I am very pleased with the dealings I have had. I mistakenly booked the wrong date for a Thomas the Tank experience for my grandson and they changed the date for me without question. Very satisfied.

Daylight robbery

I have booked tickets to Thomas the Tank Engine event at Buckinghamshire Railway. I could not attend due to a illness in the family. I have purchased ticket insurance via refund my ticket. They won't refund or change the date. The invoice doesn't show insurance theu said it happens often that invoice doesn't show. When I asked for a copy of the booking confirmation to show i purchased insurance They won't respond. Daylight robbery pure and simple

Paid them £110 for tickets

Paid them £110 for tickets , found out event has been cancelled, tried to claim refund but was told they can’t refund me, so now I’m £110 out of pocket but quay tickets are happy because they have my money , their website says secure ticketing but only secure for them and not for me the customer

Ticket insurance scam

Ticket insurance scam
Don't bother insuring your tickets with these guys, it's effectively a scam/fraud.
Booked a train ride on ELR over the Christmas week for DS and myself and insured the tickets. Unfortunately he contracted a virus and was far too ill to go anywhere over Christmas with all food etc. thrown out, effectively Christmas was written off. Contacted the insurance company and explained the situation have spent 2 weeks going backward and forward providing various bits of paperwork they were requesting, even down to having to request a VAT receipt from QT to send on to them. This evening, I have again had another demand stating that a Doctors note (£25), hospital admission/discharge letter, or sick note are provided or I get my GP to fill in their form (again £25). As this was just supposed to me a Christmas treat for my son and I the two tickets don't amount to much more than £25. The amount of badgering for paperwork not available in the case of the majority of childrens illness effectively makes it a scam/fraud as even with the Doctors Note there is no guarantee that they would honour the insurance on the tickets. Utterly disgusted with this sham of a company.

Would leave a one star if possible. Please be aware that they can ring you 7 months after you booked tickets and say they need to move you, some idiot who didn’t leave their name or number but asked me to call them back!!!! Not impressed at all!!!!

Don't book the Lowry!

I would strongly suggest not ever booking to see anything here-the mean and obstructive bar stewards refuse all refunds, even if you give them several.months notice. The usual automatons at the other end will just tell you that it's 'Policy', but won't give you a viable reason why, on request. What a load of crap!

Tried to book train tickets for the…

Tried to book train tickets for the East Lancashire Railway.
Spoke to a very rude and disinterested man who hemmed, hawed and sighed throughout our exchange. (He seemed unaware that these speech intonations were auditable to me via his headset).
He booked the seats on the train at a price of £56:75; £20:00 x 2 for two adults, £15:50 for a child and £1:25 booking fee.
He then asked for my contact details which I gave him.
He then asked for my card number.
At that point I asked him to tell me which seats he had booked and he said that that information would be on my tickets!
So I asked him again to tell me the seat numbers.
He reluctantly gave me the seat numbers but I could only identify 2 of the seats he had booked and when I asked him where the other seat was situated he was very impatient, (I wanted to ensure that we were sitting together) as a family. - I still couldn't identify the location of the third seat.
I asked him again for the total to pay and he said £57:50. When I said that he had previously said that the total was £56:75 he snapped, "That's the booking fee!" I don't know where he was getting the extra £0:75 from.
At this point I told him I would leave it.
I found this man's behaviour very intimidating.

Don't usually write reviews, but I had an issue with some tickets for a show at the Lowry and the customer service from Quay Tickets was excellent! So just wanted to say thank you!

No bday clink for two

Booking, payment and receipt with Quaytickets was all so efficient
Excited for the eve as rarely i go out in any way, so waa a super treat.
Event was at Stockport Plaza, a first for me, was no parking nearby sadly so a lot of driving about then a long walk, my bad for not doing some extra homework, but certainly wasnt letting that be a negative on such a wonderful eve.
Anyways, i had a pre-paid ticket email, with two glasses of champagne on arrival expected for myself and my friend as is both our birthdays. The bar staff refused and asked me to show my details of the email, and even though it lists payment and invoiced pre-drinks and event, it wasnt enough without additional code i hadnt received. My anxiety had already kicked in more than id of liked, so to try and not feel so disapointed, just left upstairs for the show. I will be aware of this in future. Another customer in there told me that she had the same issue using this service, and only goes directly now.
“Whats love got to do with it”.. band and singer was incredible..

Never had any problems

I’ve never had any problems with Quaytickets and I go to the Lowry all the time (I live down the round). Really enjoy the shows and normally fair prices.

Appalling organisation

Appalling organisation. Got to our event and the place had no record of our booking. Luckily one of the staff knew about the company and said they had been asking for their booking names to be sent over. Very embarrassing and awkward. No response to my complaints. DO NOT USE

Not really the ticket booking agency fault is it?

Strikes me that a lot of the complaining going on here is not the fault directly of the ticket booking company but the venue itself. I have used Quy toickets several times and they do what it says on the tin. Sell you a ticket. No real effort as they email it as authority to you so you get it within 10 minutes max. I had issue with one planned event I was unable to attend, let them know. They contatcted the venue, got a refund / option to swap which was better than I expected. How can that be bad. Will certailny use again!

Dining with NO Distinction!!!

Booked a steam train afternoon tea for my mother in laws 79th birthday - NEVER again!!!.
Received an email on the morning to say the trip would be half an hour longer - great!! Or not. Turns out it was shorted than we paid for as the train was delayed at a station so they took the short route home!!! The sandwiches were going stale and the cakes were so under-baked they were soggy in the middle. A shockingly expensive experience 3 finger sandwiches, some cake batter and a look at some trees!!! When I emailed to complain I was told that as I didn't complain on the day then there was nothing they were going to do. As I pointed out, it was a birthday celebration with food that was pre-prepared!! So rude!!!!

Had tickets booked for Sarah Millican…

Had tickets booked for Sarah Millican which had already been postponed. Both my wife and I were looking forward to it but then sadly contracted covid and were both quite ill. On contacting Quaytickets they said it was too close to the performance and no refunds would be given. I find this disgusting when you genuinely can't attend because of covid and being bed bound. Another caring and compassionate organisation that has been added to my blacklist.

WARNING - DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

Booked tickets to take my son on the Thomas train, along with tickets (massively overpriced) I paid £29.99 for a set of Thomas toys for my 4 year old.

Staff at the event didn't know how I could go about getting the toys. So far I have emailed twice about them. Yesterday the cheapest wooden Thomas toy arrived in the post. I cannot believe I paid £29.99 for this! I will NEVER book with these again.

Tickets not sent, no ticket no show!

The show I booked for was cancelled understandably on several occasions. Was sent the original tickets though. I actually forgot the date as it was a year later then the last cancellation. (22 months after the original date) Was advised would send tickets nearer the time. A week before it came up on my calender show next week. Noticed no tickets. Emailed no reply. Emailed again 3 days ago, still no reply. I work during the day for the NHS, so can't ring then come home to 3 kids. Tried ringing, was on hold then had to put the phone down. Now the night of the show and still no tickets. Waste of time. Better get a refund when they eventually respond to my email!
