Digital evidence has grown 10–100x in the last decade — body-worn cameras on every officer, dash cams on every car, smartphones and doorbells recording every incident, and hours of 911, jail calls, and interviews in every case. But legal and law enforcement teams have not grown 10–100x with it, making it impossible to fully review cases with the time and staff available. Rev is the only economic way to keep pace. Our platform combines industry-leading speech recognition with AI that cites its sources, so every result is accurate, verifiable, and tied directly to the original file. We keep humans firmly in control — AI never replaces judgment, it supports it — giving legal and law enforcement professionals the clarity and time they need to make fair, informed decisions. And when precision matters most, optional human review adds an extra layer of assurance. Built with strict security protocols (CJIS, HIPAA, and SOC2) and zero data sharing with third party LLMs, Rev helps teams find the truth faster, move cases forward with confidence, and spend less of their lives stuck in playback and paperwork — while keeping responsibility for judgment exactly where it belongs: with them. The bottomline: Rev delivers fewer overtime hours, fewer missed details, faster case movement, and more sustainable workloads for the people responsible for applying judgment in the moments that matter the most.

No payment issue
Working as subtitle translator for 5+ years now.
Rev.com is slowly, but steadily improving. One thing I like the most about working with Rev.com is that their payment is weekly made, almost on time.

I've been with Rev for 8 Years and Still Going Strong
I've been with Rev as a Revver offering captioning services for nearly 8 years. I have always been treated fairly and have had pleasant interactions whenever I needed to contact them with questions.
Rev is my sole source of income and I work full time as a contracted worker. I love the user-friendly software that is always improving, and I like the fact that everything I do goes through Rev and they handle all customer inquiries. It simplifies my job so I can just concentrate on captioning videos.
I also like the variety of videos from educational lectures, to movies, interviews, YouTube videos, etc. I gravitate toward the outdoor industry since I come from a hunting and fishing family, so there is definitely not a lack of variety and interests offered on Rev. I can favorite these videos so I can target what I like to work on.
There are ebbs and flows of seasons. Summer and holiday seasons usually tend to be slower because customers are out of their offices, but not YouTubers and industries like sports, typically, so the workflow is always present.
I would recommend Rev to anyone who is looking for work and is self-disciplined and can work alone without supervision. The grading system is there to aid in helping us improve and I have learned a lot from graders. Just implement changes and review the style guide to refresh.
I see so many positives to working for Rev. I spend zero money for gasoline, I spend zero money to go eat out on a lunch breaks, I spend zero time on the road in traffic jams. I just need an internet connection and my computer. It really is that simple.
In conclusion, when I first started with Rev, I was afraid to start my first project. I remember getting an email from a Rev Team member who encouraged me to start. For months, I just worked on very small projects until I gained the confidence to do more. My husband was, and still is, in the background encouraging me to do more. Now, years later, my goal is no longer $10 a day, but as close to $100 a day as I can get. Can you make money on Rev? Absolutely. But for me, it's more about taking care of a customer's file and considering who and what is behind the project you're working on.
For customers, I encourage you to try Rev. If you've been away, come back. There are long-time Revvers who want you to come back. In a busy world, it's easy to put things aside, but Rev really does offer the best services. They definitely have the best software and I see them as always wanting to improve. Rev is not a stagnant company, so give them a try.
My Experience with Rev.com
My Experience with Rev.com – Over 4 Years as an Independent Contractor
I’ve been an independent contractor with Rev.com for over four years now, and it has been my main source of income during that time. I’m truly grateful to be part of a platform that has allowed me to work remotely and earn a living doing captioning work. Rev has provided me with opportunities to grow my skills, and for a long time, there was a steady stream of projects available.
However, in recent months, I’ve noticed a significant drop in available projects. The queue has become increasingly dry, making it harder to rely on Rev the way I used to. While I understand that workflow can fluctuate, the lack of consistent projects has been challenging, especially for long-time contractors who depend on this platform for their livelihood.
Despite this, I still appreciate the structure, user interface, and support that Rev provides. I hope that in the future, more projects will become available again, and that the platform continues to value its experienced contractors who have been loyal through the ups and downs.
From Hero, to Zero, to Hero again.
Rev was the best, it’s why our doctor office went with them over the 50 other choices. Then rev became mediocre without the option to have the AI learn words and took away the word bank.
After months of asking, rev brought it back 1000x better then before. Rev once again quickly climbed the ranks and have secured themselves firmly into our office and as we expand our medical firm. We will be continuing to utilize rev through out all aspects of our business and will continue to proudly support them as they grow as well.
Hop on while you can. Thanks again rev.
I’m a reporter who records multiple meetings …
I’m a reporter who covers two City councils two County commissions three other government bodies for a pair of weekly newspapers and a group of four radio stations. I record a lot of meetings and a lot of interviews. I have used other transcription services, but I was directed to this by a fellow newspaper writer who said this was the best most accurate at least expensive and he was right. I’ve really enjoyed working with this company and the service.

