Do not do business with this company, they operate in a predatory and decptive manner. This company appears to function as little more than a middleman. They subcontract all work, provide no supervision, and take no responsibility. The pattern is simple: lock customers into a contract, collect as much money as possible, and then leave them with delays, defective work, and endless change orders.

BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT HIRE THEM. Unfortunately, we hired right choice pools in June of 2023 before we reviewed all of the negative reviews about them and before we learned that they had been sued so many times in several different counties for construction defect and breach of contract. We, too, are in the process of suing them now also. They have caused over 100,000 in damage to my property and are in breach of contract.
Did I mention – they are NOT done with my pool project. They refuse to finish the job
They show up sporadically, if at all. Months go by and no one shows up to work. If they do work – it is for a few hours one day per week. If they quote 12 months to finish – this means at least 36 months. If they quote you a price, triple it.
I am in the process of suing right choice pools and Matt, personally, for construct defect, fraud and breach of contract. Matt is NOT a contractor. He has NO CLUE what he is doing. Everything they do is unorganized. They do one thing, and it creates 5 more problems. Zero coordination. There is no project manager.
My lagoon shaped pool is not symmetrical – they do not care about doing what you want – all they care about is suckering you into giving them money – then they do what is the cheapest for them. There is plaster all over the pool tiles. They refuse to fix it. There are holes/gaps between the pool tile wall and coping. They refuse to fix it. The coping does not match. The patio tile/decking looks awful. There are areas next to the decking where they poured 6 – 8 inches of concrete and left it there – so I have gaps between the decking and the grass. The decking stops about 1 inch to 2 inches from my house – there is a gap there too that they filled with sand. Their excuse is that my house is crooked and they refuse to fix it. We had to do the pool steps twice because it was not even the first time. We had to do expand the deep end of the pool twice because they cut it short the first time.
Did I mention WE STARTED IN JUNE OF 2023 AND WE ARE NOT DONE. I paid right choice pool to put in a rock waterfall in – they choose the ugliest one – did not allow me to approve it – they installed it – of course, it did not work. It was not installed properly either. It took months and months until they finally removed it. Matt should have hired a professional – an expert – to install it. But he tried to install it himself. Need I say more.
I prepaid right choice pools to install commercial grade automated tiki torches. They bought manual torches (because it was cheapest for them). They had to return them. I was forced to order the tiki torches and pay for them myself as right choice pools was incompetent to do so. It took months for right choice pools to return the monies they charged me to purchase the torches. Now right choice pools is refusing to install the tiki torches even though installation is specifically referenced in the contract. My guess, is they have no idea how to install them as clearly they are in the wrong business. They charge excessive fees and provide crappy service. All they care about is taking your money. Please – hire someone else. Do not waste your time or energy with this company. You will be sorry.

The pool contractor they use are horrible. Why would right choice provide a contractor that doesn't have paver warranty. Pool deck pavers sinking in in a few months. Horrible job

I signed a contract with right choice pools in Nov 2021. it is still not completed, numerous excuses during this time for taking up to now, 02/18/2025, over 3 years to complete. The pavers installed on the deck are now loose, many have completely come out when weeding. No badmouthing just facts here. If your in the market for a pool construction and to be completed in reasonable time, Right Choice Pools are not the company you want to go with. If it were possible to leave a negative star rating, I would.

They made us do work and not pay us, they are also scamming some of their clents.

