Appalling. Told no call out. Came to give us a price which was extortionate. We declined. Then told would be a charge of £186. Not a call out charge!! We paid as we felt intimidated. Avoid
I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with RMM Maintenance following an accidental gas pipe damage in my home.
After discovering the issue, I contacted RMM Maintenance, who attended within around 3 hours. The engineer briefly assessed the situation and advised that the only solution was to completely reroute and refit the gas supply, quoting an eye-watering £3,500 + VAT. This immediately felt excessive, but I contacted my home insurance company who quite rightly refused to approve the work without a clear written justification. At that point, I declined to proceed.
Despite no work being carried out, I was still charged a £189 call-out fee.
Concerned by the scale and cost of what I had been told, I sought a second opinion. Another gas engineer attended within 30 minutes, quickly assessed the situation, and safely isolated the damaged pipe in approximately 20 minutes. The total cost? £95. No unnecessary work, no inflated quote—just a straightforward, professional fix.
More worrying, the second engineer highlighted that RMM Maintenance had failed to fully isolate the gas supply before leaving. Given they were aware there was a leak, this represents a serious safety concern, as the gas could potentially have been turned back on.
No surprise they never got back in touch to provide me a written quote for my insurance company to consider.
In summary, I feel I was given misleading advice, quoted for completely unnecessary work at an excessive cost, and left in a potentially unsafe situation. I would strongly advise others to seek a second opinion before agreeing to any major works recommended by this company.
Absolute Joke of a company. Called out for a blocked toilet and charged £300 for less than 10 minutes work and didn't even fix the issue. Do not use these rogue traders.
My elderly mother-in-law (late 70s) who is the primary carer for her disabled husband searched online for her usual plumbing company. The company she contacted appeared prominently in Google search results, and she believed it was the firm she normally uses.
Two men attended her property regarding a minor shower leak. They quoted £1,340 to repair what they described as a cracked pipe.
This diagnosis was later confirmed to be incorrect by our regular plumber, who resolved the issue by resealing the shower screen with silicone.
When I spoke to the men by telephone and asked which company they worked for, they avoided clearly identifying themselves. I instructed them to leave and confirmed I would arrange the call-out fee later.
After the call, they informed my in-laws they would not leave without payment. My mother-in-law felt intimidated and withdrew cash from an ATM while they remained outside the property.
She was visibly distressed and frightened by the encounter.
The company has since issued an additional invoice requesting payment again despite already receiving the call-out fee.
Found Liam and the rest of the team very helpful and responsive. Came out same day to investigate water dripping from bathroom extractor fan. Recommended a solution and came back in a week with new inline fan and fitted at a time that worked for us. Recently had a problem with our boiler on a weekend and had to ring again, Liam came out within a couple of hours and replaced perished condensate pipe within minutes. Liam and the team are polite and helpful explaining things and offering advice. I would recommend to others.
### DO NOT USE### BE AWARE#### Very rude. False promises made. Please dont make any payments till job is completed. Absolute rogues and vile attitude from staff and Liam. No reciepts given and overpriced ###DO NOT USE ###
No star rating….this company are con men… they charged my auntie today £3000 for a new fuse board. & call out,My auntie got in touch with another 2 electrician earlier who both quoted her between £600 & £900 for the same job, the lads took £1600 up front when we said they were getting no more money we spoke to the manager of the company & he threatened to take the new fuse board out, I wanted to phone the police & let them take there work out, but my poor Auntie is worried so she just paid them… STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY They are going to be reported to Trade & Standards & there electrical body..
Very happy, had water going all over and a young lad come out and fixed it straight away.
Supplied and installed new kitchen due to another company taking my money and never coming back over the moon with the work I have revived and now looking to book in a new kitchen. Brilliant service
I contacted RMM MAINTENANCE due to no power in my kitchen the woman on the phone informed me of the price and time frame and they were out within 1hr. The men who come out were lovely and respectful and I would definitely use again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hi
Just been well and truly ripped off!!!
Came out ,supposedly tried fault ,couldn't get part till next day ,when they arrived valve was different to one they showed me was at fault
Call-out 10am 2hrs labour ,new valve (£190 max retail) total cost £900 - so that's £700 for call out and 2hrs labour
These people are Con men-STAY CLEAR. We had the need to have emergency electrical attendance. They attended at a pre agreed charge, proceeded to diagnose a fault that didn't exist and then quote to rectify the non-existing fault at over £2,600. we refused and the next day rectified the issue at NO cost. These people are CON MEN, do not contact them. we have reported them elsewhere
I was at my Bishop's Clergy house today with my husband, we had lost our Father and it was a very stressful time for us. As soon as we arrived her phone was ringing it seemed every few seconds where she was receiving demands for a bill to be paid from this company despite her asking if they could wait just one hour until she had finished speaking with us. The abuse got worse and worse, threats, demands, a Manager I think it was stated he did not care that a couple ( us ) had lost our Father, he was a vile creature. Our Bishop was becoming distressed at the abuse, at the phone constantly ringing, the threats of how work would be taken down at her daughters house unless she stopped counselling us immediately! I had to write this review because I feel no one should have to go through what we all went through this morning from a supposed established company who uses intimidation on their customers.

Rewired my home.3 different companies have reviewed his work and they have never seen such appalling work. Old cables left in, unsafe wiring, actually a minimum of 17 faults that need urgent attention. The whole job needs doing again. I have lost £7,500 but it will cost someone their life if he is allowed to continue
My parents had a household appliance fitted earlier this year by RMM Maintenance, hence the appliance is still under warranty. There was an issue and they called out RMM who did arrive promptly, spent less than 5 minutes looking at the appliance, said there was no fault and charged them £205. When they questioned why they were being charged when the appliance is still under warranty they were told that because there was no fault with the equipment they have to pay the call out charge. Strangely enough the appliance is now working again but they have had to pay an extortionate fee for an item still under warranty. My parents are elderly and I feel RMM have seriously taken advantage of them, I would definitely not recommend using this company.
Update 25.11.25 the appliance has stopped working again, needless to say we won't be calling RMM.
We rang this company they came out as promised with a 3 hour slot, took 20 mins to fix the small problem just be aware of how much they charge for 20 mins work he charged us £360 disgrace, no materials were required
My parents had flashing lights and called Liam who advised them of several electrical issues and claimed the fuse box was dangerous. They agreed to his £3400 quote to replace the fuse box, rewired a kitchen light, replaced a single socket, attached a double socket to the wall and changed the wiring to bed side lamps.
The work was completed within a week but was postponed a couple of times. Towards the end Liam left, without saying a word, leaving 2 other men to finish off and take the final payment.
Neither a receipt nor certificate has been received. Reading reviews on other sites I now fear the paperwork will not be received. I now wonder about the safety of the work done.
