Edit: Sadly the company does not value the loyal customers much. They do not answer e-mails on time and do not pay much attention to the conditions of purchase you made in the past. Interestingly I got much more care in my previous purchases. Don't expect much customer care after your first couple purchases. My previous comment stays the same. I purchased 3 RAV Vast drums for myself and for my 9 yo son, from the company so far. The first one was B Kurd, then A Marmara and finally a few weeks ago I got my B Major. At every new purchase I fell more in love with the scales and acoustic of the drum. My 9 year old son has absolute pitch and he's the one who judges how perfectly the drums are made. For each drum he can find out the special tuning of the notes and explains in what way the drum is adjusted. The company doesn't only tune the scales just to have the notes. But with their micro tuning capability and special khz adjustments they add warmth, epicness, romance, melancholy or other feelings as the drum requires. So If you buy a handpan or tongue drum elsewhere usually you hear the same sound if the scales are the same. But with Rav Vast you hear something so special that you can't get elsewhere. Whenever someone visits us and sees our drum collection immediately they focus on the RAV section and want to listen to the various RAVs we have. The sustain they have at their drums is unbeatable up to 30 seconds of a tap you can still hear the magical sound. If you're new to such drums I definitely recommend you to go buy Rav Vast first.

I recently splurged and ordered my first tongue drum, aRAV moon A maj / F# min aruimi. I took quite a while pondering which to choose, and then a sale convinced me to pull the trigger. My goal was to find a scale that would allow me to provide a wash behind some of the songs in our worship at church. The limitations of the scale and the learning curve have led to a slow start, but for the 2 songs we've used it for, it has been perfect. The blooming sustain and the contemplative feel of the scale have fit the bill well. What is more, I find it very easy to sit with and soak in the sound bath it creates.

The only downside is really the price. It led me to put off my purchase longer than I would have otherwise, and while I am fully pleased with my purchase, it will be a long my time before I feel the need to buy a second RAV.

I bought the Rav Vast B RUS and absolutely in love with it! Not only its an amazing instrument, most importantly the customer service was extremely efficient, reliable and friendly. It was a great experience!

The drums are probably amazing I'll give them that.

However, the customer service once they have your payment is HORRIBLE. They lie and ghost you when you have an issue.

The drum took almost 3 weeks to arrive and I was told it would be 3 days upon ordering. I was traveling and leaving the shipping address before it was due to arrive and Olga promised me she would cancel my order and give me a refund. She never canceled it and then would not respond to my messages.

My drum was delivered super late and due to the fact that it was not my permeant residence and I was traveling, the drum was delivered AFTER I had left the shipping address, and I was unable to retrieve it. Olga promised me she would cancel the order and refund me before it would ship and she didn't.

It was lost. I sent countless messages to all the contact info I could find on the website with ZERO response. I was devastated as I have been saving for years for this drum and was treated horribly once they had my $1000 dollars.

I DO NOT recommend this company at all. Buyer please beware. Worst customer service ever once they have your money.

I love my Rav Vast drums. Their sound is rich, soothing, and resonant, offering endless possibilities for improvisation, creating music, or even discovering the music within you for the first time. These drums can help anyone unlock or evolve their musical potential, whether focused on serious music or spontaneous improvisation. Either way, they bring unmatched joy—guaranteed.

I currently play the Rav Vast Moon F#m A-Ariumi and the Rav Vast B Major Indigo drums, and the way the notes flow together sparks even more creativity in me. They’ll do the same for you, as long as you’re determined to make serious music with them and explore and play however you wish.

My Rav Vast drums have elevated my musical game, allowing me to start creating meaningful pieces that will resonate with others.

In addition to being a creative tool, these Rav Vast drums are perfect for meditation, mindfulness, and more. Their calming and resonant tones make them ideal for reflection and inner peace.

The drums are solidly built, designed to last, and are a great investment for players of any skill level. They do not require tuning unless mishandled or not properly cared for, which is why I chose them over handpans. Tuning can be expensive, but with Rav Vast drums, you can enjoy a handpan-like experience without the extra cost of tuning. Their exceptional build quality, combined with a sound that’s both calming and dynamic, makes them perfect for personal practice or live performance.

I also want to commend the Rav Vast team for their excellent customer service, based in the USA. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions. I highly recommend the Rav Vast team, along with the Rav Vast Moon F#m A-Ariumi and Rav Vast B Major Indigo drums, to anyone seeking high-quality, inspiring instruments that are undoubtedly serious and exceptional.

