Faultless customer care

I frequently visit Denmark St. and always include Regent Sounds in my itinerary. I've never bought a 'big ticket' item, just strings and accessories. I called in on Monday 17th November to get some 'flatwound' strings, which are a little 'niche' in nature, but quite pricey as guitar strings go. I couldn't get the gauge in the brand I normally buy, but the assistant was genuinely helpful and clearly knew his stuff. I really could not have received a great deal more customer care had I been buying one of their five-figure vintage instruments. Bravo Regent Sounds - the refurbishment makes the place feel far less cluttered and wish it continued success in a world where online sales have driven several 'brick and mortar businesses out of existence.

I bought a Auden Emily Rose guitar, which are quite hard to find, so lucky they stock them here. No pressure to buy and a pleasure to deal with every step of the process. Couldn't ask for more.
Denmark Street is the best street in London for Guitars and Regent Sounds is up there with the best

Awful customer service. Avoid!

There is such a rude man that works at this shop!! My son and I went in to buy some guitar strings. He is autistic and really struggles with social anxiety and couldn't get his words out and the man behind the counter (an older man with a small tattoo on his neck or face I think) told him to use his words, rolled his eyes and moved on to the next customer. To say I am fuming is an understatement!!! I have used this store a couple of times, always found it OK and even bought one of my son's guitars from here. This happened on Saturday 8th November between approximately 6pm and 6.30pm. I will NEVER use this shop again. How dare he treat him like that!

Great shop and staff

Got back in to playing guitar after a 20-year break and went in to Regent Sounds after having done some research to get some advice and get some gear.

Nick in the shop was super helpful, steered me towards an amp I wasn't considering but actually better suited want I wanted it for and was cheaper, and they had a telecaster in stock in a colour I couldn't find online that I snapped up.

After researching online for ages, it was really useful to go talk to someone who knew their stuff and see a bunch of stuff in the flesh. Will be back for my next guitar.

Excellent service

The overall experience of this shop was exceptional, the staff are very warm & welcoming. Me and my teen daughter visited a few shops on Denmark street, my daughter was nervous to try the bass in the other shops, staff were not very approachable and friendly, however once we stepped in regent sounds the staff where approachable, friendly and knowledgeable, my daughter felt comfortable to try out the basses, we left with a bass for her and an electric guitar for me, thank you so much for your support guys your amazing!!!!

Rude and unprofessional staff. Do yourself a favour and go to one of the much better shops on Denmark Street.

I accompanied a friend into this shop today as she was interested in buying an instrument suitable for a beginner. Having spotted a cheap Squier Telecaster, she picked it up to have a closer look. Immediately, a member of staff chastised her loudly for doing so and snatched the guitar from her hands. As you would expect, we were both shocked and offended by his rude behaviour. In all the forty years I've been playing and buying guitars, I have never witnessed such an absurd and unprofessional overreaction to someone simply picking up an inexpensive instrument in a shop. Suffice to say, we will be taking our custom to one of the other, far more friendly shops in Denmark Street.

The nicest most chilled staff ou know how guitar store "experts" can…

You know how guitar store "experts" can sometimes be a bit patronising and assume you haven't a clue, well NOT these guys. They are so chilled, friendly and helpful.
I almost only go in for my supply of pics and strings...cheaper online but I want to support the real stores...today my daughter said she could make a necklace if I got her a few.
The chap there went and got a jar of assorted picks and said "here take some of these". For free! My little girl was so thrilled.
Such nice people there. Makes it a pleasure. If I buy another instrument it'll likely be from them.

Just not able to do basic repairs

I've taken my guitar in 3 times now in the last few months to have a pickup fixed. It works for about 24 hours then stops working again. The last time I took it back, I decided to have a full setup as well. The pickup still doesn't work and now my Fender sounds really buzzy after the setup. It is under warranty but I have to travel so far to get it fixed and it takes so long, I just have to realise they are not capable of these basic repairs. There are plenty of other repair services along Denmark street. Would be worth a try before coming here.

It is incredibly disappointing to read this review as we go to great lengths to make sure our customers are happy with any work we do on their guitars. I can assure you that if you had reached out to me, I would have sorted out any issues you were having and refunded you what you paid for the work as well as for any additional costs incurred as a result. As I cannot find any email or message from you and it's also the first the shop manager has heard of the problem, I can only assume that you did not reach out to either myself or the management, as we would have helped you resolve the issue quickly. 
We ask all our customers to test their guitar's setup before they leave the shop to make sure they are really happy with it and then ask them to live with it in case any further adjustments are required. - As obviously shifts and changes can happen after work, due to transit, temperature changes and other factors. All our new guitars come with five years of free servicing and we warranty any paid work we do. 
Unfortunately we cannot help our location and that you live far away from us but as I have said, if I had known you had to return several times, I would have reimbursed you for any travel costs you had incurred. 
I am very sorry that you feel so aggrieved as to leave us a two star review as I feel this is a problem we could have easily resolved had we known about it.

Best Guitar shop in London

When I first discovered Regent
Sounds of Denmark street, i was instantly inspired by their boutique guitar choices on display; dazzling, sparkling Telecasters, glimmering Gretsch’s, and some beautiful
acoustic choices as well-

I special ordered a Telecaster; when
it arrived, the guys were great about keeping me posted as to its arrival via email-

Every guitar you buy, comes with free maintenance and set up for 3 years!
This provides a huge savings for the years to come: an excellent value!

Crispin and Rob were great; super friendly, knowledgeable, and also great musicians both-

Crispin was particularly cool, and offered to modify my Tele for free!
He flipped the control plate for me,
set her up brilliantly, installed a new pick guard, and even extended the internal wiring to facilitate the modification-

I love Regent Sounds!

I can’t recommend this place enough; thanks again guys, for all your knowledge, good vibes, and
excellent service!

Excellent knowledgable and friendly staff. Decent prices/range (although the shop is currently smaller than usual, due to the redevelopment of Denmark St). As a professional musician, this is my music shop of choice.

The lies below are hilarious... a long story, short:

AFTER LONG HARD BATTLE I GOT MY MONEY BACK

i.e. PAYPAL FOUND IN MY FAVOUR!

End of story, ignore the rubbish posted in reply to my review. If you want a company to have your back in the event of something going wrong, avoid these horrible people.

We are not a dishonest company and you can find this from our countless reviews on Feefo, Reverb, Google and many other platforms. This customers order was shipped out on a next day service and was unfortunately delivered to an incorrect, nearby address. I found this out after being told that multiple orders had gone missing for him from several other retailers.

After tracking the missing item, explaining how close it was and that if it were possible to from him to collect it himself (although not ideal) it would be the quickest resolution for all. This was met with a barrage of elaborate and unnecessary abuse and threats. As there was clearly no way of reaching a reasonable or amicable resolution I had to figure out a way of getting a company and people who had nothing to do with the sale, help me to get the item back. As this was the only option left to me it was explained to the customer that as soon as the goods are returned to we will refund him in full.

No authorities were involved in this matter at all and on speaking with PayPal they explained he had no grounds to even open a claim. After going over the situation with PayPal, showing them his threatening emails and explaining that as soon as we have the goods back he will be refunded in full they quickly closed the case in our favour.

The whole situation on our part was handled professionally and followed our terms and conditions when it came to our refund policy. We tried our best to help Steve and were met with nothing but aggression, threats and animosity which made it impossible to find a resolution.
