This 'company' keep trying to get my…

This 'company' keep trying to get my reviews removed but I will keep posting.
What was originally £4,500 rebuild at the end of 2024 turned into a £14,000 rebuild with a reputable company after 8 visits and 2 'engine rebuilds' at the staines scrapyard of ribas motors, ribas santos parts, rs diesel specialists, enginein10days, turnkey engineering orwhatever name they go by as there are many. Totally destroying my van!
Check out turn keyengineering review also! Lindomar Ribas dos Santos pareira is the
Owner but changed directors and address to Macclesfield and a director whos resides in portugal in October 2025 i assume to escape many court cases. I have done a credit check and they do not pay ccj's I'm guessing as a scrapyard with nothing of value is worth the bailiffs time.
I had to replace a missing DPF that was crudely cut out and stolen. (Also in Lindomars other victims reviews)
Had to purchase a brand new cylinder head as old one was beyond repair as was never skimmed just put in a vice and rubbed down with sandpaper.
The block had to be polished and skimmed as was never done hence burning oil. Old bolts were reused not replaced.
Badly damaged alloy and door as my van done hundreds of miles while they had it. Always returned on an empty tank.
Had to purchase a new turbo and fuel injectors
My newish clutch(8k miles)was replaced with an old rusty one worn down to the rivets.
Numerous wrong bolts , loose bolts and cross-threading on engine. Many parts were broken or missing.
Oli leaking everywhere. Doing around 100 miles to a litre.
Bad burning oil fumes in the cab
There is so much more i can list as have a full engineers report and videos.

RS only report was sending me pictures of 3 different engines saying it was mine.
Yes Lindomar tells his latest receptionist that he doesn't want to talk to me. Lindomar also pretends to be the receptionist. It wouldn't be the 'mechanics' that live in a camper van outside of the scrapyard as they dont speak a word of English!
I really hope people read this honest review and many like it to save them a lot of time and money.
All reported to the police and action fraud and have two crime reference numbers! Also reported 3 times to trading standards.

Initial Assessment
1. Engine oil leak
2. Excessive oil consumption
3. Smell of fumes inside the cab
4. The Drivers side vent is blowing cooler air
than on the passenger side.
5. Cruise control does not work.
Customer Notes: Van had an engine rebuild
14 months ago & customer has had several
problems since. He has taken the van back 8
times. The van has oil leaking from
underneath & fumes are coming into the
cab. Also went to France & back and used 3
litres of oil doing so. Customer wants a
report on works carried out by
Ribas santos - rebuild company

Report;
1. There is a heavy engine oil leak present
from the high pressure fuel pump which is
not secure.
2. Further investigation will be required once
the engine oil leak has been resolved.
Suspect the engine will require removing &
dismantling to confirm the source.
3. There is an exhaust gas leak from the
turbo charger to DPF joint, advise removal
for inspection as the next step
Note: The DPF appears to have been
tampered with (evidence of the DPF being
cut open & re welded) & there is excessive
carbon build up in the exhaust tail pipe.
4. Additional time will be required to
investigate.
5. Additional time will be required to
investigate.

ADV
Advisories
1. The washer fluid reservoir cap is missing
2. There are multiple loose bolts, nuts,
incorrectly routed / fitted components.
3. The engine ECU connector is damaged &
appears to have been glued back together!
4. One wheel bolt on each of the front
wheels is the wrong type & too long,
replacement required.
5. The air filter is extremely dirty,
replacement required.
6. The turbo charger impeller is damaged
7. There is evidence of an AC system leak on
the condenser & the AC system is empty.
8. The clutch release bearing is noisy
9. The clutch is worn close to the rivets
10. The flywheel should be replaced during
these repairs.
11. Sealant has been applied to the
crankshaft rear main oil seal!
Note: Videos available.

Repair
Remove engine & prep for engineering shop
(with complications - head bolts sheared
off)
Report:
1. There is damage to the engine oil dipstick
mounting point.
2. There are several incorrect bolts fitted in
multiple places & several loose bolts!
3. The timing chain is loose
4. All of the head bolts sheared off when an
attempt was made to loosen them (it
appears the head bolts were not renewed
during the last engine repair). One of the
head bolts was already damaged prior to
any removal work (head sheared off)
5. The cylinder head is damaged & beyond
repair.
6. The crankshaft is damaged.

