Insured Value issue
I ordered goods to the value of less than 50 Euro and UK customs are wanting me to pay £53 for Import VAT ??? I am not happy paying over double for these few items and on querying this it seems that RealDutchFood declared an Insured Value of 500Euro instead of 50Euro. The UK customs obviously base their VAT calculation on the declared value hence the excessive charges. It would be cheaper for me to fly to Schiphol and buy the goods in Holland.

This review is nonsense. All orders and customs forms are made fully automatically based on the placed order. If you have €50, this amount will also automatically appear on the customs declaration, no human hand is involved and therefore €500 can never appear on the customs declaration. If this is the case, we would like to see proof of this.
