AVOID

AVOID, AVOID AND AVOID. I was moved by this company in December. The owner Sat Singh has a great sales technique, promises are made but basically he is a liar. The guys that work for him work very hard but i actually don't know how experienced they were as i have now over £1000 worth of damage and missing items. I have tried to communicate and now being ghosted as i have asked for the insurance form to claim for these breakages and losses. I see now i will be going to the small claims court to get my money. I can't express my disappointment and stress over this and the chaos they left me in at 1am in the morning.

DO NOT USE

We said we would write an honest review and this is what it is.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

MOVING HOME.
Requested a couple hours delay a week prior to moving due to the fact that we couldn’t get keys to the new house until later in the day.

After chasing for a decision the company said yes.

What we didn’t know was that this request would cost £150 more. We were told it was in the Terms and Conditions on the website, but since we didn’t book through the website we were unaware of this.

The van arrived 1.5 hrs late, apparently due to traffic. Remember we were charged for postponing the move by 2 hours but them being almost 2 hrs late made no difference - read the terms and conditions we were told.

On arrival my first thought was that van looks unroad worthy.

I admit that more furniture may have been moved than what the company first thought. We had asked the company to visit to make an accurate assessment but we were asked to take photos which we did and email them. Perhaps this is part of the scam?

When the van left Sat (services manager) called to say there would be a further £275 charge for the extra furniture and £150 for postponement. We were told that the furniture would not be delivered until we made payment and a waiting charge would be added if we didn’t pay straight away.

As we didn’t have time to argue about the hugely exaggerated charge for the extra furniture, accounting to what I would estimate an extra 15minutes of work, we paid the £275 but refused to pay the £150 postponement fee, reasons being 1: We weren’t told about the additional fee when we requested it, 2: they were 1.5 hours late! Sat simply said if we didn’t pay we wouldn’t get our furniture. We came to an agreement that if my partner didn’t write a review he would only charge £50 for the postponement rather than £150. This is what was agreed.

It took me 18 minutes to drive to the new property, but wait for it...the van arrived 3 hours after that! Apparently due to traffic! I eventually got out of one of the removal guys that it was because they went to another job.

I really thought they had stollen all the furniture as at one point the van driver and the manager switched off their phones.

On arrival I noticed 2 huge scrapes along the top of a side cabinet and my sofa was soaked through. According to the removal guys the soaked sofa was due to a hole in the vans roof and it was raining. They apologised for the damaged cabinet and told me to send photos to Sid, this is what we did.

My partner called Sat the following day and he said he would speak to the removal guys and would call him back.

He called back a week later and said they were 3 hours late because of traffic. (Remember I did the same route in 18minutes at the same time). He said the reason for the soaked sofa was due to the rain not a hole in the vans roof. He said the removal guys were unaware of any damage and the damage to the side cabinet must have been done before.

As a good will gesture he said he would refund £30. My partner said we would see him in court.