These people are thieves. Took out a policy and had it for an hour and they charged me £85.00 after i decided to cancel it within an hour. Disgraceful approach to new customers. They have no conciseness and just want your money. When you try to talk to them and ask why they just say it in the terms and conditions. Everyone never reads T&Cs as they are always too long and take forever to digest unless you have a legal mond

Right Choice Pools and Spas is a highly unprofessional and unethical company.
Matt Barrass / President Right Choice Pools and Spas is the rudest and most dishonest person I have ever seen. Not even one word that comes from his mouth is true.
He is uneducated, lacks knowledge, and has a low IQ - you will see this while communicating with Matt Barrass.
For example, statistics show that the average pool construction in Florida is 120 to 180 days, and my pool took 670 days.
For example, the 60-story Porsche Building in Sunny Isles Beach was finished in around 900 days, a $560 million project.
The construction of my pool took over 670 days and was not even finished by Right Choice Pool and Spas, and it was only a $57.8 thousand project.
My evidence against Matt Barrass and Right Choice Pool and Spas:
1. Contract Start to Finish: 180 days Maximum. My pool is 670 days and has not been finished by Right Choice Pools and Spas.
2. Right Choice Pool and Spas received almost all funds for construction as required by the contract; however, the work on the pool was only 60% done.
3. The company never sent a supervisor, and workers were alone.
4. Right Choice Pool and Spas management was unprofessional and could not do mechanical calculations when they did a pool plan. They had no idea about surveys, property dimensions, or code setbacks, and they did not know what equipment was needed, for example, for piles drill.
5. There were nineteen (19) inspections done by the building department of Sunny Isles Beach, and none of the managers or supervisors from the Right Choice Pool and Spas was on inspections, none of them.
6. Right Choice Pool and Spas did not supply the required building materials and did not connect the pool drain system to the well.
7. Right Choice Pool and Spas did not supply the required building materials and did not connect the main electrical control panel to the pool equipment.
8. Right Choice Pool and Spas did not finish the pool deck as was agreed by the Contract
9. Right Choice Pool and Spas did not supply and did not make pool plaster installation.
10. Right Choice Pool and Spas falsified and corrected the contract after signing it.
11. Right Choice Pool and Spas forged my signature on the pool plans.
12. Right Choice Pool and Spas, Matt Barrass never honored the warranty.
13. etc., etc., etc.
Terrible experience with that company, with this management, with this Matt Barrass.
And most terrible is always lying Matt Barrass.

I found in public records in MIAMI-DADE, BROWARD, AND WEST PALM BEACH COUNTIES 21 (21 !!!!) LITIGATIONS WERE FILED AGAINST MATT BARRASS AND RIGHT CHOICE POOLS AND SPAS.
I also opened a claim against this famous company and against that famous person, and it took almost four(4) years to fight with the Right Choice Pool and Spas and Matt Barrass in Court.
During four years, the Right Choice Pool and Spas and Matt Barrass changed two (2!!!!) law firms.
The Right Choice Pool and Spas and Matt Barrass spent tens of thousands of dollars to fight in Court.
After four (4) years, the claim was decided in my favor.
I was presenting myself, PRO SE, and I am delighted with the Court's decision.
And now finally!!!!
If you don't want to become another victim, google the Right Choice Pool and Spas and Matt Barrass.
You deserved a better choice than Matt Barrass and Right Choice Pools & Spas.
Do not spend your family money on that "family" company.

Matt Barrass / President RCPS - absolutely rude and dishonest person, that I ever seen in my life. Not even one world is true.
Lack of knowledge, low IQ - you will see this, while communicating with Matt Barrass.
670 days gone since RCPS received my first cheque. I payed them $55,020.00 from $57,800.00(Agreement) that equals 95%, but job was done only 60%. , and think: in 670 days.
Matt Barrass never seen job site.
Company (management, supervisor) never supervised job.
When city Building department did inspections, company never was represented.
During 670 days I have seen company supervisors only 3 times (5-10 minutes, when they pick up the checks)

Worst company ever... Ringing and ringing all day.. to be told apparently business insurance doesn't mean business insurance. They lied then canceled my policy because they DONT REALLY do business insurance. And to charge me for their lies £61. Ombudsman it is..

UPDATE..YET ANOTHER NEW LAWSUIT IN 2018! RCP has lawsuits in all three counties Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. I wonder if RCP will also claim this is false and they are awesome?
