Ropewalk Marine are a Volvo Penta marine service centre. Despite my boat engine being of another make, the guys at Ropewalk went out of their way to help me resolve a problem with a leaking engine strainer that I needed urgently fixed.
They are knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend them if you need servicing or maintenance in and around Lymington.

Owned a motor yacht and employed another company to fix whatever was wrong with it. Began to get concerned that we were being fleeced. We had just spent another £3000+ on a new oil cooler we were told needed replaing and the boat was returned fully tested. Except the following day one of the engines wouldn't go into gear. The other engineers started doing pressure test but earlier an engineer from Ropwalk told our broker he knew what was wrong and had the cable in his hand. We got rid of our cowboys and instructed Ropewalk. An hour and a half later, a cleaned solenoid, oil filter, and oil change (£160 in total) and the boat was working perfectly.