I come here to leave my statement and clarify this whole situation.I am Cezar Bueno, director of the company,it is necessary to make it clear that this review does not correspond to the reality of the facts.First,Lindomar is not part of the company, and it is incorrect to continue associating his name with the current structure. This review mixes names of several companies, people and different situations, which have no direct relation with this profile and with the alleged situation, which only creates confusion. This client already came to us with the vehicle coming from another workshop and with existing problems. Before any service,he requested that our company make a technical report so that he could use it against the other workshop in court. We told him that we could not provide this type of report,we have records, emails, photos and proof of this request. After that even so,he asked to carry out the engine rebuild service, which is exactly the area we work in.The service was carried out,and at the time of delivery the vehicle was tested, filmed and photographed, with the client present. There was no complaint and the client left satisfied. After that, several accusations began,he returned claiming that we stole from inside the car,his chemical substances. This shows inconsistent behaviour. We have cameras throughout the company, the entire service was recorded and the company has proof of the facts. The client returned several times with new allegations about the car.In all situations, the company provided support and carried out tests. The problems presented later do not correspond to the condition of the vehicle at delivery, raising doubts about changes made after it left the company. It is clear there is an attempt to hold our company responsible for problems that already existed. It is also important to clarify that our company works with engine rebuild, and not other systems.Issues related to DPF exhaust are not part of our service.Even so,the allegations continue and the situation has worsened. We have received threatening calls and messages, including statements about sending people to collect amounts. This is very serious. The company has records and recordings of these communications. All this has been reported to the police and is being handled legally. The company has proof, records and recordings supporting everything reported. If the author believes he is right, the correct path is legal action with evidence.Instead,he has chosen to make public accusations online with false information. Finally, this is an attempt to blame our company for something we did not cause. The company fully rejects these allegations and will continue to handle this case legally. We remain committed to truth and professionalism.Cezar Bueno Director

I always dread calling the service…

I always dread calling the service department for routine maintenance, but the Riba’s Motors online booking system changed everything. It was effortless to look up my vehicle, choose the exact time slot that fit my lunch break, and even select the service coupon directly in the booking portal. This level of efficiency and control makes fixed operations support feel entirely stress-free.

