Great first experience, but my second loan was stressful from start to finish
I’ve used Salary Finance before and had a flawless experience. My first loan was easy to manage, the dashboard was simple, and I even paid it off early without any issues. Because of that, I felt confident using them again when I needed help with an essential repair.
This second experience, however, was completely different.
My application started on 24 July, and although the initial approval was quick, everything after that became slow, unclear, and stressful. I needed this loan for a repair — not a luxury — and the delays made the situation much harder than it should have been.
The manual review dragged on, and then the bank verification took days. I spent the entire weekend waiting, then most of Monday, and still had no update. I had to chase multiple times, send follow‑up emails, and even call them just to confirm they had received my certified bank statement. Their advertised “24‑hour response” suddenly became “3–5 working days,” which isn’t helpful when you’re dealing with an urgent expense.
On top of that, I received daily automated feedback emails asking about my “experience” even though my case wasn’t resolved. It felt like their automated system thought everything was finished while the manual team was still days behind. The communication didn’t match the reality of what was happening.
After all the delays, the verification finally completed on 10 August, I signed the loan, and the money arrived quickly. The product itself works well, and once the admin finally moved, everything was smooth — but the waiting time and inconsistent communication made the whole process unnecessarily stressful.
Salary Finance can be great — my first loan proved that — but this second experience showed that their verification process and communication need serious improvement, especially for customers dealing with urgent repairs or unexpected costs.

This is my second time using this…
This is my second time using this service. If you are accepted for the loan. The money is normally in your account within 15 minutes. The re-payments come straight out of your wages, so you don't have to worry about keeping enough money in the bank.
Absolute life saver
Absolute life saver, I wasn’t aware of this option on advance wages and it has helped me out in a real time of need. Easy to use and money was in within the hour. 100% recommendation from me. Thank you

Very poor experience
Very poor experience – I wouldn’t use Salary Finance again
I took out a Salary Finance loan around two years ago and everything was fine until I changed jobs two months ago.
I contacted them to explain that my payday had changed to the last working day of the month, so the loan payment would need to be taken after this, effectively on the 1st going forwards. The advisor confirmed it would be and I really hope the call was recorded. I was sent a schedule confirming the payment dates, so I thought this had been sorted.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t. They continued attempting payments on inconsistent dates. In July, a 31 day month, for example, they attempted to take the payment on 30th, before I had been paid. The payment therefore didn’t go through. They tried again on 5th August and it was paid without any problem.
When I contacted them again to explain that I had already notified them of my payday change and asked them to check the previous contact/recordings, I was told they would report the payment as a missed payment on my credit file.
I completely disagree with this. The payment was not missed — it was paid. More importantly, the situation would not have happened at all if they had followed the payment date I had agreed with them after notifying them of my change in payday.
I have now paid the loan off in full and will not use Salary Finance again.
It’s incredibly disappointing. I was a customer for two years with no problems, but the poor communication, slow responses and failure to follow the agreed payment arrangements have completely changed my view of the company.
I’d rather give my money to a company that can communicate properly, follow agreed arrangements and take responsibility when things go wrong.
