I enjoyed RT's difference from the rest, but no longer!

I enjoyed reading RT's different take on all sorts of topics, liked being a part of,exchanging views with the other readers...No longer! RT has become a futile endeavour in trying to communicate,a frustrating migraine headache since it engaged Spot.IM to censor its comments. So much for free speech.RT has become the biggest hypocrite! :-/

Way better than US corporate media

RT puts to shame for-profit corporate media. While Western media, especially American and British outfits, are mouthpieces for the plutocracy and the deep-state apparatuses, RT publishes their dirty laundry so the reader can judge for him- or herself. RT is the nemesis of gringo-jingos. Hurrah for RT and the progressive Russian Federation!

Having said that, their policy of keeping comments by readers squeaky clean (no harsh language and the such) borders on outright censorship. Let the people have their say. Otherwise, RT is no better than plutocrat-controlled media. In this regard, RT rates ZERO stars.

Messed up website

Messed up website. Late May 2020 and the bots have totally taken over, with huge posts of literally meaningless babble that the admin seems to ignore or be unaware of. Impossible to post anything, let alone read other posts, because they delete everything. When my post about vegetables seedlings growing poorly beside my router was marked for deletion, I left and will NEVER return. Easy enough to find a better news site than this stinker.

Don't lose brain cells visiting this website

As state news goes, RT is pretty obvious in its complete and utter bias when reporting. It has zero impartiality and basically takes a giant dump on anything that doesn't represent the Russian nation's political goals.

The comment section makes the website even more hilarious. It is filled to the brim with racists, antisemites, flat earthers, and other idiotic types. This can be seen by reading any story that relates to US foreign policy where comments usually come in the form of "the US are shills of the jews comments", space discovery stories where comments usually say "its all fake, the science is false and that the earth is actually flat" and the middle east where comments always hate on anything Israel related etc.
Additionally, RT actively shadowbans and deletes any comments it doesn't like or that don't follow its narrative. This may sound like a conspiracy but simply using TOR to check if a comment appears when posted clearly shows the shadowban policy it has.

RT has zero credibility and should be avoided at all costs. It is no better than the likes of the Guardian, Daily Mail, Fox news, CNN etc

Accuracy of RT News

RT is accurate most of the time ,RT is also very biased toward Russia. RT is also very easy to accuse America. It would be nice to have he news company that would be unbiased and just give it the way it is. No country is right all the time, No country is wrong all the time. Russia is not as innocent as RT comes across as.

Indian atrocities in Kashmir

RT has always totally ignored Indian atrocities in Kashmir. There is a curfew there and hundreds have died during this almost 40 days of curfew. I believe RT must remain unbiased in covering human rights abuses that Indian government is committing there.

ATLAST AN HONEST TV CHANNEL THAT…

ATLAST AN HONEST TV CHANNEL THAT EXPOSES CORRUPTION, LIES AND SLEAZE.

Have been a fan of RT since it launched.
I'm interested in the Russian world and interested in finding out the truth in the World. Its nice to see RT exposing criminals, tyrants and the like. Instead of feeding us a never ending stream of propaganda from the 1 party state that controls the West.

And no I'm not a "Russian troll". I'm British born and bred, just like my family (over 800 years btw!).

I wonder if Trustpilot will allow my review to go up. My last one gave John Lewis a 1 star and I later raised it to 3 - which made them decide to remove it.(I have now had my privacy invaded and I sent email copies to demonstrate my experience. I wonder if they ask this for John Lewis's 5 star reviews, given the money the spent at Trustpilot!??). So now I gave Trustpilot one star!

Real News

The one and perhaps the only mainstream media outlet reporting the truth. Reporting on news that others are afraid to cover.

I have given up on the BBC and CNN and now only watch RT.

Top quality journalism!

RT reports geopolitical info that my home Country's press (should we call it mess?), Italy, knowingly omits every day (i even discovered some news about Italian politics on RT that were completely omitted from the vast majority of top italian newspapers and news sites).
It's a tiny bit spoiled in favor of V. Putin at certain times, but overall information is top quality, it's also very rapid in reporting important flash news.
I also downloaded the app to keep myself informed every day with notifications (app doesn't crash, it's really stable and easy).
I love RT, it's my #1 source of geopolitical information.

