Rhodan customer service is top of the line. I had a few items that needed replaced and they helped me diagnose and shipped parts out same or next day. ( depending on time of day). I couldn’t imagine trying to work with another company.

I just purchased my boat and it came with a Rhodan trolling motor, I was a little skeptical at first, I had one issue with it, I had it repaired and it has worked perfect ever since. The staff/sales people could not have been more helpful.

Have replaced many parts for my 80lb…

Have replaced many parts for my 80lb 24V TM by Rhodan. They do pick up the phone and lend an ear but do not stand behind thier products at all. Agree with below posters its only a matter of time before they break. I replaced a HCB and the horrible powder coat failure on steering box. Plastics fade and yellow, parts corrode and now my lower unit died. 1300 to fix it and to top it off they want me to just pony up and buy a whole new motor. They dont support the GEN 1 machines so you need to upgrade an old motor to use the more pricy parts. They are gonna get burried now with the better tech and support from GARMIN, POWER POLE AND MINN KOTA. DO NOT BUY FROM RHODAN ITS NOT WORTH IT, they are sweet on phone but its tough luck and they wont discount shit, nor will they stand behind anything. only good thing is they will ship stuff out but its on your dollar. Good luck, I dont support RHODAN ANYMORE

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER

You spend thousands of dollars on their products and when it’s comes to custumer service they are the worst.
I have a 96” trolling ,after using it for a year and a half , the power cable burned out by the connection plug. When called , of course they said that is not covered by warranty and you have to start replacing parts. And , because there is no any kind of circuit breaker or any sensor between power cable and main computer,of course the main computer will burn first so you can spend more money on repair.
They recommended to buy main part (HCB)+ power cable to start with.
I bought the parts, they arrived , and after changing the HCB part and redoing the connection for the old power cable the trolling start working again.
After that ,trying to return the extra parts I did not used, there is no info or anything on the website about returning or refund (even with the 30 day returning policy mentioning on the phone when placing the order).
I wrote an email to request instruction for return , nobody responded.
Called them multiple times, always Saying to be patient because they are super busy and will respond with the instruction to my email for the return.
After 30 day passed, I call the next day where they responded that there is nothing they can do because 30 day policy passed.
The worst experience ever.

New unit in February 2024

New unit in February 2024. Used one time for less than 3 hours of run time and heard loud crack and unit quit running. Drove two hours and requested a replacement unit. NO WAY they said, "this gear that broke has only happen a couple times, unit will be fine." Unit worked on next trip. Four hours run time. Third trip, burning smell and being 50 miles out in the Gulf was truly concerned it would catch fire. Drove two hours and requested a replacement unit. NO WAY. They said they checked unit and it was fine. The boat Manufacturer called and ask them to replace the unit and they were told that it was against company policy to replace a unit.. I'm a native Floridian with over 50 years of owning multiple high end boats and boating equipment and have never experienced this level of customer service CONTEMPT and lack of image concern. I have now had an attorney write a letter putting them on notice if the unit were to catch fire and cause damage or personal injury, they would be liable. They wrote back and basically said they don't care. Really sad for a company that initially had such a good reputation.

Trash company that does not back…

Trash company that does not back manufacturer defects or sell easily replaceable parts. After 30 hours of use I had a circuit board go bad due to water intrusion from the screws cracking the housing during manufacturing. Motor started smoking like crazy and i thought it was going to catch fire. I paid full price for the new part and realized it was completely re designed. After maybe 15 hrs more of use the lower unit started making noise and i learned it was a magnet in the motor. Instead of offering parts they want to sell a full lower unit and shaft for $1600. It took me 5 minutes to take the lower unit apart to find out one magnet fell off of a very replaceable sleeve. But they Will not just sell the part. This is a $5000 trolling motor with less than 50 hrs of use. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Greedy Unhelpful Company!

So I have had it with Rhodan Marine Systems - GPS Trolling Motors. Back in 2018 I helped put them on the map putting their 84" trolling motor on my 32' SeaVee and showing folks how you can fine tune fishing a reef, ledge or hump in FL. I've probably helped them personally sell 20-25 $5-6K trolling motors for large offshore center consoles. This was not something people ever thought to do 6 years ago. Fast forward to 2024. I mean everyone knows how good I take care of my boats and fishing gear. But, I'm done promoting Rhodan Marine Systems - GPS Trolling Motors after my latest problems with their motor and their, how should I put it......HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Yet even using this motor very little and taking good care of it...it just looks like GARBAGE compared to all my Minn Kota's I've had longer then this Rhodan. I've had this Rhodan in for service at least 3 times and replaced numerous parts over the years. All were very expensive! Bottom line these things are complete Chinese junk and I will no longer promote Rhodan or the products they manufacture. What set me off today was that we used the motor this weekend and when we got home and removed the trolling motor from the boat's mount, I noticed water slogging around in the trolling motor head. How can this happen? I remove the cover and a half gallon water empties and I see no gasket used to secure the cover (Brilliant engineering Rhodan). Then I noticed the cable to the electronic compass in the head was totally corroded out and falling apart. How it even worked on Sat. is beyond me. So the cable used on the compass is just a NMEA cable but obviously not used in a NMEA 2K Network. The cable is hard wired into the compass puck and so you can't just unplug and change the cable. Yet I know the compass is fine and its only the cable. The 2 emails from Rhodan Marine Systems - GPS Trolling Motors Service Manger Shawn Bailey just made my blood boil! He wants me to buy a whole new compass for over $300 even though I told him I am an excellent solderer and can waterproof my connections with a new NMEA 2K cable. I asked Shawn for a wiring diagram for the MCB. Or I asked him to simply identify the wire pairs orange/white-orange and green and white-green. To my shock, he refused to send a wiring diagram or identify the 4 wires coming out of the compass puck. I mean What The F???? Why would a company refuse to help a customer the best that they could?? Especially with all I have done the past 6 years promoting this company?? I'll tell you why...because they are just another scumbag greedy ass company that wants to keep selling replacement parts that are marked up 500%. So I am done with you Rhodan Marine Systems - GPS Trolling Motors. I will never buy another of their cheap junk motors or promote them in any way. Look at their last 50 Google reviews...75% of them are 1-star by other customers as aggravated as me! Do yourself a favor and if you are looking to buy a GPS trolling motor...PLEASE go with MinnKota! They even have a new 100" shaft for use on bigger 30-35' center consoles! If you want to not lose money and spare yourself the aggravation, NEVER buy anything from Rhodan Marine Systems!
