When I took my car yesterday for a service I told them that when driving through Burnely tunnel I switched the lights on & it stated front right light faulty & a orange triangle came on I told Matt he said don’t worry they will fix it I believed them but are way home the same warning came on so obviously they didn’t check lights I rang them on my way to tell them when I rang today they said it cost me $275 an hour to look at car so much for it being serviced!!!
Took the work car in for its MOT at the pre-booked time assuming the MOT would take place at the allotted time to find out it would take all day, i was not offered any kind of courtesy car or other service while i wait. this resulted in me being stuck in Fareham for 6 hours whilst i waited for the MOT to be completed, with the only other alternative being to take a bus to the train station and then a train to Portsmouth taking an hour each way overall. This is without mentioning being ignored by the staff with a feeling that it was because i was not there to purchase a new vehicle.
Charge more to service cars under 3 years old, they only tell you this when you take the car in. When I got my car back they had allegedly checked the expiry date on the tyre repair kit, only the car doesn't have one it has a spare wheel. Mentioned this to the service department and the guy was quite dismissive, saying they had just ticked the wrong box. Makes me wonder if anything else was missed
Richmond Skoda Botley did a great job on my car an all round service plus a new control unit enabling me to use my electric windows again, a job well done plus customer service was prompt and courteous.
My Skoda had an airbag recall and although I had not bought the car from Richmond Skoda, they were the closest dealer and I could book the service online.
They carried out the airbag exchange within 3 hours and also washed and vacuumed the car already to go on the same day : )