I want RT Italy!

'Russia Today.' Clearly utilised as a…

'Russia Today.' Clearly utilised as a propaganda outlet for the Russian government. The outlet focuses strongly on unfavourable articles and criticism of 'the west'. Every possible negative story picked up, no matter how insignificant, and no discussion at all to be allowed about problems inside Russia itself, pure spin. Luckily it is so transparent and bad at this job, it has very little influence on people with a modicum of common sense. 'Experts' with no practical qualifications hand picked from the looniest corners of the planet to help reinforce the flimsy pretence of being a valid news outlet. About as subtle as a brick through a plate glass window.

Online I often view the comments sections of a given outlet. They are frequently enlightening to the quality of the site, bearing out intelligent discussion and useful questions on the very best sites. A finger on the pulse of the outlet's usual readership so to speak. Unfortunately the comments section on RT is jaw droppingly awful. Ceaselessly displaying an outstanding ability to allow and prominently feature some of the most offensive, backwards, anti-gay, racist, anti-semite, paranoid and downright disgusting statements from the lowest dregs of (un)civilized society.

Any comment or series of comments that stay well within the cited rules but offer intelligent valid questions or simple alternative common sense explanations are rapidly deleted. Leaving only the guttersnipe abuse and mad ravings remaining! Please try it yourself, you'll be truly astounded at the moderator censorship on RT. You can only laugh in disbelief.

Question more? No. Question only what we say you can question. Discuss only the narrative we allow you to discuss.

Excellent news service

Excellent news service.

On mainstream media everyone thinks starting new wars is excellent as a result of their being owned by Rothschild controlled companies who make a killing (literally) out of wars.

Good to see an alternative and more evidence based news network telling the truth about what's going on

RT.com, reader censorship and its employment of Israeli Company Spot.im

I would like to preface this review of RT.com by saying I have nothing against Russia. Indeed, I have great sympathy and respect for the Russian people, particularly given the current scapegoating of Russia by western powers. Mr Putin and his cabinet also appear to be voices of reason in a political climate which seeks to demonise Russia without cause – something I find a disgrace.

However, I've stopped trusting and recommending RT.com (Russia Today)as a news source for the following reasons, which are factual and supportable by evidence.

1. During a time when conscientious people around the world can witness Israel’s ruthless oppression of the Palestinians and their land with absolute impunity under an Israeli Apartheid regime, RT.com has chosen to employ an Israeli software company called Spot.im based in Tel Aviv for the management of RT’s reader comments. This software operates at the foot of each RT.com new article or documentary to allow readers to air their views on RT’s content.

2. RT.com’s reader comments are subject to RT’s censorship, allegedly based on RT’s posting rules, which are viewable online but very difficult to find. I had to email RT for a copy. Part of these posting rules state that “complaints about your post being deleted” is also a breach of the rules and as such posts are subject to censorship.

3. RT.com has persistently allowed racist, hateful, abusive and trolling comments from readers to stand whilst deleting legitimate comments left that are within RT.com’s posting rules. For example, I have screenshots of legitimate, inoffensive comments I have left of this type – very often regarding Zionism and Israel’s internationally recognised illegal activities - which share information with other readers that is pertinent to the RT article content. I have screenshots providing evidence that inoffensive, helpful comments have been deleted without notice or reason very shortly after posting whilst adjacent posts containing racist or hateful content remain – something RT allegedly does not allow to go uncensored.

RT.com has complained to Trustpilot about my previous review, which contained the same statements of fact.

Until I experienced RT.com’s behavior and associations with Israeli company Spot.im, I considered myself a fan of the company and a regular viewer. In a world where we need more reliable, accountable news sources that allow us to genuinely 'question more', it's a shame that RT seems to have no problem censoring its own reader's views, whilst at the same time it complains about its own content being censored around the world. The hypocrisy is self-evident and I no longer encourage friends and family to use RT.com

In a world beleaguered by lies, deceit, propaganda and disinformation, I continue to “Question more”. Just not with RT...