This is my first honest review, based on my personal experience with my new drums. Get the one you like, and if you don’t love it, return it. But I doubt you will after experiencing the drums for yourself.

This is my final review. After consistently exploring and playing both the Rav Vast F# Minor A-Ariumi and the B Major Indigo for several weeks, I’ve come to appreciate the distinct voices and strengths each instrument brings.

The F# Minor A-Ariumi truly shines in slow to mid-tempo compositions and improvisations, with its long sustain and rich, meditative tone making it ideal for ambient, emotional, mindfulness, and introspective music—where each note has time to breathe and resonate. While faster rhythmic playing is possible with proper muting and striking techniques, its natural voice thrives in spacious, soulful soundscapes. Tapping sounds may occur when attempting fast-paced pieces without advanced technique, which can disrupt a composition’s flow.

On the other hand, the B Major Indigo definitely offers a brighter, more uplifting tone that encourages playful, melodic expression. It also shines in slow to mid-tempo compositions and improvisations but handles faster tempos more comfortably, thanks to its balanced tuning and clearer articulation. It’s great for joyful, flowing pieces and more rhythmic playing.

In general, both drums are great for free playing when you want to relax without needing extensive musical knowledge. However, they will challenge beginners and push any player’s creativity when it comes to composing more unique, coherent musical pieces. With time, consistency, patience and serious dedication, it seems that this challenge can certainly be overcome if your ultimate goal is to improve your drumming skills and create beautiful music. If you already have experience with other instruments, general musical knowledge, and percussion skills, you'll be able to hit the ground running and quickly produce music you never expected to create with the Rav Vast drums.

By the way, if the drums get a little cold, they temporarily seem to lose some of their sustain and warmth, but the resonance returns once it reaches a normal temperature. Make sure your hands are warm too, as cold fingers seem to affect the sound. Also, be sure to read the manual that comes with your Rav Vast drum to learn how to properly care for it.

I recommend taking the time to listen to all the drums the company offers for sale before purchasing the one you want.

Such a beautiful instrument! And I experienced great customer service when pre-ordering a drum that had been sold out. Slava was communicative and helpful as I eagerly awaited my drum to come back in stock. And it was worth the wait :)

5 star for Slava who helped me through all thr process of purchasing my drum. He was quick to answer, very nice and efficient even after the payment (that does not always happen with online shopping!)
5/5 for thr drum. Just an amazing sound, loved it right away.
3/5 for clarity on shipping fees. If no one guides you, it's really hard to know what to expect and it can be a bad surprise so check, ask and check again.

They do not provide any information about the customs fees, which are extremely high because they ship products from Russia. Shameful.

Love my E Low Pygmy Rav Vast. I got it so I could play duets with my Kosmosky New Wave, but the Rav Vast is now my favorite instrument. I love playing it with mallets and especially like the really low E note that sounds like a gong. The instrument is very relaxing. Olga was very helpful answering my questions when I was trying to decide on a scale.

It took me months to choose a scale. I got a lot of help on the online chat and loved the virtual player on their website. I live in mexico and got my Rav delivered to my brother's place in California, when I finally got to play it I was really impressed. Ended up getting the 432hz A integral scale and I'm integrating it in my sound healing practice. Was a little concerned about bringing it back on board the plane but had no problem at all, carried it in it's bag. These instruments are magical.

I’ve been looking at Rav Vast drums for years but never thought I was in a personal position to buy one. Finally the time felt right and I looked at the Rav Vast website again to learn they now have smaller variants called Rav Moon. I felt this is perfect. The original model felt it would be very large. I chose the universal scale since I found myself playing with the little MIDI app on the product page the most.

On the day that I bought it I received a message on Whatsapp from Slava, a customer service representative from Rav. Saying I overpaid and delivery should be free. There were some delays in manufacturing and delivery but Slava was friendly and personable, he guided and supported through the process very well!

I ordered my drum on the 9th of October, it arrived to my house in Spain on the 9th of November. Do be aware that there is a substantial customs tax for receiving the drum. Roughly 200 euro.

Hi! My Rav Drum journey started last year with my first drum, their A Integral. I'm a classically trained vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, but this was my first hand drum. I was immediately taken with by its sound; tranquility, inspiration, calm, serenity are a few words that come to mind.