Truly fabulous service. Fast, cheap, and very effective transcriptions.
Always quick and easy.
Great service. Always fast and accurate. My only complaint is the price increase.
My go-to AI notetaker and transcriber
I have used several notetaking apps in the past and I prefer rev above all others. It has highly accurate AI transcripts, but the ability to order a human reviewed transcript for when it really matters is very nice. I also use it to make quick deposition transcripts that I can use to prepare next steps and strategies. Overall, it’s a really nice tool at a fair price.

This app is in need of serious update
This app is in need of serious update. It says it can upload and process third party recordings but it crashes 100% of the times when one attempts that. Even when using the recording function from the app, the upload functions glitches out most of the times.
Rev exploits Upwork’s system to avoid paying freelancers
In late May to early June 2025, I claimed two large subtitle translation projects via Rev’s Upwork partner “3rdback”—each over 60 minutes long—plus several shorter videos. I completed and delivered everything within a few days, totaling over 60 hours of work.
But when it came to payment, Rev refused to pay for 20.5 hours—worth $615—saying those hours were beyond the weekly payment-protected limit on Upwork.
Let’s be clear: the work didn’t take long because I was slow. It took time because the workload was massive. And I didn’t spend more time than it usually takes—I delivered within deadline, and my working hours were well within the typical range for projects of this size.
Here’s the real issue:
When Rev has more projects than freelancers, they don’t seem to mind if someone exceeds the weekly limit—because they need the work done. But now that there's less urgency, that same limit has suddenly become a convenient excuse to deny payment. The inconsistency is blatant and unfair.
I claimed the work in good faith. I completed it according to expectations and did not violate any platform terms. Yet without clear reason or discussion, Rev unilaterally closed the contract. No explanation, no opportunity for dialogue—just a one-sided decision after taking the results.
Since then, I’ve sent a support ticket, emailed twice, and publicly contacted @revhelp three times—with zero response. Not even a rejection. Just silence.
Rev’s approach is irresponsible and one-sided. They take the work, ignore the freelancer, and hide behind platform loopholes. That’s not how you treat people who help build your product.
I've been a freelance transcriptionist…
I've been a freelance transcriptionist for Rev for over 6 years.
Beware of the hype, they are not a good company to work for. They'd rather line their pockets than treat their freelancers fairly and pay them for their hard work.
I am a Legal Transcriptionist with a HIPAA certification and the pay just went DOWN!
There have been changes regarding pay cuts in the past and again, there was a recent change and we got a pay cut that will ruin many people, and the customers of Rev will suffer.
If this is not reversed, the flight is on for the experienced freelancers who will be leaving Rev.
A once trusted resource has failed me terribly.
You have failed at every turn to address the embarrassing Japanese captions you did for my global documentary and its Tokyo premiere. Order CP0656300251 I now have Japanese colleagues who concur your work was completed so incorrectly as to be laughable. I had to commission and pay for the work to be redone. I am still looking for a refund.
Really bad customer service
Really bad customer service. I got an additional charge that I shouldn’t have ever got and I couldn’t get it removed. They sent me one email trying to tell me it was my fault and then just ignored any further emails from me. The transcripts are good, but there are plenty of places offering transcripts that I’m sure have better customer service And aren’t looking to put hidden charges on their customers like a bank charging overdraft fees.
biggest liars
this is fake and scam for other countries like pakistan and india . they are biggest liars,if they don't give opportunities to people of other countries like pakistan than why they had option of this they wasted too much of others just to show their trafic
