Ordered Black Heritage cast iron guttering & downpipes for the front of our house. Kelly helped give advice on accessories needed & anything I might have missed from photos of existing guttering/pipes.

The courier company were DX and the larger pipes/gutters were delivered on pallets, covered in plastic and strapped securely to the pallet. Smaller accessories in plastic & boxed. All were fine & in good condition.

Provide PDF guidelines for installation on their web page. I found my own installer who managed to put up quite easily. Received within one week.

We returned a cast iron pipe in the original packaging. During its return journey it was broken by the courier company and rainwaterdirect told us that they would speak to the courier company.
What they actually did was package up the fragments and get the courier company to come back to them and returned the smashed bits to us …….with the courier charging the return journey to our credit card. Another £30. The courier tells us that if the company refuses to accept a package then the courier will always return it to the sender. However in this case rainwaterdirect did accept the parcel and then returned it to us. As they had promised to intervene with the courier we had trusted that indeed they would.
Our trust was misplaced.
Why would any company return a smashed pipe to you at your expense? It was in the original packaging. The courier refuse to pay out on their insurance as they deemed the packaging to be ‘inadequate’.
You can’t win.
Use another company.
