Dies ist eine Bewertung der Software…

Dies ist eine Bewertung der Software Firemin von Rizonesoft.
Die Aufgabe von Firemin besteht darin, den schier grenzenlosen Hunger nach RAM-Speicher des Browsers Firefox einzubremsen, der rasch auf hunderte MB anschwellen kann. Bei dem Programm handelt es sich um eine kostenlose, deutschsprachige Software. Ich habe sie so eingestellt, das sie alle 500 Millisekunden den Speicherverbrauch von Firefox auch unter 100 MB begrenzt. Das Firemin-Fenster wird nicht angezeigt, wenn die Software läuft. Um Einstellungen vorzunehmen, muss gegebenenfalls der Prozess im Taskmanager beendet werden und dann ruft man die Software mit einem Doppelklick auf die .exe-Datei im Programmordner auf. Dann kann man einstellen. Das Teil funktioniert angeblich auf beim Internet Explorer, obwohl der mittlerweile durch den Browser Edge ersetz wurde.
Das Programm tut seinen Dienst und erspart mir dadurch viel RAM-Speicher, der dann anderweitig genutzt werden kann.
