Process was very smooth from beginning to the end

Total con merchants. They valued my plate at £2,000. I asked to receive £2,500 as I thought the valuation as low. They advertised the plate for £3,250 claiming the large difference was their margin. Then came the lowball offers. When I accepted £2,000 (as was the original valuation and being told that that was as high the purchaser was likely to go) I find out that the buyer paid the full asking price (£3,250) because they bought it on finance- that being one of their terms for finance. I didn’t see a further penny and feel aggrieved that I made them £500 more. They take from both ends in “brokering a deal” and now I have been shortchanged on an asset I’ve had for 16 years. The staff are stealing the money from your pockets! I am talking to trading standards.

If you get a certificate you are just the nominee. The certificate and reg are registered to reg transfer not you. Not a problem if you are putting it straight on a vehicle but not good for keeping on retention.