Do not use

Do not use ! Last year my engine seized , I used a company called turkey engineering, this is a front company for “ribas motors “ phone answered by pat who sold me a story of a great company I had chosen to rebuild my engine ! Rebuild is what I wanted , turnkey picked up my van to “rebuild “ my engine , 5k later , and one week I get a phone call to pick up my van from romsey in Hampshire all fixed and ready to go , this is their satellite garage they said , I had already complained over the phone about paint damage they had caused to my front bumper , but this was my fault as the panels were painted in , “ a bit of care would have got them out “ but oh well I’ll swallow the cost , so I turned up to this back street garage my van is running and ready to go , I only had to drive an hour to get there , I got a lift of a friend , so upon arrival yes my van is actually running , the guy who was at the garage spoke no English , but we worked out I could take my fixed van , so my friend drives in front I follow in my van out on to the fuel carriageway , I realise that I can’t accelerate over 30 mph and the van breaks down , luckily my friend saw and waited for me to start my van and nurse it back to the back street garage , lucky me the man is still there ! So I get him to ring his boss lindo ribas santos the owner at the time , I say at the time because last month oct 25 he stepped down as director , anyway I digress , I speak to lindo and tell him I’m not particularly happy that my van is un drivable and that I will pick it up when it is fixed ! So its now Christmas and I’m chasing a ghost to find out what is happening to my van , after two weeks I get in touch with them , my van has metal in the fuel and it needs a fuel pump and injectors , this can be arranged for 2k , I initially agree and wait another couple of weeks over Christmas, the to my surprise I get a congestion charge notice for my van driving in Staines on a Friday night at 618 pm !! So I phone , and message and ask that I needed to get something urgent out my van , after being fobbed off in told lindo is out the country , so I tell them that if lindo does not contact me and return my van the police will be involved , so he contacts me and after a conversation my van is returned, still not running correctly won’t go over 2000rpm and now will not reach 50 mph , when I left my van at the romsey garage it had 62k on the clock when my van got delivered back on a breakdown truck it had an extra 350 miles on the clock , when challenged about this lindo said this was down to testing , so I have a broken van , a congestion charge , 350 miles on my van , and 5 k gone , so here’s the rub , I’m a fully qualified mechanic and mot tester , I did not have the time to fix my engine at point of failure as I did not have access to workshop facilities as we would not have the time , my workplace has ramps so I lifted my van and looked underneath to see my rebuilt engine has in fact been replaced with an inferior refurb engine with second hand parts , that had been spray painted silver , I have pictures of my original engine , and have stripped down pictures of the engine that they fitted , I have signed independent inspections from two reputable garages that agree the engine is no original, please remember turnkey offer full strip down and inspection of all engine components and advise what needs to be replaced , so over the last year I have removed the broken sprayed silver egr valve , this was clogged and the insides were broken so would never have worked , next I removed the turbo , the exhaust side impeller was seized , the injectors were leaking back into the engine because they had cracked the plastic rocker cover , I have replaced the intercooler as this was leaking , I replaced the injectors and high pressure fuel pump , for peace of mind , remember ribas said these were faulty after they had repaired my van , they were not , a small claim has been lodged and I am now waiting for my day in court in March next year , I have had so many fellow disappointed customers reach out, and I welcome you to come to court as my supporters , which is my legal right , once again not the best experience

Don't go near

Truck went back 5 times following an engine rebuild. The last time was for the DPF to be regenerated. After a couple of days the same problem occurred and I was told I could find a company and gave the DPF regenerated myself, if I wanted. This I did.
Shock horror! Not only had we been driving around with an illegal vehicle on the road but neither could we sell it, as the DPF had been removed without notification or authorisation from me.
The practise of removing the DPF is actually illegal! This us when I contacted Trading Standards.
Ribas Motors took the truck back and replaced the DPF, albeit with a second hand one, but the trucks engine ceased again in October due to the head gasket blowing and coolant contaminating the engine oil.
A recon engine has been fitted by a different garage at a further cost in excess of £6000. They reported that several bolts were missing from the engine rebuild and one part that should've had a gasket fitted had actually been sealed with mastic!
Engineers?
A very very costly mistake

Hello Brenda,

Thank you for sharing your feedback.

Our company specialises in engine work and engine rebuilding. The DPF system is part of the vehicle’s exhaust system and is separate from the engine itself. Issues related to the DPF are therefore part of the exhaust system rather than the engine rebuild.

We always aim to provide professional service and transparency in all work carried out and we take customer concerns seriously.

They Saved My Car! Couldn't Be Happier.

Massive thanks to the team at ribasmotors for the amazing work on my car's engine. I was dreading the cost and hassle of a refurb, but they made the whole process so straightforward. They explained everything in a way I could understand, were upfront about costs, and delivered when they said they would.
Picked the car up last week and it's an absolute dream to drive now. So quiet and responsive. It feels like I've got a new car without the new car price tag! If your car is struggling, don't hesitate to bring it here.
True, honest mechanics who know their stuff.

Absolutely ridiculous

Absolutely ridiculous. Crooks. Spent a lot of money on an engine rebuild. After months. They failed. And the van kept breaking down. Every time I returned it to them. They would claim to have fixed it but then would break down again. This happend about 4-5 times.
After realising they couldn’t fix. They didn’t even bother putting the engine back. They just through half of it away and left half of it in the back of the van. They did refund me. However took months and they paid it back over instalments. Absolute joke of a company. If you use them You will lose money

They also operate under another company called turnkey engineering. So be careful when seeing this too

After an engine rebuild last October

After an engine rebuild last October, my car recently developed a juddering when reaching about 35mph. Also the oil light was constantly on an intermittent engine warning light. My local garage thought it might be a timing belt issue and as still under warranty I should go back to the rebuild garage.
When contacted I was asked to bring it in for a couple of days for investigation and hopefully repair. Although this took longer than expected and following several phone calls, the car was returned to me in good working order.
At every contact the Manager was extremely helpful and polite and would not return the car until fixed.
I had no problem with the service received and would recommend.

