Told by Ryobi “can’t find part” Wow
RY142500 had a simple threaded brass cap vibrate off below the water hose connection. After an hour on the phone with customer service and their parts supplier Order Tree, I was told they can’t find the cap, but since it’s under warranty they’d replace the entire pump. The only place to repair is over a hundred miles one way. I even sent a picture. Live and Learn, first and my last Ryobi purchase. Choose wisely.
Terrible customer service
The product was just ok, my bigger issue with RYOBI is their customer service/warranty. They are giving me the run around on my weed whacker that broke and I’m assuming it is because it is a discontinued model and they don’t want to send a new one. I have been waiting 1 month for a shipping confirmation email of the replacement, I don’t think they are ever actually going to send it. The process for even submitting the claim was annoying, finding the model numbers and serial numbers, then submitting a video of what is wrong with the product and then they turned around and told me I needed to take it to the closet service repair center (55min away). When I sent an email ripping them a new one I received an email saying they will send a shipping confirmation email when the product ships. I’m actually not even entirely sure they they are sending a new one cause no actually said they were replacing it, they email just said I will receive another email with shipping info. That email had nothing about what was being sent.
I will never buy another Ryobi product…
I will never buy another Ryobi product again did not warranty 80 v battery. It fell within the five years all because I didn’t have a receipt who hold onto the receipts for five years. They asked multiple times for videos and serial numbers. I gave it to them and they just dragged it out and dragged it out don’t waste your time buying anything from this company.
Ryobi has horrible customer service
Ryobi has horrible customer service. They do not reply to emails and do not care. I love the products but they will not support parts under warranty. It's also impossible to speak with anyone. This is a poorly run company. I am very dissatisfied with this company's support. They sold me a new $1,200 lawnmower and after 6 months, a piece breaks and they refuse to communicate to replace it. Horrible! I would give zero stars if possible,

I have a lot of good experience with all my Ryobi tools just keep going. A little more than 2 years ago I bought a new 36V MAX 6 ah battery to my 36V tools. A couple a weeks ago I put the battery in the lawnmower but it didn’t work. I filed a complaint to Ryobi and got the answer: The BMS is broken, it is nothing you can do about it. Little did I know that I could have got a replacement if I had registered the battery at Ryobi website. Maybe it is better to by a compatible battery instead or start buying another brand!

Ryobi Warranty is Worthless
Trying to access a warranty repair with their India help desk is impossible. They do EVERYTHING possible to not honor an in effect warranty. The great one? Take it to our closest repair facility in Santa Ana (I live in San Diego). This would involve a 4 hour round trip on a good traffic day and likely 2 trips. That’s probably $75 in gas. There’s more warranty difficulty, but I think you get the gist. Buy Ryobi but understand you do not have a warranty!

