buyer beware do not use this business

Just a buyer beware. I placed an order with Purple Citrus this past March. I still have not received part of my order . They say it is on back order , the next response passing quality control, . I have sent 27 emails with no response or information . Attempted to call 3 times. I contacted the Canadian better business bureau and they could not get a response. Complete ghosting ! I have been polite and patient during this whole process , but enough is enough. Horrible customer service, do not order from them ! Any additonal thoughts on how I can get my $$ back would be greatly appreciated. BOYCOT their business ! Crooks and Thieves!

Very satisfied

placed an order in Oct. 2021, arrived 2 weeks later in perfect packaging. I suspect labor shortages in a fast turnaround biz like PC makes it hectic. Nevertheless good prices and hard-to-find items make it worthwhile IMHO.

Threatened with legal action for wanting a full refund

I had placed an order on the 23rd of September for a bulk item. It was stated that they take two weeks minimum to ship bulk items. So I waited for 8 weeks. I had not heard from them with any updates. So on the 24th of November I called to cancel my order as I waited 4 x longer then the "minimum shipping time". I called to inform them of my desire to cancel my order, I explained to the woman that I was unable to wait two months for a product that I use in business processes, and I moved onto a new product. I was informed that as per their "terms and conditions" 50% cancelation fee was applied to my order. I suggested that this was unreasonable and the woman that I spoke to was very rude about it. I offered to be reasonable to pay a 25% cancelation fee, or to pursue a chargeback through my credit card company. At which point I was threatened with legal action.

Just horrible customer service and…

Just horrible customer service and disrespect of your basic customer rights.
Business is run very unethically - Be careful before placing your order as you will have difficult time to get your money back. Plus, she will call you names on top of everything ( just crazy!). Adeline (Aileen) is absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful in every way possible. She will try to scam you off of your money regardless of her return policy posted on her website so just be warned. She will also threaten you ( as if she has such an extensive power with other distributors) that you won’t be able to order from other suppliers as per her request ( lol 😂) and will go as far as sharing your personal emails with her with others, which is illegal. There are similar filed complaints on her on BBB as well (even though the business is not BBB accredited). PS - I did manage to get my money back but it was a nightmare. There are great suppliers in surrounding areas so it is easy to avoid dealing with her.

Beware of this company

Beware of this company. I am one of many ripped off by them. I placed my order back in August and am still waiting, several weeks later, for expensive items they claimed were on backorder. They sent me the cheapest items only after I complained and asked for a refund due to waiting way too long. Asking for a refund is like asking for a root canal. You'll regret it. The way 'Adeline' manipulated the situation in our email correspondence made me feel like I was being stolen from. I've submitted a BBB complaint and don't have a lot of hope for resolution.

Poor communication, unrealiable quality and service.

Purple Citrus is "Saffire Blue" with a new look and name. There are many horror stories that are easy to find. Rebranding to avoid a poor history of customer service is not a good way to build a name. This is my review of the customer service when dealing with the people that run this company, under any name.

I generally don't write reviews, but this company is so awful, I was forced to make an exception. I have owned and operated a small handcrafted body products company for just over 5 years. My first order of supplies was from this company. Sadly due to the limited availability of products in Canada I was forced to deal with them longer than i wanted to and even that is no longer possible.

My first order, years ago, was severely delayed and when I did finally get it I had to hound them for months to get any expiry dates and batch numbers on the oils and butters I ordered (important information I need to ensure MY customers are safe and buying quality products).

After that experience I vowed only to buy packaging and non perishable items from them.

They would ship an order in parts if it was out of stock (which was never shown on the website). If you ordered something that you needed quickly and it was out of stock you had no options. I quickly learned that unless it was something that was unimportant, it was not worth ordering it from them even if it was cheaper.

Most recently and against my better judgement, I bought 4 x 4L bottles of perfumery alcohol. 3 of the 4 bottles were fine. The last was yellow and I'm not even sure if it was the product I ordered. For months I have been emailing the company and have been completely ignored.

The final straw in posting this review was reading their "Anti-Fraud & Bullying Policy" (i can not link to it in a review but you can find it easily on their site) which basically states that they provide outstanding service and anything that says otherwise is sabotage from competition. In my experience a company that has to head off criticism that proactively has a reason to do so.

Fortunately there are many companies in Canada now that provide excellent products and service. I will not name any of them here since I do not want this branded as sabotage. Save your time, money and frustration and stay away from this company.

I only order a few products from them…

I only order a few products from them cause the prices are so good compared to what I get elsewhere, however I've tried to find substitutes for all of the products as the delivery time is so slow!

I ordered some essential oils and I got it approximately 8 weeks later.

I have received each of the two orders I've placed, but it's VERY delayed, so only order if you can really wait that long. I'm never confident I'm actually going to get the product so it's a bit of a risk.

As previous comment stated this Co. is formerly Saffire Blue ..STAY AWAY and order elsewhere. Ordered black gloss lids that were shipped loose in bottom of box and all were scratched. When they did not respond to my numerous emails and phone calls I got PayPal involved. It was only at that point they replied. They stated they would replace the lids, but when I asked as to when I could expect there was no reply so I escalated my claim. PayPal refunded me as they could not even bother replying back to PayPal. If I could have rated 0 stars I would have. Worst customer service ever which is a shame because they do have a good assortment and reasonable prices. But don’t be swayed, customer service goes a long way in my books.

Don't bother!
I used Purple Citrus (formerly Saffire Blue) for the first time on 30th April 2019. My order was dispatched on 28 MAY!! That's a full 4 weeks from ordering. Totally unacceptable, go elsewhere people. There are lots to choose from:
new directions aromatics
voyager soap and candle
oshun supply
I now get my bottles from Consolidated Bottle in Montreal
Dont accept this level of service from Purple Citrus.