Avoid at all costs - Liars and Thieves

Avoid at all costs - Liars and Thieves
After talking with Pat and checking out their website, Turnkey seem to be a proper, honest and professional automotive services business, unfortunately they are far from it. Pat stated she wanted to place my vehicle in there "flagship" engineering unit to get the engine rebuild undertaken, but when i collected my car, I soon realised they had shunted out to a contractor whos yard was no better than a scrap yard. engineers (if you could call them that) were working in the rain on multiple cars, and i had to trudge through oily mud to the main building where my car was waiting for me. When I examined my car it was covered in oil and dirty fingerprints, the inside reeked of oil, heavy engine parts had been stored in the car on my leather seats and had dented the leather and left scuff marks, the windscreen was covered with hundreds of welded on grinding dust which instantly wrecked my wiper blades the second they turned on, the engine bay was also covered in grinding dust and oil.
I tried to complain but no one spoke English and had a very difficult conversation on the phone with the business owner who, quite frankly didn't care one bit.
I didnt want to leave my car with them any longer and gingerly drove it 2 hours home.
within a few days the engine started making a worrying clicking noise, RAC came out and said that the injector retaining bolts were loose making my injectors jump up and down, luckily it was caught in time and RAC torqued them down.
Trying to complain is pointless, no one cares, you will be palmed off, blamed and even after me threatening with solicitors they still were un-fazed.
After spending a further £1200 on remedial cleaning, new windscreen, full RAC check I still have no trust in my car. total cost was £4080 for the work and £1200 for remedial work.
DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS !

AVOID!!

ABSOLUTELY AVOID,
This garage is terrible, liars and cowboys, my car went to them June 2024, and it’s been a horrible experience since, first time there the car comes back covered in bird poop and mud as if it had been parked in a field, after about a week the engine starts to overheat, they come and collect the car, driving it from Newbury to Staines London even though it was overheating before, on the way I have found footage of them crossing chevrons on an A road driving the car through a massive pot hole damaging my car, after they inspect and rebuild my engine again it lasted about 1500 and went all wrong.
There was a horrible diesel smell whenever the car was running which I brought up to them in my 1000 mile check up and oil change, all they did was tighten a few bolts and turn my recirculation on in my car and say it was fixed….. it was not, later found out that my injectors wearnt fitted correctly, and they also didn’t even change the oil.
I have since been blessed and had an actual mechanic fit a new engine and fix all of the problems they made, which I would happily list on here however it would take too long.
They are awful at communicating with you and as soon as something goes wrong they’ll ignore you aslong as they can and avoid paying to get the car properly towed if it’s gone wrong, I have photos of there terrible work I wish I could include and the video of them driving it into a pot hole

Total cowboys

Alarm bells should have rang when they said their card machine wasn’t working and they wanted me to transfer money for the parts to a bank account before the work had even started!

Upon the final bill there was an £600 added where no one spoke to be about it before doing the work.

The communication of Ribas is extremely poor, no one ever answers the phone or replies to emails unless you have sent a few.

I have had to take my car back less than 2 months due to a coolant leak which I was told there wasn’t a issue the first time I took it back, however the issue got worst along with a drive shaft issue so was asked to bring the vehicle in on a certain day, I took it in only to be told they couldn’t deal with it that week.

Returned the following week and I didn’t have my car for 2 weeks, in the end I ended up getting my car back still not fixed and took it to another garage, where is was told of a oil leak, poorly fitted parts and a broken drive shaft all as a result of the engine rebuild Ribas did.

I also had a tracker on the car which showed it parked half a mile away on a street used by HGVs risking it being damaged whilst it was there.

I was basically scammed of 6k for terrible work and months of stress.
