Buyer Beware
I registered for a two-day conference on Religion, Culture and Gender Violence. Before the event, it was changed to a half day multidisciplinary conference covering unrelated topics (agriculture, nursing, 3D printing) where each topic was only allotted 10 minutes . My refund request was denied citing the terms and conditions and unavoidable global circumstances that led to this change. The services delivered were materially different from what was advertised and their very strategically written terms and conditions have protected them to continue doing this. The vendor still offered to provide my training certificate for my original course even though the course content did not reflect this topic at all which is also concerning. I had a similar experience with another website and both sites appeared as the same vendor on my credit card statement and provided almost identical trainings that were off topic from what I signed up for with the same refund denial letters.
