Performance Marketing Explained

As part of the globalization, website owners have come up with several ways to earn besides the obvious. Publishers and advertisers have tied up to increase both of their sales and traffic. Affiliate marketing is one way to increase online earnings, another is performance marketing.

Performance marketing is different with paid per click (PPC) marketing. With PPC, the website owners or publishers do not care if their visitors buy the products that are advertised in their site. They get paid by the advertisers from the number of clicks / traffics they refer. The publishers are not concerned whether the clicks they have referred made sales or not.

Performance marketing converts these clicks into sales. The publisher / website owners are only paid commissions if their referred visitor buys the products from the advertisers. It could be more difficult since you are not paid unless you make a sale. You need to have a lot of convincing to do so your visitors purchase what actually is published in your site.

It will be a lot helpful if you are selling a product you use or believe in. It will be easier for you to convince others to buy since you have the first hand experience. Performance marketing is not limited to purchase of products, it can also mean leads and referrals.

One way you can improve your performance marketing is with performance publishing. The publishers / website owners write specifically to sell other companies’ products or service. And like performance marketing, you are paid with commission, only when the clicks are converted to sales. If you feel like you have to gift of convincing people, you might consider working on performance publishing too.

There are a lot of ways now to earn online. Performance marketing can help increase your online earnings are endless. There are no boundaries anymore as to how you can earn online.