Over the next year, I accumulated a few different scales, and their new instrument, the Rav Moon. The sound of the Rav instruments is really beyond compare to others in their family of instruments. While it may trace its lineage to the Hang, in my opinion, the Rav Vast's sound is in a category of its own. It is a great instrument and, to my surprise, a great tool to expand one's intuitive understanding of music.

I use them during guided meditation, while facilitating sound journeys, with my band, in the morning when I wake up, on my lunch breaks at work, and at night before bed 😅 .. ..pretty much all day.

They are very beginner friendly too, even if you're not a musician at all.

They are sturdy, beautiful, and more affordable than most handpans or Hangs.
They also offer more scales than any other handpan maker.

They stand behind their instruments too. Any issues I have had have been resolved 100%. They are an international company but they have provided better customer support than some companies that are based in the States. If you are having any issues with your instrument, they are there to help. Most people never have any issues with their Rav, but I had an issue with an instrument that was damaged during shipping. They replaced it for me, free of charge. I just sent the damaged one back and they reimbursed me for the shipping.

If you're thinking about getting a Rav, I say check them out!! I recommend them to anyone from musicians, to sound healers or to just someone who wants to relax and unwind. Worth the investment. They have improved my ear, my sense of rhythm, and my musicianship just from playing them. 10/10 🙏🙌👍

Thanks to the company (especially Olga), I received the beautiful instrument in F-Astronaut tuning. All communication was uncomplicated and solution-oriented in a friendly and courteous way. Shipping to Germany took just 2 days (from Friday over the weekend to Monday morning). Thumbs up, I never expected that. The instrument itself is the gold one, which has the new coating with less clicky- sound, more muted in between the notes, which is what I wanted. When you play the first note and let it fade away, immediately you feel calm and relaxed. The mystical and dark key invites you to keep playing and dreaming. Even without previous knowledge, you can achieve initial success by using the scale. Enough raving, this company is absolutely recommendable. If I buy another tongue drum, it will be a RAV VAST again.

I absolutely love my RAV drums. I first encountered the instrument at a sound bath and my spirit shot up to identify "what is making that sound???"

I now own a D major and F Astronaut RAV drum and they are such perfect complimentary drums. The D major is cheery and bright, the F Astronaut is more mysterious, a bit darker... It asks a different question.

I have been a musician for most of my life in the context of a bass guitar and later acoustic guitar - my practice waned for various reasons as life filled itself and my responsibilities led me elsewhere. Purchasing a RAV drum has helped me have an instrument that is so easy to pick up and play, with so little MAINTENANCE! It is nothing like a guitar, it is so much simpler and it is so much easier to relax into! The possibility of "hitting a wrong note" is massively reduced, leading me to have a much more 'stress-free' intuitive playing style, which is a whole different experience.

RAV drums have brought music back into my life and I feel the joy of being musically creative again! My friends who I play for, even my humble first songs that have come through, all ask the same question: "Will you be recording these?"
The answer is yes! What a beautiful sound to provide for others, and a profound experience on my part to be the medium that allows the music to come through.

The drums come packaged in very secure boxes, and shipping was fast as well to my location in Minnesota. The customer service team has an obvious passion for what they do, all my questions were answered and more.

I want to take a moment to highlight how easy it is to own one of these - your RAV drum isn't a handpan. Which means - you never need to get it tuned. It's set as it is, barring any accidents that happen on your part (drops or leaving it in extreme temperatures). Another helpful consideration is that RAV drums have a wonderful sustain to their notes that handpans do not - you almost need to be hitting a lot of stuff for handpans to be 'on' and sounding right. RAV drums can really give space in those notes to express something through how long the notes are held. There's reasons to choose a RAV over a handpan beyond the price tag!

If you have been interested in a RAV drum but are afraid of the sticker shock, you owe it to yourself to order one, try it out, and return it. The company has awesome return policies, and even a scale exchange program, which is how I ended up with my D major drum. If it doesn't feel right, you can exchange it for another.

I feel so lucky to own one of these! They are beautiful instruments that will make your home look cooler even when you aren't playing them. They help the energy of the space even when silent, like a really well made guitar.

You can get a really good feel for which drum you would be interested in through their online virtual RAV player. Play some notes and see which drums are set to have a conversation with you. It's a good starting point, but trust me, they will sound even better in person! Then ask the team if there's any potential sales coming up anytime in the near future for the drum that speaks to you ;)
