Reading Buddy Software 

Reading Buddy Software helped our daughter make huge strides in her reading fluency and comprehension. At the beginning of 3rd grade she was at the bottom of the reading groups and well behind the "average" student in her grade. Reading Buddy really made a huge difference in both fluency and comprehension. She really enjoyed reading on the computer and having the computer correct her instead of having her parents watch her read and attempt to correct her in a timely fashion. Also with Reading Buddy only accepting one word at a time, it taught her to slow down and pronounce every word which in turn helped her read faster and comprehend the text she was reading.

Definitely helped my 8 year old become more confident in reading and with comprehension. She has a true love for reading now. I cannot reccommend them enough.

Awesome program. It’s really working and it’s way more affordable than our tutor. All 3 kids use it and love it.

This program has been so incredibly life changing. I was at my wits end and thought there was no hope. Homework time is a now a breeze and we all look forward to it!! I recommend this software to everyone I know. Thank you!!

I just started this program with my kids today and I am so excited how they are reacting to it. It will be interesting on how much of an impact this program will make.

I would like to comment that if the program is anything like the Customer Service for Reading Buddy Software, it will be amazing! Christina has been so helpful to get us up and running today. So far, I am a very happy customer.

The program fails to load properly some of the time, locks up my computer, and crashes. This program is poorly coded. Was never able to get the program to work effectively for my grandson to use. I have cancelled my subscription and am trying to get my money back.

Updated 3 Sept 2017: After writing this review, the Reading Buddy people called me at work to get me to retract this review. They refused to refund my the money for my purchase is I did not retract the review. I got my money back from my credit card company. I will not be doing business with this company ever again. Also, my home computer far exceeds the specs for their software. I have a six core processor with 16 gb RAM running windows 10. If my machine can't run their software 90% of the home computers won't be able to run it. Hope this helps..

My grandson was struggling with almost every subject with very low reading scores. Once he began to enjoy Reading Buddy his grades improved greatly. We feel that this program has not only improved his reading skills, but also has given him better comprehension in the other classes because of those improved skills.
In this day of electronics, you have opened a door that leads back to the basic skill of actual reading and comprehending the printed word. For that you are to be congratulated!

We tried a number of reading programs, but the one that actually worked for us was Reading Buddy. My child went from fluency and tracking problems, frustration, and comprehension issues to excitement about finishing a book. I highly recommend it!

I used Reading Buddy for my six year old son who was getting frustrated trying to read to us parents at home. He enjoyed the experience of reading out loud but without concerns of being corrected by an actual human. His reading ability, confidence and fluency did seem to improve considerably during the time he was using the product. The company was responsive to any issues.

We used this program to help our 4th grader grow in her reading fluency. My only reservation was that I wished I had found this program sooner. My daughter grew from being below her grade level in reading at the beginning of the year to meeting her grade reading level at the beginning of Spring semester. She now loves to read and has so much more confidence in herself and her abilities. Her teacher is impressed as well and plans to suggest reading buddy as an option to her future students. Love this program and well worth the money!

Reading Buddy helped my daughter's reading level improve over the course of a couple months. She did get frustrated with the software from time to time (making her repeat words which she had actually read correctly). In a perfect world that wouldn't happen, but any voice recognition software will err, and Reading Buddy did well overall. Being able to set rewards and change levels for her was really helpful in motivating her.

My 8-year-old son was behind his grade level for reading. For whatever reason, he didn't qualify for the Title 1 reading program through his school. Unfortunately, with our schedules my husband and I don't have a lot of extra time to sit down and practice with our son. Yes, we read nightly but he needed more practice. We gave Reading Buddy a shot and within 3 months he caught up to his grade level. We're so proud of his accomplishments and thankful for the help Reading Buddy provided us.

My daughter was in the lowest reading group at school. Her problem was that she read so fast so would skip words or substitute them. Reading Buddy made her slow down and by doing so, she has moved up two reading groups. It definitely works!

My child would NEVER sit and read the same selection 3 times, for me or her dad, and she hates to be corrected when she misses a word. But she does not mind these things at all with Reading Buddy. We love it! She chooses her own selections to read, and seems to actually enjoy most of them.

My daughter was recently diagnosed with dyslexia & Reading Buddy gives her the extra reading practice she needs with added support and no added pressures of having to read to someone. Reading Buddy’s interactive design allows her to improve her word recognition, fluency as well as comprehension. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to incorporate additional guided reading in their child’s day. It is a great program!
