Publix Ain’t It

Way too expensive now. Shelves always half empty, and the deli takes forever. Used to have great service, but lately, nobody seems to care. Not worth the hassle anymore.

11oz Blueberries were buy one get one…

11oz Blueberries were buy one get one free. I went to the register to pay and they rang up at 5.99 per pack. The cashier told me the smaller container of 5oz were the BOGO. I walked to put them back and the sign read " 11oz blueberries 7.99, BOGO, so I went back and she manually keyed in 7.99. I stopped her right there and said that they originally scanned by bar code a price of 5.99 so why is she manually e tiring the price? I asked for a manager but she agreed to charge me the correct price of 5.99. This gave me actual proof that Publix purposely raised the original price of 5.99 to 7.99 to make up for the BOGO. Be aware that they increase the price on the BOGO's to keep their revenue and profit up but in all actuality, they are scamming the customers. I'm happy I saw this with my own two eyes. My date below is approximate because I don't remember the actual date but it was the last time the blueberries were bogo

Publix Store Super Market at Price…

Publix Store Super Market at Price Creek Village Center (11920 SC-707 Ste A, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 is admittedly and blatantly committing consumer fraud.

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experience at Publix Store Super Market at Price Creek Village Center (11920 SC-707 Ste A, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576), on February 21, 2025. As a resident of Prince Creek and a long-time customer who has spent over $26,578 at Publix in 2024 alone, I am appalled by the poor customer service, lack of accountability, and unacceptable behavior I encountered during my visit.

At approximately 5:40 PM, I went to self-checkout to purchase groceries, including a bottle of wine (“Honest Thief”). Before I even began scanning my items, an employee named Terri, whom I understand is hearing impaired, invaded my personal space and asked if I needed help. I politely declined.

Upon returning home, I realized I had left a bag behind at self-checkout, which included the bottle of wine. I returned to the store at 6:05 PM and went to customer service with my receipt. Without even checking, the employees claimed no bag had been left. They called down to self-checkout, where an on-duty clerk—who was rarely at the station—also said no bag had been found. When I asked for CCTV footage, I was told it was a “lengthy process.” - I purchased another bottle and left.

After confirming at home that I had indeed left the original bag behind, I returned to the store a third time at 6:25 PM and requested to see the CCTV footage. I was denied access and told the employees would review it instead. Less than five minutes later, they told me to grab another bottle, which I did. When I asked what had happened, they refused to provide an explanation.

The following morning, I spoke with a manager (Tim/Ted/Tod) who claimed he was the one who authorized the replacement bottle, and that Publix has a strict policy against theft. However, he also admitted that if a customer leaves a bag behind, they immediately restock the items and resell them. This practice is completely unacceptable—restocking and reselling paid-for goods is, in essence, theft from your customers.

Furthermore, the unprofessionalism I experienced, particularly with employee Terri, who has been problematic for years, was inexcusable. While I respect individuals with impairments, hearing loss does not justify poor customer service, disregard for personal space, or the mishandling of a customer’s paid items. The dismissive and unhelpful attitude from the store’s management only worsened the situation.

Given that Publix prides itself on exceptional customer service, this experience has been shocking and disappointing. I expect a formal response regarding this incident, including how Publix will address the issue of restocking paid items and the handling of customer complaints. If this matter is not properly addressed, I will escalate it further.

The thieves at Publix are at it again

The thieves at Publix are at it again. All the stores are decorated with loads of flowers and balloons but not a price on any of them. Why, because the prices are pure theft and these gangsters are hoping your dump enough or desperate enough to pay the outrageous prices. Kroger where are you, we need competition in Florida to put Publix out of business.

This rating is solely for one employee…

This rating is solely for one employee alone. The management and entire staff is excellent….minus Marilyn at Customer Service. Five Forks (2700) in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This gal does not smile. Is visually annoyed whenever approached. No conversation. Just a miserable person to have as the first person you see and in her position. Even her co-workers state they just do not deal with her. Publix is my goto and has been for many many years. She won’t scare me away, but someone should address her issues. Thank you. And thank you for being such a wonderful company!!!

They make this big deal about signing up for Club Perks, then occasionally, they send you a whopping $3 off your $80 purchase perk, but if you don’t use it within a week it disappears.
Are they just getting personal info on ppl for other reasons?

Almost always an excellent shopping…

Almost always an excellent shopping experience. Seemingly higher prices keep their store not clean--but polished! And staff likes working there and are plentiful, available and helpful. There are but two things Publix just, confoundingly, can't "get": a routinely inefficient deli counter (you've had a hundred years to figure it out.......!), and "special orders". Publix will special order for you any manufactured food product not normally in their stock, but you'll never get it and you'll never hear from them as to why it is not available or even an apology that they cannot access or supply it.

We purchased coconut milk and a can of tomatoes. When I came home was a mysterious merch fee. It was for a few cants, but it was added without notification or reason.

I do not like being charged without being told why or how much. For this deception I lost all trust in the store, and will never shop there again.

This store is overpriced to start with, now they insert fees without advanced warning or reason. Goodbye Publix and hello to your replacement!

I today tried the prepackaged

I today tried the prepackaged, Publix Genoa salami. Unfortunately it really didn’t taste anything like real Genoa salami. I would not buy this again. Also, Publix needs to stop raising its prices on everything. I am shopping more and more at Winn-Dixie.

The Okeechobee FL Publix Pharmacy

The Okeechobee FL Publix Pharmacy is fantastic and we want to let you be aware of this. My husband has many health issues, therefore is prescribed multiple medications. The pharmacy is always willing to assist with any questions, issues, etc that we may have even though they are extremely busy. Jo, the pharmacist is wonderful. The team she has trained is great as well. It is because of the great service at the pharmacy is the reason we do our grocery shopping with Publix. Thank you for the great service you provide for us. Please recognize Ms Jo and her team for going above and beyond for us. Thank you so much. William and Sharon Romine.

Publix on Collins Ave is probably one…

Publix on Collins Ave is probably one of the worst grocery stores in Miami. The biggest issue is the quality of the people which translates into the poor quality of the management team. I went to this store today and had to wait at least 5 minutes to check out because "Patricia" was chatting with one of the other cashiers 2 stations over. When she finally came back she was rude, extremely impolite and condescending. From now on I will shop elsewhere.

BEWARE of the fried Catfish scam

BEWARE of the fried Catfish scam. I tried it many times to see if it was a onetime mishap, but nope, this is what it is. Decent looking pieces of fried catfish filet, you buy a few pieces to find out that you just bought fried cornbread basically. I super thin catfish filet about as thin as a credit card covered with a lot of cornbread. you would be better off mixing cornbread with salt and water, then dip fry.

Just handed me the receipt. No smile. Don't hire people if they can't be nice to your customers. Store is really clean well kept. My favorite cashier is Gabriella. Super nice
