I asked for a quote online. I received it promptly. I then received a call from a bloke, quite pleasant and I explained to him that I was simply making a preliminary inquiry. I then received multiple calls and texts to the point where I had to block the number !

I Gave 2 weeks notice I was charged for a full month after the notice had expired. No satisfactory explanation just repeating back to me that it’s correct. Now disputing with customer service with no response despite asking to raise a complaint

Carmen was so professional as soon as I entered reception. She clearly and patiently explained everything a potential client needed to know about the company and listened to my requirements and gave great advice. Thank you again Carmen.

I first started the unit last year and ever since then I have nothing but trouble with them it feels like the give you fault promises all they care about is getting their money it feel like they don't look after their customers. The lady who left was rude and did not care and then tried to get this sorted out with higher management and again was not listen to. When the contract ends I wont renew and will be looking else where.

Excellent customer service. They went beyond my expectations. I found myself in an awkward situation where my furniture would not fit my car and I was moving away from Cardiff, so I had to leave it there in the store had unit. Staff in reception were marvellous. The suggested different solutions. I sold the furniture online and they helped me with the buyer, meaning I didn’t need to physically be there.

Previous to this, every month when I would phone to make the payments everything went smoothly and fast.

I will 100% repeat with Safestore and would recommend to everyone

I used the storage unit for nearly 18 months - moving in with the hubby. I made frequent visits to my units and downsized a few times.

The staff at the store had been really helpful - they also helped me arrange a collection for charity and also helped me shift my stuff into another unit when I was on my own.

I would definitely use them again due to the location and the friendly staff :)

Service has plummeted in the last year or so.

I was on a fixed term contract for a small room. When this was nearing the end I spoke with the store team a few times about options, as I only needed a locker for the few items I wanted to store elsewhere. I was promised that the manager or someone would be in contact but nobody ever contacted me.

Eventually I managed to get some sort of email discussion going, although it was clear from the inconsistent wording, grammar and responses that several people were replying to the manager's email. I haven't seen the named manager there for many months.

There was no interest at all in discussing prices or agreeing another contract. It seems that the short-term demand by students for lockers and small units is more important to them than customers who have been with them for years.

After vacating I emailed and received confirmation that my account was closed. I assumed that the invoice for the following month (at a much higher amount) would be cancelled, but cancelled my direct debit too. I then received an invoice for £15 for payment failure, so they obviously tried to take the money anyway. Another email and I have been told to ignore it. Hopefully that's the end of the saga.

The facility itself is acceptable although it is looking increasingly shabby. Staff seem to remain in the office and never venture out to tidy up mess left by other users or put trolleys back where they belong etc. Security is just your own padlock, the loading bay doors are permanently open and anyone could wander in at any time.

Suffice to say I will be going elsewhere for any future storage needs.
