how you treat customers I can't understand why you're even a manager, considering you have zero de-escalation skills, considering your staff started it and you just couldn't wait to join in. Oh and this is the MANAGER In CHARGE for the night. DISGUSTING.

What went wrong THIS time

What went wrong THIS time? It's all the time. Prices are stupid high. Bogos are a blatant lie. A Red Baron pizza is not normally 9+$. Bogo price. 4.50$ delivered from Wallys. All the bogos they had years ago, Gone! ME TOO.

The Mango Sunrise Chantilly cake…

The Mango Sunrise Chantilly cake doesn't have any mango slices in it. It still tastes good but don't waste your money if you are looking for mango in the cake. I guess I should have asked beforehand. 08/02/25

Great personal customer service

I always receive really great customer service from Publix at Waterside Village near Hamilton Place in Chattanooga TN.

Brittany in the Deli did everything to retrieve and confirm an order I'd placed online that wasn't at first obvious when she looked. She was kind, very pleasant and professional.

Brett in the meat department always helps me pick the best cut of filets, and if what I'm wanting isn't out, he takes the time to cut the ounce I prefer. Publix's filet mignon's are delicious.

Mark and Karl are always helpful at the customer service desk, as was Deanna and a few other associates whose names I'm having difficulty recalling at this time.

Thank you Publix team and crew for All your hard work. You are The Ones who make the difference ❤️

I don’t like being accused of stealing

I don’t like being accused of stealing. When I walked in the door the employee was standing at the self checkout looking like she was ready to pounce on someone. I told her that is how she looked and she replied” I’m just doing my job”. When I used the self check out she decided to give me a hard time because I scanned all the items in my cart before I placed them in bags. My job is to make things easy on me not your watch dog who treats customers like dogs. If she doesn’t like the way I scan things she can get off her high horse and scan my items herself. She had no right to accuse me of stealing because I didn’t scan her way. I have been shopping at Publix for over 25 years and have always been friendly and liked by staff. This lady needs some customer service training or given a job she doesn’t have to deal with the public because obviously she has an attitude problem. Every time I enter your store I usually spend between $200 and $400. If I encounter this lady again I will walk out and do my shopping elsewhere. If your store is being robbed I suggest you
Open more registers so I don’t have to scan my own items. This was one time I only went in for a few items and not my whole shopping list and I can’t believe I was harassed over a $29.31 receipt.

Their prices are way too high

Their prices are way too high. They keep raising prices over everything. They use supply chain as an excuse. Then they use tariffs. Next week, it will be something else. They are constantly raising their prices.

CHILDREN RUNNING ABOUT OVER A YR.!

I know the children are now running Publix & ever since all the Mgrs. left, about a 1 yr or so ago. My niece was a Mgr., she said everything has changed. The children are all about profit for themselves. I've noticed lately that their food in Deli is terrible, fried chicken so salty, I couldn't eat it. Since prices started coming theirs has not. Same things on sale over & over again. Watermelon cutup is not tasty, always get the rind, never the center. The only thing I like is frozen Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Breast Strips, no other store seems to sell it. I do like it well lit & wide aisle. I'm done with Publix, except I might get my RX there still & when they have Just Bare on sale. My niece worked there over 20 yrs. She didn't have anything good say about Publix now, she used to love it.

On top of The World publix store

On top of The World publix store
This is what i tried to send them on their ai complaint sight but it never went thru, another bad twist for public.

I bought Maxwell house coffee at 2 for $10. Today in the store it's up to $20 for one! No one could tell me why the price jump as there's no news on a bad coffee bean crop or disease.
And then watermelon cut up in a plastic container was a loser pick for me as it was half tasteless like pieces from the rind area! The top and bottom looked ripe n good but only those few pieces were edible!!
I'm fed up with being gouged and I don't even shop there that often because you have to be rich to the sky high overpriced groceries and products!
I bought Maxwell coffee from Amazon for $10 n free delivery!! I like fresh fruit but when half of it is inedible n has to be tossed, it's NOT bargain.
I'm buying from the local farmers from now on. Unbelievable at the price gouging at publix @ the on top of The World store. Only rich people can shop there and not care about wasting their money. Never again. Never again.

Publix is great! Get their app!

I really enjoy shopping in this grocery store. I’ve been to several locations and what’s great is that I don’t have to know where everything is in the store. I can simply use their app to locate items and I’m in and out quickly. The cashiers and other grocery store workers are always very polite and offering assistance. Always an enjoyable time here. I recommend!

Hire checkout staff that are accommodating a d customer friendly. Just had the rudest experience and older woman who refused to give us store discounts without a store card. We are only visiting here, and one much nicer woman gave us the discounts just the day before when we were there. I will never return to any of your stores.
