Attempted to book a Boiler Service on the phone and was asked to pay a £50 deposit which I declined as was using public transport at the time. No booking confirmation was provided via text/email so made alternative arrangements and received confirmation of a booking from a different Contractor.

The work was completed, no issues with quality etc. Courteous and reliable Engineer. The issue is with additional works randomly carried (Gas Safety Check) which wasn't requested, nor required. Cost me £240 for a £120 job! Tried reporting this to management but was fobbed off, rudely. Basically it's not their problem.

Feel like I've been scammed, with extra work carried out without my instruction and no proof of what the Engineer was instructed to do. The extremely poor customer service solidified my concerns that I'd been taken for a ride!

Absolute rip off. Really overcharged me for a toilet repair on a Sunday. Cost me £318, no parts used. Such a scam Please avoid this company like the plague.

My Grohe toilet cistern required a new syphon. Rennils did the work and sent me an invoice for £630. That is for a job that should cost £150 maximum. Absolute rip-off. When I called them to complain about the excessive cost, they got rude and told me to pay up.

I asked to increase or change the hot water limit in the shower room. The plumber came and only thing he did was turn on hot water and check it with his barehand then inform than inform me that changing the hot water limit is not possible. So the only thing they've done was turn on hot water and feel it with his hand to check if the hot water is coming out which i already informed them that it is working through the phone. They called me back with the bill of 187pounds for that 14minutes visit of just feeling the hot water. It is a total scam.

Advertised as local to Muswell Hill but in fact national. Plumber came promptly but didn’t have a replacement ball valve kit for a standard toilet. Offered to come back next day. Quoted for 3 hours work which would have cost more than £500 including parts. Got the work done by an honest plumber who took less than 30 minutes and charged accordingly. Annoyed that I paid for the call out and then got such dishonest advice. In effect wasted the call out cost. Postscript: The company then sent me an invoice and wants me to pay for an additional £90 + VAT for labour. Labour that wasn't approved and which didn't happen.

STEER CLEAR. I stupidly called the company in a panic for a leak at the weekend. Their call-out and half-hourly rate is extortionate and the plumber was clearly dawdling to make sure the job tipped over into the next half hour. He diagnosed the problem wrongly and estimated four times what I was then quoted from another company (whose call-out fee was a quarter of the price). Go anywhere else!

Ok was in a real state with a shower that would not turn off and called in a state of panic.

Warren arrived a really lovely guy worked for two hours and had to turn off the water until he could get a new valve the following morning.

He duly arrived with the new part and fixed it in two hours.

Very happy as problem solved.

150 per hour labour plus vat and 265 for part plus vat a final bill of 1038.

Expensive but needs must.

However the part in screwfix is 149 Inc vat and I was charged 265 PLUS vat and having contacted them on this matter they have admitted the overcharge and offered me a refund.

They have however not paid it and with all the paperwork including their refund offer on file will take legal action.

Overall I would advise against using this company.

Out and out thieves. Took fifty minutes to do a twenty minute job to justify charging an extortionate amount of money. I let the gentleman in and confirmed to him this was an easy job for a qualified electrician. He smiled and said yes. He did not have the equipment for the job so I had to go out my garden and set up my ladder for him. How much should I charge Rennils for renting the ladder to him? I told the receptionist it was the ceiling bulb cable. How was he going to do the job - levitate? I went back to my room to work and checked in on him twenty minutes later where he was sitting scratching his head. I should have realised then this company are grifters looking to squeeze money out of unsuspecting customers. Avoid.

Warren and the team were very decent and efficient. Clean polite and good value. Would use again.

Absolute rip off

Came out same day having booked for next day, which was good, but wasn’t told they charge more for same day until the job was done.

For a simple unblocking and fix a small leak I was charged over £600- avoid

I’m a landlord with numerous properties and they’ve just lost the potential to work together in the future.

Very polite electrician - but a total rip off. Was charged £120 ph. No work was done l. Advice was given and when followed didn't work.

Told cost to diagnose fault would be £48. Plumber arrived late. Head office lied about why. Didn't know what he was doing so spent 1.5hrs on phone to someone else. Misdiagnosed fault as needing new pump at a cost of £366.85 + fitting when it only need a new relay. Sent and keep sending me bills for £226 for 2 hours labour they didn't do.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Diabolical scammers. Use absolutely anyone else. Do not call them.

This company outsources pest control. We had a call from this company claiming to be landlords of a property and could we attend urgently that day

On arrival the so called tenants was in fact the owners of the property. This company rings around local companies then charges the customer stupid amounts.

Absolutely appalling service.

Contacted Rennils after a google search for a 24/7 pest control, due to issues with a bee nest in a chimney that could not be solved by a beekeeper.

Spoke to Renills who advised me they would be able to send someone out to deal with the issue. I was quoted £299 for the removal/extermination.

The pest control person arrived this morning, after a 5 minute chat concluded he couldn’t hear any bees, neither could I and therefore they had left.

He also informed me he would not have been able to provide the service anyway since he did not deal with bees.

I was charged £350 for this!! After speaking to Renills they agreed to refund me (although this has not yet happened) and I would just be liable for the visit and inspection cost £120!!!

I’m not sure how it can even be deemed an inspection. Turns out the bees have not gone and an hour or so they were swarming in my fireplace again - the fireplace I showed him and that was never even looked at.

Have had to contact a more trust worthy pest control company to deal with the problem.

I had an emergency plumbing issue and reached out to this company for assistance. From the moment they answered my call, I felt confident that I was in good hands. The plumber arrived promptly and was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. Their professionalism and expertise were evident throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this company for any plumbing needs and will definitely use them again in the future.