Generally happy when the when the new batteries came out. The Sawsall is awkward heavy and slow.
Why bother
Tried to have a rapid repair done online, can't dot it. 6 CS reps online could not figure it out, 3 phone calls to CS, 3 transfers to technicians, still can't figure out. Item is under warranty, but THEY can't figure out how to fix their own online option. They cannot do the repair contact on the phone, not willing, the system won't allow. I got what I paid for, a crappy trimmer that failed after 6 uses.
Customer service's battery needs a charge
I was on the phone with customer service to register a debris collector #A54HG01 for my hedge trimmer when I could not on line. She did not know where the serial # was. She made me go to the garage to go over the product step by step, put me on hold several times, and finally told me that because it is an attachmet that there no warranty so I don't have to register it. She did not know the concept "landline"as I do not have a cell phone.
I think all products have some sort of warranty. It seems that only ryobi customers who have cell phones can register for a chance to win $10,000 sweepstakes.
They make garbage they don't make…
They make garbage they don't make replacement parts they don't stand behind anything they make. You'd be much better off going to harbor freight and buying budget tools from them or spending a little extra and going with Milwaukee DeWalt or any of the big name tool brands. I give Ryobi 1 out of 10 Stars.
Ryobi sells a 30" riding lawn mower…
Ryobi sells a 30" riding lawn mower that they don't keep basic replacement parts in stock for. In my case, the part is a washer used to attach the deck to the rider. The deck needs to be dropped frequently for cleaning, so losing a washer is easy. The washer size is non-standard so not readily available. They have been out of stock for several weeks, and won't offer a standard size replacement until the washer is back in stock. This frustration is on top of the awful app they shove down your throat to use, and their miserable phone system.
Horrible batteries. No accountability from the company. No real customer support.
My wife and I bought a RYOBI riding mower less than 4 years ago. From the start, the batteries struggled to hold a charge, and eventually could not at all. RYOBI customer support was very unhelpful, and simply told us that we needed to buy replacement batteries, which cost nearly 25% of what we paid for the mower itself. We bought new batteries, which worked well for a few months, until they too struggled and died completely in less than a year. RYOBI customer support, again, was very unhelpful and simply said that the batteries were not under warantly, and the only solution was to buy more. At this point, if we were to buy new batteries, we would have paid for the mower, and then paid another 50% of the original cost in replacment batteries in less than 4 years. We refuse to do that. How can a company that sells battery-based products have such awful batteries and refuse to replace them or offer any assistance when they die so soon / often. We will switch to a new brand, never buy RYOBI products again, and recommend that anyone considering electric products does not buy from RYOBI either.
Horrible batteries.
No accountability from the company.
No real customer support.
Superb Warranty Service from Ryobi Tools Service Centre
I recorded an issue with my Ryobi Circular saw on the warranty site on the 19th July, a Sunday, and to my surprise (and shock) it was collected the next day (a Monday). The circular saw was returned to me on 23rd July having had a new motor fitted. So from notification of an issue with the tool to it's repair and return in my hands in 5 days is fantastic service. Throughout that short period Ryobi kept me fully informed by email as to what was happening.
Thank you Ryobi for superb customer service.
They don't even read my emails.
I have a Ryobi 80V 54" zero turn electric lawn mower. One of the 80V batteries has completely failed. I have had a dozen emails asking for videos of the failed battery, serial number of the mower, battery, and charger, copies of the invoice.
THAT IS FINE. I HAVE PROVIDED EVERY PHOTOGRAPH, MODEL NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER, AND PROOF OF PURCHASE. I AM HAPPY TO DO SO.
They aren't reading my replies. Instead, every day I get another request for exactly the information shared in multiple prior emails. They are just ignoring my replies and repeatedly requesting the same information I have provided previously.
I am working with "support.ryobitools.com." The responses are so clueless that I thought I might have been sucked into a scam site. I haven't. This is the right email for Ryobi support. My best guess is that they have fired humans and the email is now monitored by a bot that refuses to process warranty requests.
I expect that they hope that if this goes on for several weeks, I will just go away. The 80V batteries are expensive (about $900), and Home Depot will not handle replacements for failed 80V batteries.
1 star for the diabolical customer…
1 star for the diabolical customer service and product quality. We purchased a hedge trimmer to maintain a very small garden hedge at our property. We have numerous other ryobi products so purchased to optimise our batteries etc. Whilst the trimmer was significantly more than we needed ( claimed power output) During use I felt it become very warm , then ignited in my hands. I quickly removed the battery and had to extinguish with the garden hose. I spoke with ryobi to arrange collection for them to inspect but they find every excuse possible not to acknowledge or be involved with warranty issues. Scary as the product they sold us that was in warranty could have easily caused significant human or property harm / damage. They are masquerading as a quality product provider but really just cheap Amazon consumer products - avoid and buy reputable products from different suppliers! Dangerous and arrogant are always a bad combination

This the second time I have bought a new charger for my ryobi products and for the second time the charger just stops working. My new products aren’t even 6 months old and already the charger has went out and my husband had to send our new trimmer in to be fixed. THE AUDACITY to sale new charger port for 99 dollars when they are CHEAP and INEFFECTIVE. I am going to make it my mission on all platforms to discourage people from buying your products. This scam company is a sham

Defective Pole Trimmer motor, brand new
Pole trimmer arrived from Home Depot order. Trimmer wouldn’t even start. I have 3 batteries so it wasn’t battery problem. During last attempt the motor started smoking. Put in back in the box and returned to Home Depot. Terrible quality control, brand new and defective motor.

The 540e zero turn a huge waste of money batteries died in a year and I had to spend another $1k to convert it to lithium battery. Support from ryobi was obtuse, cumbersome, and blocking. I have since not bought anything ryobi.
