I had searched for around 3 months for…

I had searched for around 3 months for the right car for myself and finally found it at Right car move. Not only was the right car important to me but so was whoever I would be dealing with. Andy was genuinly welcoming when I viewed the car. Very relaxed environment, (nothing like your regular forcourt dealership which I find intimidating) I decided I wanted the car. Andy was very patient with me, was not pushy and when I needed to wait for documentation to obtain finance, Andy was patient enough to wait with me. Two weeks later, He delivered the car to my front door as agreed. He's a Very laid back, friendly and approachable guy and I would reccomend him and his dealership.
Thank you Andy. Michele

Sold an unsafe care and refuses to reimburse us

We purchased a car from Andy on the 20th October 2023. The purchase was an emergency and so we travelled just over an hour for this Q5. On the 31st October we advised Andy that there was an issue with the stop/start (we couldn't start the car properly). Andy replied suggesting we change the batteries in the remote, and suggested we take it back so his mechanic could look at it. We have an extremely busy life, and I work shifts and so we made it clear that this would be extremely inconvenient but it was booked in for a service and an MOT a few weeks later (earliest we could get), so he agreed with us getting it looked at whilst it was being serviced and MOT'd and to keep him in the loop.

We did. The car had been found to be dangerous and I had been forced to arrange alternative transport from the garage (when I went expecting it to be a waiting appointment) because they refused to let me drive it. The brakes were so corroded there were bits breaking off and the timing belt had 'been done', but the timing had not been adjusted correctly (hence the inability to keep it running when trying to start it) and there were bolts not tightened correctly and some even in the wrong place!

His response was to blame us for not taking it back to him, said that Audi had ripped us off and that we were wrong to get the DANGEROUS brakes and timing belt faults fixed without going back to him. He then offered the amount that HIS mechanic would have charged to fix those faults (around 1/4 of the bill we faced) as a final settlement of ALL claims and gave us 14 days to accept his offer or it would be withdrawn.

It is a long story, and we have been reasonable (we didn't ask him to reimburse the whole amount of the bill, only the cost of the cam belt and brakes). But he has now ignored us since the 15th January. What communication we have received, has been coercive, aggressive and nonfeasant.

Our experience of Right Car Move has been awful. We have been asking for a fair resolution for over 5 months and Andy is now ignoring us. If you are thinking of buying a car from here, feel free to contact me first. I have a full audit trail of communications, vehicle safety reports, as well as a breakdown of the legal obligations he failed to adhere to, which I am more than happy to share to stop this happening to someone else!

Helpful and friendly

Andy was very helpful and friendly. Bought a Fiat 500 from him and he made the process so simple and easy. Will definitely be using him again and have been recommending him to my friends and family.

The true test of any business is how…

The true test of any business is how they handle things when they don't go to plan. Andy and Sandy at Right Car Move are in a different class when it comes to used car sales. I can't recommend them highly enough.
I bought a Hyundai i10 for commuting to work in order to align with my employer's environmentally friendly policy of low CO2 emission and less than 7 years old. This was to pass on to my son as he would become 17 shortly after the car's 7th birthday.
Prior to delivery, they put it through an MOT which it passed with a caution highlighting tyres near the legal limit, so they replaced them as, "That's not how we like to do business"!
Sadly, there was an issue with the gearbox change mechanism. It didn't centre correctly. No problem, or so we thought, as it's under 5 years old, so still within Hyundai's 5 year warranty.
I accepted delivery and took it to my local Hyundai dealer, o.5 miles from my house, only to find somebody had tried to weld up the failed gearbox turret, invalidating the warranty! Why anyone would do something so foolish when there's a sticker in the rear window announcing it has a 5 year warranty that clearly hasn't expired as you only have to read the year of sale from the number plate!
I sourced a replacement gearbox from ebay and had it swapped out by a local garage at £50/hr vs. Hyundai's £138/hr!
Right Car Move agreed to the work in advance and refunded the cost without quibbling.
To find an ethically sound used car dealership is quite remarkable. I was impressed enough by the tyre replacement before it was delivered but their after sales service would shame many main dealers.
They'll be the first people I contact when I need another eco friendly run around in 2021.
