Red River Children's Ski School is a waste

I enrolled my grandson in the ski school to the tune of $250.00 for a day. It was expensive day care. His instructor, Brian, spent the day talking to the students as they learned to stand still on their skis. Very little actual skiiing, no time on the lift, etc. He learned to snowplow (thanks!) and to "french fry" his skis. They rode the short conveyer lift only. No time spend on turning, stopping, or really much skiing. He is 8, a perfect age for moving along. His grandfather and dad will take up the training today and hopefully he will learn to love skiing. When we picked him up and asked how he was, he said, "Miserable." I think bored was more like it. When queried, Brian stated that it would be at least lesson 3 before they got on a lift. IN contrast, 30 + years ago, his dad was on a lift before noon in lessons at another resort.
