RaceChip Chiptuning Reviews 

I installed the RaceChip S on my Mk6 VW Jetta 1.8. After 3 months I decided to take it out. First off, there was no fuel mileage gain at all, in fact my average MPG dropped from 16.6 city to 15.2 city. Second, when set at 4 and 5, the engine would have misses and send traction control and tire pressure codes every so often. When set a 3 and lower, these issues did not come up.

So basically, I was not able to fully enjoy the 30+ hp gain or the 15% mpg gain claim either and I guess I was "satisfied in the first place" according to RaceChip. (see RaceChip reply below)

All I know is that after a few months driving with the chip installed, I got tired of the glitches and no improvement in MPG and uninstalled it. So NOW I'm not satisfied, and I would not recommend RaceChip.

As per other reviews, the fact you can not have the chip reprogrammed after 2 years is not made very clear at the time of sale, pretty sure my chip has the same internals as one someone bought today so the excuse that they may be different is just a ploy to get the consumer to fork out more money when any good business would at least check your serial number to see if it is possible to reprogram rather than just blank deny, these guys are losing out on sales and future custom as I would have paid to have it reprogrammed even though was originally told for the original price it came with one free reprogramming

Do not buy this chip, if you change your vehicle after 2 years they WILL NOT reprogram your chip, so £500 down the drain

I purchased the RaceChip chip tuning for my Land Rover 2.0 2016 automatic transmission,less than two years ago, hoping for improved fuel consumption and power. Unfortunately, I haven't seen significant enhancements, and lately, I've noticed a decline in performance. However, I remain hopeful that RaceChip will address these issues and provide an update. While the videos on YouTube showcase its potential, my experience urges me to seek improvements for a more satisfying investment.

Just installed the GTS black race chip on a Mercedes A45S W177 the installation manual said it was difficult but made it look a lot easier than it was sensor A was extremely hard to get to and can not be reach doing the steps they show in the instructions but after a few choice words and abit of persistence I did it and OMG the difference is unreal I was dubious that a race chip could create nearly 500bhp when a stage 2 remap with hardware installed doesn’t produce those figures but trust me this thing is a animal id like to get it on a dyno to see what it is running but trust me they do work if installed correctly and the gains are huge

Products are reliable. Fast and open Team in solving any issues/questions. Trustworthy. Satisfied.

I really hope anyone who reads this is able to take a good decision.
The product is a scam, does not produce any extra power at all, manipulates very simple parameters which do not impact performance in a meaningful way. Their claim of 40% is a total joke.
I spent a day and a tank of gas trying to sort the performance out, 4 updates, 20 emails and after the car going into limp mode 10 times, I threw in the towel.
Stay clear from these gimmicks, 400 Euro paper weight. Disgusting that they can actually sell stuff like this.

Absolutely Disgusting Company to deal with.

I Purchased their top level package for my Range Rover Sport in 2021 and after months of back and forth finally got it working after wrecking the locking mechanism on my Bonnet Lock as I had to lock it over while it was up to install.

Sold this car and wanted to utilise their 24month reprogramming service and they said it was outside of the 2 years of purchase time limit.

Rubbish, they are just trying to rip more money.

Not only did they said they would not do it, they did not even offer a paid service for reprogramming they simply wanted me to spend another 850 Euro

Amazing experience, I had a problem ordering the race chip and was quickly handled. Haven't installed it yet, but so far a great experience. Keep it up 👍

Racechip delivered fast and Communication was very good.
We haven´t built in the chip, so we can´t comment on function

I was very sceptical about this product but I have fitted the basic RaceChip 'S' (delivered from Germany) to my 2015 KIA Proceed GT...and yes! They work. It's not been dyno tested but blimey the improvement in performance is very noticeable. Turbo kicks in earlier, more power/torque (claimed +33HP/77NM) and fuel consumption is slightly better but I'm only a week or so in using it. Easy to fit and no warning lights or issues. I'm on setting 4/5 which is manually done on the 'S' version so I might go up to 5 once my ECU has adapted. These only alter turbo boost pressure and injection and timing within safe limits so the factory ECU stays standard but just adapts to what signals the RaceChip intercepts and adjusts. Tailored for your car and the instructions/connectors are spot on. 👍

I’ve had 2 Racechips, one for my C43 and the other for my C63s. Couldn’t be more happier with the results for both. The amount of power it added to my C63s was insane and frightening at first. The extra boost it provides makes the car feel like a rocket ship.

Customer service it seems is non existent. Tried to contact them for a replacement wiring harness. No response. If you need CS or follow up. Good luck. Company says they sent me an email 10 hrs later. No email found. This is false. They never contacted me, until I submitted this review with trustpilot. I have received a new wiring harness, that I paid $80 for, after their first one disintegrated after one year. We shall see if this one is not so cheap and will last. This is the truth and hope they provide better CS in the future.

Not sure about the quality itself but customer service is bad not sure if they read e-mails and just ignore them or they don't even bother to read the emails

This is an excellent product, easy to fit if you are mechanically DIY and makes a complete difference to the car. Instant change in power and fuel economy is amazing.

Great experience with the product AND the customer support.

I made a mistake in the model I ordered, they immediately sent a new one for free. Got difficulties to install it, they spent times with me to explain everything. Very unusual to see a costumer support that efficient.
